He faked his death with the help of the girl he loved...and the townspeople believed her when she told them she killed him in a fight and they went away.he lived in peace.

A very good video and comparison to Michael's life. Art imitating life, or the other way around? But in the movie....after Edward's death is faked by the the girl he loves, he lives on in a life of seclusion.... still creating behind the scenes and only she knows the truth. Would Michael choose that path also, I wonder?

Ok I wad watching this movie and the end shocked me!!! After Edward fakes his death the lady who was there (she's telling the story to her grand daughter)her grand daughter said "how do you know he's still alive?" and she responds "I don't know..not for sure but I believe he is" keep this in mind that they say this and before they do you see Edward at his mansion healthy and alive.
And in this movie before Edward Is accused of a crime he didn't commit he is wearing a hat with "V" on the front. And tree was a 7 in this movie I just can't remember where.

Cool find! I've seen this movie many times pre-Michael gone and love it. The story clearly parallels Michael's life and he wanted to be the guy but Johnny Depp got the part.

Why? Because JD was a better actor? He didn't have many lines in this movie! This Is my fav. Movie!!!

you don't have to talk until your throat get dried. A good actor is a good actor because he knows how to merge into his roles. Johnny is my favourite actor.

This video was great! I forgot that I was looking at a story about Edward and thought about Michael the whole time. Yes, this story looks like it was written with Michael in mind. Excellent - I bought the movie a couple of weeks ago but haven't had time to watch it. I guess I'll need to find the time. Blessings.

I love Johnny Depp, he's a great actor. He was a fantastic Edward, but I think Mike would have been a fantastic Edward too, it's a shame he didn't get the chance. But I think that after all this they will take him more serious in movie-world, hahaha!

Tim Burton's first choice for the role of Edward was Michael Jackson. Jackson was interested but couldn't accept the role due to circumstances.

Mm, I know- JD is my mother's absolute favorite, but I watched this recently and I realized how well he would have done in this role. .

Tim Burton first wanted Michael in Johnny's place for Edward. Michael was his first option.Then I don't know what happened, it wasn't explained but I suppose it was because of the Dangerous album busy schedule and tour, Michael didn't sign the contract and Tim took his second option: Johnny. I know this. This role would have been literally like a love to Michael.I just imagine that and I get shivers.... Johnny Depp makes a gorgeous role as well. It would have been so different with Michael also. But Johnny plays brilliantly as well. I adore this movie. It's one of my favourites after Don Juan de Marco, as Johhny is my favourite actor since I was little
