Michael Jackson Nominated For Echo Award

(21-2-2011) Michael Jackson has been nominated for a German Echo Music Award in the category International Rock/Pop Artist. The German music awards will be handed out on March 24, 2011 in Berlin. Visit the Echo Awards website to learn more.

ECHO Awards
An ECHO is a German music award granted every year by the Deutsche Phono-Akademie (an association of recording companies). Each year's winner is determined by the previous year's sales. The ECHO is the successor to the Deutscher Schallplattenpreis (German Record Award).

Jackson was awarded with an ECHO award for "Best International Artist of the Year" in 1993 [17] and inducted into ECHO Hall of Fame in 2010.

International artist is so right. MJ is the global super star and Germany has always been supportive toward Michael. Go MJ. You are so deserving to win this award.

This is a beautiful tribute! A whole new generation inspired by him.

I love MJ's sweet voice of love at the beginning. I'm sad I don't know German to know what some are saying. Germany has long been always supportive of MJ, honoring him.

Just looking at the Munich performance 1999 where the bridge fell, and MJ hurt his back.
