Title: Michael is in safe keepings now...
Post by: mjthelegendlives on December 09, 2009, 12:54:58 PM
This according to Jermaine...

JERMAINE HAS NO GUILT OVER JACKSON'S DEATH

MICHAEL JACKSON's brother JERMAINE doesn't feel guilty about the late star's death - because there was nothing he could have done to prevent the tragedy.
The Jackson family was stunned when they discovered the Thriller hitmaker was dabbling with prescription drugs, and they rallied around the King of Pop to support him through his problems.
Jackson passed away in June (09) after suffering a cardiac arrest, allegedly caused by an overdose of powerful anaesthetic Propofol.
But Jermaine is adamant there was nothing the family could have done to prevent his passing.
He tells U.S. TV host Larry King, "There's no guilt. I don't like the word drugs... There was prescriptions that weren't good for him. I just don't like the word drugs because that's so vague. That's so broad. And there's all kinds - types of drugs. But I'll say that Michael is in safe keepings now... There was nothing that we could do."

I don't know what he meant by that. English isnt my native language and this could go both ways. but if MJ was really dead, that is some choice of words I would hesitate to use...He's in safe keepings now?

I agree !!  Also Marlon said " that he knew he did drugs but not to that degree !!  Ok, then why did the whole family say they did a intervention.  Surely he is part of the family that knew what he was doing !!
If the attorney Brian Oxnman knewe surely the family did as well.
Plus they are all just a little to calm for me.  I would if I was the family demand that they lock up
Murray.   Surely he has told the police all they need to know, ( should they say he has info we need so lets keep him out of jail right now).  They should arrest Murray then pursue any and all doctors that gave him the drug, in a non surgical setting and any doctor that administered the drug for non surgical reasons.

Hi guys!
You know what this is all me?
They are uncomfortable talking to the brother is dead, because he is not.
The problem is that they are trying to arrange a suitable word, disguise, and in the end everyone ends up wanting or not wanting to (as I have my doubts), confirming what many already know.
Michael had faked his death.
From what I understand, and look I'm no expert in English, he said that Michael is keeping safe!?
Even where this family will be able to handle all these lies?
Hug! :?:

Hhhmm, "SAFE KEEPINGS"....yeah that's a doozy of a slip up. In my honest opinion they are basically letting the believers know he is good and he is A-OK! Thanks family, I needed that assurance after the "The Group threatened him" thread on the obsolete board! :)

"Safe keeping," huh?!?!?!? Such an excellent word choice because it doesn't imply death at all!  Hee hee hee!  Michael is alive!

Everyone sing this Christmas song,
Oh, my gosh my golly
Michael's such a folly
quick, go grab your holly
there's reason to be jolly!

Michael, we love you and hope you are safe, happy and healthy wherever you are in "safe keeping" (thanks Jermaine!)  Just know, Michael, you are in all of our hearts!!!!

Not to dampen anyones hope here, but "Safe Keepings" can also be referenced or interpruted as Michael is now in the hands of our Lord and in his care. I've heard similar saying mentioned at christian funerals.

Just thought I would throw that out there.

Thank you Happy Feet.
I've heard that expression many a times in my life also, and that is exactly the way Jermaine meant it...."he was in safe keeping"...in God's hands"....

Isn't that the first time that he's actually used the word "dead" or "death" when talking about Michael.

Yeah, this can be interpreted as two way, in god's safe hands or he is being well looked after where he is hiding out. I believe the latter!

Also "Safe keepings". Wouldn't it be "keeping" ?

Agreed.  I've heard the term before, but as "in the safe keeping of God/Lord/Jehovah...And even if he meant in the hands of the Lord, that doesn't mean he's passed.

"Safe Keepings" or "Safe Keeping". I don't think it changes much. It's like some say "he's in God's hands" or someone else may say "he's in God's hand" Either way, the reference is used often in christian/religious funerals.  My husband is a pastor and conducts christian funerals. When I asked him, he said "keepings' or "keeping" usually mean the same, just depends on how people choose to word it.  By the way, he doesn't believe in the hoax, so he interpruts that saying as literal....not like his wife :)

She said that in her latest interview with Robin? This reminds me of what Jermaine said: ''he is in safekeepings now''. Safehaven and safekeepings. Hmmm.

I was trying to find the post where they talked abou the safekeepings and what it meant in regards to bereavement, funeral, yada, yada!!

I was at home yesterday and decided to look in my dictionary. It's interesting although someone on the post mentioned what safekeepings meant in regards to God and someone passing on. Here is another meaning:

Safekeeping: 1.) the act of keeping in safety.; 2.) protection or custody.

haven: 1.) a place of shelter & safety. 2.) Literary: a harbor or port. Infinitylady
