They don't care

They'd do me for the money

They don't care

They use me for the money

Maybe there was a different Michael from 1988 to 2009.......he passed away?  Or it was time for him to go?  We will now meet the man we never knew?
No matter what the outcome, the message of love remains.

I am ROFL   I seriously think this is "someone's" joke. Remember when MJ went to that funeral home after James Browne died, and the funeral director said he spent about 4 or 5 hours there checking everything out, and asking a ton of questions. Maybe it's the same guy. I wonder where that funeral home is. There is just no way he can be serious.MJ vi.jpg[/attachment:2w1x1ze2]

I am sure that this must be a comedy.
But I am not sure who is behind it. Obviously the homepage doesn't exist, the dates are wrong, and the person seems like he is acting. He is making very interesting face expressions and moving his head constantly.

But what stands out most are his dark eyes and the smoothness of his skin, having no wrinkles. Compared to Mr. Magoo, I think it is worth looking deeper. lol

Actually the chins do match pretty good. Could the experts on facial morphs help with this? I know it's a stretch but you never know. If there was a remote chance, it's hard to believe someone could put on his facial expressions especially his lips  . The voice actually does sound like MJ's deep voice that he used for the mayor.

Mr. Magoo had a nose that was big, this guy has big distant ears. It looks as if we get to see people with slight anatomic abnormalities. This reminds me of Alice in Wonderland and the staff of the red queen using prostetics.

red queen.jpg[/attachment:1wtzbc30]

I also noticed that the voice could be the Major's voice, especially the way of stressing specific words and moving the head.

Here's the bottom half of the article. It relates to MJ, IMO. Just a reminder that MJ mentioned the name Mr. Magoo in a more recent speech in Japan?, correct me if I'm wrong, to do with putting on his reading glasses.
Quote
In all of his adventures, Mr. Magoo has been in a desperate situation. He is virtually blind, pitifully weak, and very small. He is handicapped also by a majestic inability to understand the dynamics of the world through which he stumbles. Yet every time we encounter him, he is facetoface with malignant and inimical forces of both the animate and inanimate orders. Shysters, confidence men, and bandits try to do him in or to bleed him dry. His near-blindness inevitably carries him to a point just short of irredeemable destruction. He has teetered on girders, fallen down elevator shafts, had a wild leopard for a pet, played golf with a bear and tennis with a bull walrus. No man so ill-equipped and so endangered can possibly survive—except in the dream world of the animated cartoon.

By now we have seen enough Magoo cartoons to know the basic plot line; but we have not yet tired of his incredible good luck, and I do not think we will. The joke of Magoo's improbable survival will continue to amuse us because, behind the joke, there lies a reassurance that we all need. As we watch him we all become Magoo. He is a personification of a part, though only a part, of every man's inner image of himself. Our own feebleness, our own ineptitude, our own confusion are drawn out of unconsciousness and externalized for us in the dream image of Mr. Magoo. The dangers he faces symbolize the less dramatic dangers to which we all are sensitive in our own lives. Perhaps all ages have been ages of anxiety, but certainly ours is as full of fright as any other. The fear of war, the fear of loss of identity, the fear of boredom, the fear of isolation, the fear of our own impulses—all these are rearoused in us as Magoo faces his more concrete horrors.

But dreams, whether private or public, are wish-fulfilling; and it is Magoo's function to still our fears. This he does splendidly. If this monument to bumbling ineptitude and incapacity always comes through—not only having saved his skin, but with some gain to show for the experience— why then, we too may rest easy. The dangers we face are surmountable; nothing can touch us any more than it does Magoo. With him, we are inviolate.

This comic device for the arousal and reduction of anxiety through the evasion of physical threat is, of course, as old as slapstick comedy itself. Disney has used it effectively, as did such great comic heroes as Chaplin, Charlie Chase, Harold Lloyd, and W. C. Fields. But all of these heroes were at least partially responsible for their own escape from physical threat. To some degree, they earned their salvation. Fields had a certain low, illegitimate cunning. Harold Lloyd had inexhaustible reserves of energy. And even Chaplin the tramp had his wonderful physical grace, which was really a kind of athletic prowess.

On the other hand, Mr. Magoo's survival in the face of danger is inexplicable. It seems to us a sheer gratuity, totally unrelated to any source of power in the man himself. But is this true? Is Magoo just plain lucky? Or is there perhaps some secret power that he does possess, some obscure but trustworthy magic of his own devising? Is his survival a gift of inscrutable fate, or does he earn it?

Running through all the Magoo cartoons there is, I believe, a secret intimation that it is not fate that has saved Magoo but rather, that he has saved himself. How has he done this? Here the artists of UPA unconsciously voice a hope that lies deep and not fully known within each of us. Magoo has saved himself—and we may save ourselves—by complete allegiance to a set of social values and moral conceptions.

The values Magoo lives by are those of yesterday's self-made man. In comic guise, he is a personification of the verities of a social era contiguous with our own. He is American individualism in its purest moral form. With a directness that verges on quixotism, he wants what he wants when he wants it—but only because he is convinced that the rules of society justify his wants and have put him clearly "in the right." He speaks his mind always and expects as much from other men. He plays fair and expects to be treated fairly. His personality is compounded in equal parts of eccentric individuality, square shooting, get-up-and-go vigor, and classic persistence. Furthermore, he never questions the tenets of his existence; the honest word, strongly spoken, will always do the trick. A respect for tradition, exemplified in the Victorian clutter of his home or in the firm bond of the old school tie, supports him in his unquestioning belief in himself. And, ultimately, this belief in himself, rooted in his internal loyalty to a moral view of existence, keeps him whole and secure in the face of dangers that, because of his faith rather than his myopia, are not visibly real.

So the underlying serious and unconscious message of these cartoons is, as I see it, simply this: to stand securely in an insecure world, a man must stand for something. I do not believe that the artists behind Mr. Magoo are suggesting that we should stand, as he does, for primitive rugged individualism. For Magoo is, after all, treated by them with ridicule as well as love. What they are saying to us, and with us, is that individual man finds his fulfillment in commitment to purposes and truths that encompass more than himself.

For those who may be numbered among Mr. Magoo's loyal following (it would be interesting to know precisely who and how many they are), the appeal of these cartoons must be based in large part on the fact that they give expression to the hunger for a moral meaning in existence. Their unconscious recognition of the connection between Magoo's moral dedication and the near-miracle of his survival must certainly serve the members of his audience by reassuring them that the hunger for moral meaning is neither futile nor aberrant. Indeed, I am tempted to borrow some terms from David Riesman's lexicon and to suggest that Magoo may have his greatest appeal in the eyes of lonely "inner-directed" persons caught up in an increasingly "other-directed" round of existence.

I'm not very good at this pic comparison posting. Look at the droopy eyes of MJ and funeral guy, the bottom teeth showing when he talks, and the noses. And to me there's similarity with the Mr. Magoo guy.IMO

That's it, MJonmind. The eyes have it. They are MJ's eyes, the Major's eyes, DaveDave's eyes.

It is also the Major's voice as we have already said before.
Unfortunately I am not able to make a vid and post it. But maybe somebody who is quick with such things can help us and put some voice samples together? I think it is definately worth doing it.

I am speaking about the following sections for instance:
http://www.youtube.com/user/Casketameri ... 8pLcG-PbPs (http://www.youtube.com/user/Casketamerica#p/a/u/1/d8pLcG-PbPs)
1:27 saying "find"
and
http://www.youtube.com/user/MyWhoisit#p/u/3/SeHRSbWYhuM (http://www.youtube.com/user/MyWhoisit#p/u/3/SeHRSbWYhuM)
4:34 saying "fine",
but there are a lot more.

