Title: Fatal error code

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 1245184 bytes) in /home/michaelj/public_html/phpbb2/includes/utf/data/utf_nfkc_qc.php on line 2

When i try post a story :?: some help please :?

I had the same problem and sent a PM to Souza.  In the meantime, you can probably preview or submit shorter posts.  That worked for me.

I found that if the post contained non-english symbols, (for example: the emphasis that is placed above an "a" or "e" in a last name that is French) or if the post contained any other kind of symbol, then I would receive that error. I had to skim the posts and remove or replace these to be able to post my comment. I also found that if it was long post, I would have to select review, after writing or pasting part of the post, and then write/copy the rest and select submit.

I noticed that now that the forum is back my avatar pic is gone. When I try to reupload the same pic it gives me an error message that says it might be an attack vector? WTH? Any suggestions?

That also happened to me.
You first have to remove the other one (with red cross) before uploading the new ..  ;)

I had the same issue with a photo, I had previously upload as an avatar, deleted and then tried to upload again.
Try changing the format that the picture has been saved in, for instance if it is .gif change it to a .jpg etc.
Just try the other formats until one works (if it ever does). It did work for me.

I had the same problem a few weeks ago when I tried to change my avatar picture. This short thread helped:
