It's not the end to have an autopsy report, the coroner confirming it's authentic, Michael's alleged murderer charged, the family having memorials and funerals, etc., etc., but to have his name on his tomb? Come on. If they do it now, they do it, because mostly everybody with a hint of skepticism wondered why on earth his name wasn't there. Remember that if Michael's alive, they probably do want us to believe he's dead, otherwise we wouldn't be here now. ;)

well from what i know, when my relatives passed we didnt put up a headstone until probably 10 months or so after the death

Excellent point, THX i think i really needed this...I'm spending the week at my Mom's (a firm non-beLIEver) and i've been on the computer like all day and she just starts tripping like "why R U so obsessed over a dead man? this earth is for the living...U can't waste UR life like this...he's gone get over it" it just got me so angry and sad...i mean i really care about what she thinks and it just hurts that she won't accept my beliefs :cry: :cry: :cry: sorry 4 this...just venting :cry:

Guys I admit it's a little shocking to hear they're carving his name on the tomb, but who's to say it's real? Say they show us pictures of a tomb with his name on it, we have no idea if they're actually real or fake. Unless you go down to forest lawn and see his name on that tomb with your own two eyes you never know for sure. The people at forest lawn keep going back and forth as to whether or not Michaels body is even really there!! It's all what the family is telling them to say and do.

Michael Jackson is somebody that the Earth has been blessed to have. His innocence and unconditonal love was addicting, his music speaks words that still make me tear up to this very day. I THANK GOD HE IS ALIVE, to know that he is still on this Earth, continuing his mission in life, and for that, is enough. All us BELIEVERS should trust in our knowledge, and not look at the media every 5 seconds and get swayed by one word. ALL THE CLUES ARE THERE!!!!!

Put it this way, his tomb will be prepared with his name carved for when he really dies years to come. I am trying to be so optimistic here. I am playing scenarios in my head. Why now why not when he died(supposedly) My uncle passed away and we carved his name the week after. Something is fishy here. Do you agree with me?

What makes anyone think the kids are lying anyway.Think about the different speeches they have made and you will notice that their speeches don't sound in any way as if it's in past tense.

So????Even if they carve his name so??we have seen worse things, he is officially "dead" so it's a natural thing to carve his name on the grave, it took them a whole year to do that, now it's time, otherwise people will start to ask questions and i disagree that it's the end of the hoax, it's the beginning. Don't lose hope anyone. That place that reports that about the engraving is so fake, but if they really do put his name on something we are not actually there to see in person so it could be shopped or so what if its a real name. I can put a tombstone in my yard and put a name on it and bury a paper cup under it. :lol:

second: Is it common that people (celebrities) buy graves for themselves, so when they actually die...the family etc doesnt have to worry about the final resting place? When you buy a grave your name and everything is documented right? so what's the difference if you'll already having your name carved on that tomb, where you are going when you are really dead? it's yours...so...why nt? sorry this may sound ridiculous :)

I've always said that once his name and date of birth, date of death are inscribed on the crypt, I'm out. However, are they talking about his crypt or this erection at his home in Gary? The latter doesn't count.

But, I meant that, with him being BESIDE himself, worrying about his own children---I don't think he had the time to watch his own dad on the news that evening, all broken and yet matter of fact, make it PLAIN for any fool to see that he LOVED his almost 40 year old son SO much, he still saw him as "his baby boy".

A headstone goes on a grave. Don't they have towait a while for the earth to settle before a headstone is placed? That is not the case with a tomb that has been there for many years (unoccupied). They could have had his name on there before September 3rd.