The strategy of Michael'S disguises is to change certain features and to keep others.
In the DaveDave disguise, he changes almost everything except his voice and remarkable looks and facial expressions that can be recognized.
Here he changes his voice, but keeps the body stature and the cleft chin.
Michael is disguising himself perfectly and acting completely absorbed by the figure he is representing. But after all, he is acting for the audience and leaving little clues.
When he is looking into the camera without speaking, I see him comunicating with the viewer, almost hypnotizing him.
casket guy looking into camera.jpg[/attachment:1cfxmial]

About the presentation of the casket: It is completely useless for promoting a product because we don't get to see the mystical casket at all, but only a oneman show of the salesperson. Also the content of the speach is absolute nonsense as well as the product itself. Reading the product description, I think there is nothing to add.

"DON'T BELIEVE THE STORIES!!! Regardless of media reports, Michael Jackson was in his Golden Casket. It is unethical to think otherwise, regardless of the circumstances! Let the "King of Pop" rest in peace...NOW, you can have your own peace of mind by owning a reproduction of his famous Golden Casket: complete with Flame Blue Velvet Interior, "Engraved Memorial Plate" and "Certificate of Authenticity." Use this most unique momento to store your MJ concert memorabilia, clothing, music, posters, etc...you can even add a CD or MP3 player to "rock the evening all night long" and even sleep in it. (Although a genuine burial casket, it has a safety non-gasketed lid for home use.)"

The guy's comment on his youtube channel is also a nonsensical paradoxon: "I appreciate your comment; however, I am not aware of that video." --> ?????

So if KarenJoyMC wouldn't have posted the vid, I think we would have missed it. It is up on youtube since July 2009 without having much views. Apparently it didn't get the attention of the broad audience, which would have been sad, because it is a masterpiece for those who are open to see the funny side of the hoax.

I think it's just the way he's talking - putting so much emphasis into every single word. This guy is trying pretty darn hard to speak the way he is, I wonder what his real voice sounds like...  ;)

agreeing with dejavu, IMO the body movements and facial expressions match perfectly with the voice so I think it was not recorded separately.

seriously, I think this revelation says much about the hoax
1.we get a proof that Mr. Magoo was MJ attending the Grammys in disguise + the Black eyed Peas are definately in on it (and many other celebrities too, half of Hollywood I think)
2. theories that base upon danger (murder, escape, witness protection, others...) can be excluded, we see Michael on top of his skills, he is having a really good time here, and he is not using a character that can be linked to any serious incident like the DaveDave disguise, so this performance is mainly for entertainment purposes
... to be continued...

I dont know if I want to laugh or scream!  That is so ridiculous on so many levels, but it is also so very sad that people would be willing to give a dime for this.  What kind of person has a coffin in there home.  Let alone a coffin to sleep in.  Are you freaking kidding me?!?!!!!  Money hungry idiots!  I hope and pray that someone does not fall for this.

Well I went over to the Youtube site - Michael Jackson Casket-Sleep in one at your house. (July 20, 2009)Interesting that the most recent commenter says, "Hi Michael!".  Then I put on- Dr. Conrad Murray thanks supporters (Aug. 18, 2009), and played them both at the same time. Seemed to me the tone was the same, just different accents. I would never have thought MJ could do a lower voice until I heard him use it for fun on a home video when he was in his teens, and then in a phone conversation with someone pretending to be a friend of his and then suddenly talking about him molesting kids. Immediately MJ goes into this deep voice and lets the guy know that he isn't pranked that easily and turned the tables on that jerk.

I think the satire fits well with the Thriller theme of graveyards and crypts, and in Ghosts after scaring them all out of their wits with ghoulish creatures and a skeleton, Michael has the nerve to ask them, "But did we have a good time here?"
I guess I would say that I'm not convinced it's Michael, but I'm not convinced it's not Michael either. Similarly to Mr. Magoo, there is simply not enough proof to be sure.
In this interview MJ does a lot of head movements that might be similar.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LOmE-4IO8SY&NR=1 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LOmE-4IO8SY&NR=1)

Speaking for myself, I am completely convinced that we see Michael performing one of his jokes here. And I agree with MJonmind that it fits perfectly into the Thriller/Ghosts-theme.
I need no further proof, dejavu's comparison with the Major (head position, face expression) did the rest for me.

One could say that I am being gullible to my senses, concluding too early and believing what I want to believe, but at some point I stopped to wait for others to agree with me. This will never happen, people see things differently. There is no use trying to convince anybody.

My only wish is that other beLIEvers would be open to consider that this Casket Guy is a creation of Michael Jackson and enjoy his performance like I do.

Friendlikeme81, you're right about that. I agree that it is useless trying to convince anybody. There is no need to. It is what you believe that matters. Personally, I find it interesting to see how other beLIEvers see things from their perspective, but that doesn't mean that I always agree.
Anyway, I beLIEve that the Casket Guy is a creation of Michael and I do like his performance too, it's like a new kind of "Tales from the crypt" or something  :D

777 is a reference to the hoax either by a believer who has made this video or by Michael who created it as a joke himself.

ok, thanks, I was confused of your calculation because you wrote 2009-1998(?), but I guess you refered to 1988.

Funny how the Casket guy messes up with this date, it is another ingredient to make the whole vid completely ludicrous.

That's beyond my capabilities to do but I wish.   Their voices are the same! :o  Can you do a favor and do another video with the casket guy and the Dr. Murray thanks supporters video to compare voices. :)  It's funny how we compared DD's voice to Michael's usual voice, and now here to the Ghost mayor's voice. Michael is indeed leaving us a trail to follow, and ways to connect the dots. Thanks Michael. If it truly is Michael, then there must be some message/s in it for the hoax. But what? Also here's the TMZ casket pic.coffin walks.jpg[/attachment:1zdn3zz2]  Just look at Michael snickering. What a prankster! Nice to hear that my amateurish video could help a bit.  :)
About the message: I think this hoax has many facets, some really serious ones and others which are to entertain, some spooky fun.
I believe Michael is indeed snickering a lot when he is watching what happens around him. You can imagine what I mean when you look at him saying "This is an adventure, a great adventure" in TII...
And this kind of snickering is really infectious to me. It ends in laughing about the discrepancies of this world and life instead of crying about them.
So I don't know what Michael really wants to tell us with this Casket joke, maybe there is not as much message in it as we might expect. I see it as a slapstick performance, a vivid demonstration of his acting skills and his black humor. This would be enough message for me in this case.

MJonmind, you also brought up KarenJoyMC as the poster who helped spreading this Casket Guy video. I know she was doing many hoax vids, so how can it be that she did not recognize Michael in it? Did she really not?? I ask that because she states that the vid is "wrong on so many levels"... :?:
Sometimes I wonder what really happens behind the curtain of youtube hoax channels. Considering that Michael is directing the hoax from behind the scenes, I cannot imagine that he leaves it to chance what happens there...

Well, I was just on the thread about Earth Song TII and Seven Last Words of Christ. And the discussion was about dontmakeitfactual possibly finding another easter egg. I'm thinking this Casket Guy is another easter egg. MJ easter egg hunt.png[/attachment:z81p82s4]

They were also discussing about the youtube video creator, SevenLastWords being MJ or not. Then there's BACK and Shikster, and on and on. I think it is Michael moving in and out amongst us, totally involved. He said that about his songs and productions that he was a hands-on kind of producer involved in every aspect of what went on. Yes he assigns many chosen people to do various tasks, with key positions open for him to do alone. Like MJ said to Randy Phillips, "Thanks for taking me this far, I can take it from here." On that thread someone mentioned the danger aspect of the hoax. I think that MJ has lived with danger all his life, and he has made danger part of the fabric of his creativity. He is truly fearless, yet sometimes he expresses all his emotions.

Just a thought about the Casket video, and money. I'm sure that every family touched by death, has lamented the exorbitant cost of burying their loved ones. I know I have. The Funeral business has you over a barrel, because you have to get rid of the body, you have to show your love for your loved one to the world, so you put out the money. The funeral business tends to stay in families because its not exactly a glorious profession, children chose to be when they grow up.
Apparantly in Great Britain they have "Green funerals" where the body is placed in a well-designed cardboard box, set inside a traditional expensive ornate wooden coffin with a relelase door on the bottom, for release in the ground after family leave the graveyard but before the hole is filled. Then there are "Green" graveyards that are simply parks where a tombstone is instead an engraved regular natural rock, situated with others along pathways, for families to enjoy picnics, etc. Everything would be natural, "green", practical, and less expensive. When I looked all these things up a while back, apparantly this business has not come yet to North America, probably because the wealthy death businesses here are resisting it. So maybe Michael is poking fun at them.

I've already told my family that I want to be cremated, my ashes scattered in a certain clump of trees on my old farm home, and then I want my name engraved on a park bench along the bicycle trail that is in Assinaboine Park, a beautiful favored park in my city. There are already many such benches and I love sitting on them for a rest, and think about the people who wanted to do that! :) So I want no coffin or tombstone. What are your thoughts or intentions on your wishes, some of you who are older?

Oh, I like that EasterEgg picture!
I can imagine Michael searching for days for a really dodgy place to hide them eggs  and then pretending to go and seek with an innocent face amongst the others.
And then, if the kids don't find what he has hidden, he gives little clues to make them speculate and seek even more. Oh sh#t, we are on a big playground here, aren't we?

So if this performance was an Easter Egg, it was not hidden in its location, but only not recognizeable as one (another form of hiding). And I still think the phrase "the vid is wrong on so many levels" is slightly directing towards having a deeper look on that Casket Guy. If it was done intentionally or not may maybe never be answered.

I think Casket Guy's black humor concerning the burial of Michael Jackson and his personification of greedy funeral companies ("Mortuary of the Stars") fits into the whole scenery with the guests laughing at the funeral and dancers taking smily-shots in front of the "Liberian Girl" picture. It leaves space to speculate for which other stars Casket Guy also offers his "services", we had some pretty mysterious deaths in the last time.??

Speaking for me, I am quite indifferent about the subject of burial. Being young, I prefer to forget about my own mortality and the surrounding matters in daily life, but this is just on the outside. I am driving a quite long distance by car every day and from time to time I have nightmares about loosing control of my vehicle.
And when I was growing up, I had a time dealing with this subject very intensively. In my hometown there is an old cemetary with rotten crypts that were open at this time before their reconstruction. There I sometimes went into hiding, also looking for sculptures that weren't displaced into a museum (just looking!!). I remember one winter day standing in a dark crypt and then the sun began to shine through the holes in the wall. I think I was a little bit impressed by that moment, it is something I put into my own photo album of meaningful events. :)

I think it is worth looking for other EasterEggs as well. I remember the pale woman that occured in Feb at the day of the Murray Court hearing. The case was solved because Justice4Michael said to know the person. After all, my doubts are not eliminated, (s)he seemed to be a real good thriller disguise...

Part of Jesus' ministry was bringing an understanding of eternal life, and a second spiritual birth after a physical birth. So resurrection is the crowning glory of Christ's message. If there is no resurrection we are in a sad state since this would be all there is, but I believe we will receive new bodies of light that will never die, and Jesus was the first example. Casket guy says welcome to the Mortuary of the Stars- death of celebrities, death of the physical universe--second law of thermo dynamics. But the Bible offers the good news. 1 Corinthians 15:
Quote
1 Corinthians 15
The Risen Christ, Faith’s Reality
1 Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, 2 by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain.
3 For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, 5 and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve. 6 After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain to the present, but some have fallen asleep. 7 After that He was seen by James, then by all the apostles. 8 Then last of all He was seen by me also, as by one born out of due time.
9 For I am the least of the apostles, who am not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. 10 But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me. 11 Therefore, whether it was I or they, so we preach and so you believed.
The Risen Christ, Our Hope

