Title: MJ's Home videos
Post by: loveratheart4mj on January 11, 2011, 09:49:46 PM
I was looking back at MJ's home videos while ago. In part 3 he was experimenting with lightup socks for Thriller. Well that made me think.....you know in This Is It they showed us the new outfits that Michael had chosen to wear on his next Concert tour. All the light up clothing for Billie Jean and such came to mind. There was alot of money put into that clothing line he planned to wear. Do you guys (any of you) think when he returns he will possibly go ahead and do some concerts and wear those gorgeous clothes they had planned for him???? I dunno why this popped in my mind. I was just missing him this evening and thought i would watch his home videos....miss miss miss him bad. Wish this would all end soon. Love you Mike.

a dedicated oklahoma fan
(if he comes back....if he tours again.....if he chooses London.....i have a passport....I WILL GO. I can be his fan who travels the farthest LOL to see him in person. Ahhhhh a girl can dream huh.... ;)  ;)  ;)  ;)  :)

I've had that same thought too - about BAMing on Oprah's last show but don't they tape that well in advance? If so wouldn't something like that leak out before the show aired?  Does anyone know when they would tape the September 9th show or will it be "live?"  I wonder.

I do remember the day Oprah announced she was leaving her old show behind but she told us that her last season was going to BLOW OUR MIND. That was my first thought. MJ returning on her show. But MJ was consuming my mind at the time too LOL. But thats still my thoughts.

I remember several months ago feeling really sad when I watched the bonus TII dvd with the piece about his costumes. I wanted so much to see him in that light-up Billie Jean costume! I don't think it'll ever happen but what do I know?! I watch the Geraldo 2005 interview when I need some comfort - I don't know of anyone else who has such a soothing, comforting voice (MJ, not Geraldo!) - listening to it is like having a hug from the man himself! Or I listen to Speechless. Now I feel sad too!

Hope you're feeling better today! xx

I think if he performs again it'll be in the 30th Anniversary format. I remember that he wanted Lady Gaga to be the opening act for the This Is It concerts, I imagine that other artist's would perform too during his breaks.

The days of Dangerous and HIStory era performances are over. His focus will on movies now IMHO.

Nope I don't ever see him performing on stage again.

While I believe he'll focus on other forms of art, I'll always believe the stage is his ultimate lover. She embraces him like nothing else ever can. She's in his soul.

I think that depends on the buzz he's getting from his hoax - it may replace that love of the stage.

IMO, that buzz can only last for so long. If he returns to the public, there is no more hoax. If he doesn't, he is destined to live in hiding for the remainder of his life. Like a fugitive, he'd surely tire of that lifestyle, especially as the speculations died down.

Believe me I'd love to see him on stage again, but realistically I think he has moved on to other interests and projects. I know he often said he felt most at home on the stage, but I suspect with maturity and fatherhood, he found comfort and happiness in other ways. Guess we'll just have to wait and see won't we?!

I agree, and it hurts terribly to say it now that I am an adult who can actually go if I wanted. My parents wouldn't take me.

I really would have love to see him on stage, but i also do believe he's done with tours...

The thing is that people always stick to the image they have from Michael Jackson :

Is he gonna dance like Billie Jean Performance, is he gonna "toast" like good old time, is he gonna do better than previous things etc...

I think all this expectation just struggle the artist to move on to NEW things, to CREATE. If people always put you back to your old success, you never go ahead to differents things, who could be as good, and surely better, but just you are like tied to some rope to old things you did, because they were huge.

I mean, ok Thriller or Billie Jean are great but hmmmm....that was almost 30 years ago. Even crimes cannotbe punished after 30 years

I really love MJ for his artistic creation and what he gave us, but i also believe this "singing and dancing better than anyone" had to "die" so something new comes out of the ashes.
Michael Jackson is 52, I highly doubt he planned to be back just to perform until he's obliged to moonwalk in a wheel chair. I think it's time to forget about the public image of a stage monster (in the good meaning of the word) and concentrate on what comes out of his soul, the things he is able to build, to create and orchestrate.

I think this time has come and was maybe more than needed for him. I don't think Michael Jackson can be Michael Jackson all life long.
