I am working on something and I suddenly thought of something. We have discussed before that all the stuff he initially wanted to do in the show couldn't be done at the O2 Arena, simply because there was no space. Of course we know that the shows wouldn't happen anyway, but the question remained; why O2 in London? Maybe someone already mentioned this and I simply missed it, but his speech in London in June 2002 (or '02) was ended with the phrase: The Best Is Yet To Come.
London O2 - March 2009, the only thing he really said was This Is It. In the O2 Arena in London to refer to that speech he gave back in London '02, the best is yet to come - this is it. This is the best, it starts now. Save the best for last; the final curtain call.

when I first heard that Mike would have his concert in 02 arena in London. I didn't get it, why choose a place that only takes 20.000 people at a time? No, wonder mike would have to do 50 concerts?then it didn't understand it.BUT I do now :mrgreen:

London O2 chosen to make a reference to London O2 (I promise you, the best is yet to come) to announce that This Is It, as he promised 7 years earlier.
Do I make sense?

Excellent points you bring up about 2002 and the 02. I've also come to believe that he chose London because of "V".
I need to watch those videos again before commenting but I think we can agree that the 02 was chosen for a different purpose than the concerts. Blessings.

02 is the Chemical Sign for OXUGEN - as we know Michael working So Hard to brink FRESH AIR TO THE WORLD, and London its the Capital of Old World- Europe. ;) I am not sure if there Any other the biggest ( MJ liked DRAMA) most modern stadium, most noticeble...
Also OXUGEN tanks sthashed on his closet in the mansion? Yeah !...