12 Now if Christ is preached that He has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? 13 But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ is not risen. 14 And if Christ is not risen, then our preaching is empty and your faith is also empty. 15 Yes, and we are found false witnesses of God, because we have testified of God that He raised up Christ, whom He did not raise up—if in fact the dead do not rise. 16 For if the dead do not rise, then Christ is not risen. 17 And if Christ is not risen, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins! 18 Then also those who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. 19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men the most pitiable.
The Last Enemy Destroyed

20 But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. 21 For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead. 22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive. 23 But each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ’s at His coming. 24 Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power. 25 For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet. 26 The last enemy that will be destroyed is death. 27 For “He has put all things under His feet.”[a] But when He says “all things are put under Him,” it is evident that He who put all things under Him is excepted. 28 Now when all things are made subject to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subject to Him who put all things under Him, that God may be all in all.
Effects of Denying the Resurrection

29 Otherwise, what will they do who are baptized for the dead, if the dead do not rise at all? Why then are they baptized for the dead? 30 And why do we stand in jeopardy every hour? 31 I affirm, by the boasting in you which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily. 32 If, in the manner of men, I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantage is it to me? If the dead do not rise, “Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die!”[b]
33 Do not be deceived: “Evil company corrupts good habits.” 34 Awake to righteousness, and do not sin; for some do not have the knowledge of God. I speak this to your shame.
A Glorious Body

35 But someone will say, “How are the dead raised up? And with what body do they come?” 36 Foolish one, what you sow is not made alive unless it dies. 37 And what you sow, you do not sow that body that shall be, but mere grain—perhaps wheat or some other grain. 38 But God gives it a body as He pleases, and to each seed its own body.
39 All flesh is not the same flesh, but there is one kind of flesh[c] of men, another flesh of animals, another of fish, and another of birds.
40 There are also celestial bodies and terrestrial bodies; but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. 41 There is one glory of the sun, another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for one star differs from another star in glory.
42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption. 43 It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power. 44 It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. 45 And so it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being.”[d] The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.
46 However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural, and afterward the spiritual. 47 The first man was of the earth, made of dust; the second Man is the Lord[e] from heaven. 48 As was the man of dust, so also are those who are made of dust; and as is the heavenly Man, so also are those who are heavenly. 49 And as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear[f] the image of the heavenly Man.
Our Final Victory

50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption. 51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”[g]
       55 “ O Death, where is your sting?[h]
O Hades, where is your victory?”

56 The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

MJonmind, this is interesting, I did not think about taking "mortuary of the stars" in an astronomic context.

Has anybody ever found out what galaxy the pictures on the Memorial in WYBT show? Maybe a supernova (dying of a star) or a big bang (birth of a star). Any thoughts on that?

When I googled it I found this:

Crescent Moon and Star Symbol
The symbol of a crescent moon and star has been used since antiquity. The Greeks used it to represent the goddess Diana, the Carthaginians used it to represent their goddess Tanit, and it was used in worship in Central Asia and Siberia. The symbol has been used by cities and to commemorate battles. It has been imprinted on coins, flown on flags, and approximately one thousand years ago, it was painted on the ceiling of a rock canyon in the American southwest. Some of these artifacts may also record the supernova that created one of the jewels of the night sky, the Crab Nebula.

There are several records that document the supernova in 1054. In the records of the Chinese Sung Dynasty, a “guest star” was observed in the constellation of Taurus. A Japanese observation describes a nova as bright as Jupiter and in Arizona, New Mexico, and Baja California, Mexico, indigenous people were painting a crescent moon near a star on canyon walls and boulders. But are these the only records of Supernova 1054?