I don't know if the engraving actually happened or not. I can't find any evidence of it, at this point. I would think that would be big news in the tabloid columns. I mean, c'mon, at least TMZ would have had something, for sure. (What, no scoop by National Photo Group?) ;)
In any case, if an engraving actually did get done, it means absolutely nothing to me. After a million-dollar memorial, endless tributes, and a year of questionable circumstances, my belief is not going to be rattled by someone etching some words into stone. And while we're on the subject, why now? Let's see...we can throw together a star-studded memorial event in less than two weeks but it takes a year to mark a crypt? Whatever. It's all part of the experience...i know this in my heart...I truly BELIEVE, what we are suppose to be doing is showing Michael that we will be here for him and if we want him back,he has to see that we are spreading awareness to others...we need to post what we are doing, what have we done, or what can we do to get more information to all who love Michael and to everyone else. when Michael does come back, he knows has enough support behind him. Take a chance and believe that MJ is looking at our posts, let him see how much we care, tell him how we are spreading love and awareness to the world...Then i'm sure Michael will come and lead the way...he needs his army to be prepared and strong in numbers...Remember he is going to have a big fight on his hands in order to pull this off. He needs us to be united and fighting for him now..he needs to see it. Please believe me...this comes from my heart and with love for you all!

Isn't it really disrespectful to place a casket on the back of a truck like that and then to tie the dollie next to it? I doubt this is a casket let alone Michael's.

I was at forest lawn July 3rd and there were very little people plus the small stage with some of the flowers and gifts on it, partly from June 25th.I asked security whether I was allowed to take the few steps to look at the entrance and to look through the windows of Holy Terrace.He said:They told me not to let anybody up there,sorry madame,it is my first day here. I asked him whether he had seen the tomb. And he said he had had a quick guided look inside. So I asked him whether it is true that the tomb finally has Michaels name engraved on it, and he answered he did not pay attention to that, so he could not say whether yes or no. He was very politefull and sort of made me feel he really felt sorry for not being allowed to let me up there. He said it was his first day there.I also asked whether the family visits regularly,but he did not know that either.
I just could not stop the feeling that we should not see anything and definately not get the opportunity to zoom in on the tomb.

I'm sure the paps would have seen the family there since they had been going there all the time. I don't think they do go there. I think on the 1 year anniversary it was all for show, including the Gary event & the Forever Michael tribute. Also, I wouldn't believe the name engraved thing, since no on gets to see it. Also, that doesn't mean he's buried there, he could have just purchased it or something. Could be fake all together.

Hmm.. i was there June 25th and June 27th.. same for me, i couldnt get up to the door so i went around the back instead where his window is to feel closer to him (if he is there) I flew from UK so wont be going again for a while. :lol:
If you go again when they have taken the barriers down and can get up to the door, please come back to the forum and let us know. The FL staff were wonderful when i was there and i am sure if you go back in a weeks time or something and ask again they will tell you the answer.. find someone who isnt there on there first day. :lol:

@dancingthedream,the barriers were not here that day! So that was only to guide the fans those days around June 25th.
I flew in from Europe as well,but I am quite often in LA for work.I don`t know yet when my next time will be,but I surely will visit and report again. I find it remarkable that they changed this behaviour; I remember videos of fans being allowed to stay in front of the entrance a few months ago.Especially since the number of visits dramatically dropped.That is at least what they told me at FL.

I agree with you about not putting any stock into the engraving thing. As you said, no one get to see it so even if a report came out that it WAS done, how would we know that's true? I wouldn't even believe a pic, seeing how many things can and have been altered with Photoshop. And even if I could see and touch the words myself, that doesn't mean anyone's inside.
I find it much more interesting that, after all this time, the family has done nothing with it. When my mother died, her gravestone was up within a few weeks. It would bother me to have her in an unmarked grave for over a year (but maybe that's just me). That seems like such a simple thing to take care of . . . so why not take care of it, already? Unless there's a very good reason not to.

This thread is pretty old, but I wanted to contribute since I just went inside the Holly Terrace a few days ago. It was actually the second time I was able to go inside. Just wanted to report, that there is still no engraving on the tomb. At least I didn't see any. I was only inside for a few second, but I am pretty sure if there WAS one, it would be big enough to see with a naked eye :roll: . Last time I was inside was on Feb. 14th of 2011 (Valentine's day).

Oh, and btw, and I'm not sure if it's common knowledge, but there are many other people buried at the Holly Terrace, so anybody visiting can see that there is no engraving on the tomb. The first time I was able to go inside was because another lady who came to visit someone who was buried there left the door open.