Background
Not long after becoming interested in archeoastronomy, I was looking through a book with pictures of flags from countries around the world. I was immediately intrigued to see so many flags with a crescent moon and star. Was this a coincidence?

After asking a few times, I was told that the crescent moon with a star are symbols of Islam. The evidence for the response seemed reasonable. Muslims begin some holidays, such as Ramadan, based on the phase of the Moon; their calendar is based on the lunar cycle; they are to visit a holy meteorite in Mecca at least once in their lives; and their religion has roots near Babylonia, known for astronomical observations.

The early Muslims, however, did not use symbols on their flags. They flew solid green, black, or white flags. The crescent moon and star were not used until the Ottoman Empire in 1453 when the Turks conquered Istanbul and adopted the city flag. Was there another reason why this symbol appears on so many Muslim flags? Could they also be a record of Supernova 1054?

Googling Supernova 1054:

SN 1054
SN 1054 (Crab Supernova) was a supernova that was widely seen on Earth in the year 1054. It was recorded by Chinese, Japanese, Native Americans, and Persian/Arab astronomers as being bright enough to see in daylight for 23 days and was visible in the night sky for 653 days. The progenitor star was located in the Milky Way galaxy at a distance of 6,300 light years and exploded as a core-collapse supernova.

There is also evidence the Mimbres and Anasazi Native Americans saw and recorded SN 1054; an Anasazi cliff painting near the great house of Penasco Blanco may portray it.

It has also been claimed that an obscure entry in a number of Irish monastic annals originally referred to SN 1054 but was subsequently corrupted, becoming in the process an allegorical fantasy based on the legend of the Antichrist.

The cloudy remnants of SN 1054 are now known as the Crab Nebula. The nebula is also referred to as Messier 1 or M1, being the first Messier Object cataloged in 1758. X-rays from this object were detected in April 1963 with a high-altitude rocket of type Aerobee with an X-ray detector developed at the Naval Research Laboratory; the X-ray source was named Taurus X-1, and the energy emitted in X-rays by the Crab nebula is about 100 times more than that emitted in the visual light.

A pulsating radio source, now known as the Crab Pulsar, lies in the heart of the nebula.

I was reading the post of  Ninanina of S.T.U.D.Y.'s old posts, and these references to "the media's wicked ways and the death industry" and "satirizing showmanship in places like Forest Lawn Cemetery", caught my eye. That's precisely what MJ's doing in this advert for the Memorial of the Stars.

The "Final Curtain"

"Final Curtain" is the name of a hoax about death that was started in September of 1998! It was designed by Joey Skaggs, and you can read about it on the Museum of Hoaxes website {click here}; on the Final Curtain website {click here}; and on Skaggs’ own website {click here; also click here}. I have selected a few very interesting statements from these websites, as well as from a few other sources.

"In 1998, Skaggs put together an international team of volunteer writers, artists, and designers to create The Final Curtain … It was immediately accepted by the public as a reality without question. … Skaggs always leaves clues in his [hoax] performances." {click here}

"… the Final Curtain hoax was two years in the making, and involved dozens of co-conspirators. … Numerous talented writers and artists, some of whom prefer to remain anonymous for professional reasons, created an elaborate and convincing nonexistent virtual business under Skaggs’ creative direction." {click here}

"JOEY SKAGGS has been staging hoaxes—to lampoon the media, to lampoon the culture, but never to make money—for 34 years. Some hoaxes are huge and take place over the course of years … THE SIGNS WERE THERE for journalists who doubted Final Curtain. But they didn't. … Part of participating in Final Curtain was agreeing to keep my mouth shut until it was time to reveal the hoax. … Final Curtain wasn't intended to make money; it was intended to draw attention to two issues—the media's wicked ways, as we've seen, and the death industry." {click here}

Wikipedia on Joey Skaggs: "The Final Curtain … It was meant to satirize showmanship in places like Forest Lawn cemeteries." {click here}

Although a different MJ, notice the name of a person who reported about the Final Curtain: "KRLA, CBS, Los Angeles, Michael Jackson, 10-25-1999" {click here; also click here}

"This [Final Curtain] was a really sophisticated  8-)  :lol:  ;)  :o prank with a lot of people involved. … Media hoaxing has a bright, promising future [after the year 2,000!?!]. All we can hope is that the hoaxers are smarter than the media." {click here}
And in the line of "elaborate and convincing nonexistent virtual business", I am absolutely convinced that http://www.sunflowerguy.com (http://www.sunflowerguy.com)  business is another. When you click to http://www.sunflowerguy.com/community_outreach.php (http://www.sunflowerguy.com/community_outreach.php)
the write-ups and videos of what they do, is indeed a happy loving concept for this hoax, but I find totally not believable for a profitable business. Maybe that sunflower guy on the video is Harvey himself (not his relative), who knows. ;)

Are there any other virtual businesses mentioned in this hoax which might be bogus?

Someone made a video to compare voices of casket guy to MJ as the mayor which is cool.

Oh, that someone must have been a real amateur, I fear it was me  ;).
So please forgive the creepy image quality in the some parts, it was the first (and last) video I made. :)

But nevertheless, I tried to show that the voices of the Casket Guy in this "promotion" and the Major in Ghosts are one and the same, and I think it works. Also dejavu's picture comparison between the typical head positions that I show in the beginning and the end suggests that the person is nobody else then Michael Jackson in disguise.
Unfortunately this "discovery" didn't reach a broader audience. It is such a perfect and funny part of acting!! respect/ to Michael!

I can't hear Michael's voice for the casket man. (But for the mayor I can recognize the voice).

It's hard to modify your voice and the way you talk.
That hard that we know it was Michael the Dave Dave on LKL. (at least for me).

Ah friendlikeme81, you're so modest, it is great! I sure can't do that. I'm wondering if you could do another voice comparison video of these same 2 and 2 more. Thanks so much in advance. bow/  :D

At :55, the OV guide guy is talking to the "guard" but I (and many others) think it is MJ, then the gate opens and a white arm grabs the bag. Obviously from the angle the OV guy is standing, he would have a clear view of who was taking the bag but not the camera angle/our view. I think this is a total hoax video by our man.

At 7:11 when this idiot guy phones MJ pretending to be Akon (viewer alert), MJ talks to him for a long time and says how he questions if it's really him and even asks him test questions. Then this idiot talks about MJ molesting children, and MJ quickly switches over to the same voice as the "guard", and casket guy and ghost mayor. I really think it would be interesting and an eye-opener to the world of possibilities with MJ.

I will see if I can find some time next week to do the voice comparison you're asking for. My first impression is that the guard's voice is not the same as the Casket Guy/Major and Michael's prank voice. But it is hard to tell, because both, the guard's voice and Michael's prank voice, are distorted by the transmission via speaker and telephone.
Maybe you (and some others) are right and Michael even spoke on the speaker, but I am not so sure about that.

OT: Some other thing I always found odd is that the T-shirt of the guy grabbing the bag had a logo which was blanked out afterwards.

You see what I mean? What could be the reason for that?

What a fabulous thread!  I've often thought that if there is a movie afterward (and I think there will be) it will be a comedy.  Was it a fake AKON talking to a real MJ or a real AKON talking to a real MJ both pretending to be fake?

And the casket guy!   You are right.  I have no idea why this crazy thing didn't have wider circulation.  It's hysterical whether or not it's MJ.

Finally, the Joey Skaggs thing.  I remember this trail of craziness from the beginning.  I don't think now that Joey Skaggs even exists or that the hoaxes ever happened.  However, what I found interesting is that the Final Curtain was a 2 year hoax.  By my calculation........Are you almost done playing with us, Michael?????
