I don't know if anyone has posted this info about Dr. Tohme Tohme was related to Randy Phillips by marriage. I found the info on Lipstickalley a few months ago. Here's what I found.
Dr Tohme related to Randy Phillips by marriage...
According to records from ancestry.com - the world’s largest family history website - Dr Tohme and AEG Live bos Randy Phillips were related by marriage back in the 1970’s. Dr Tohme Ramez Tohme (d.o.b. 1949) married Janet Phillips (d.o.b. 1953) on 29th January 1972 in Sacremento, California. The pair subsequently divorced in May 1976 in Sacremento, California.
Marriage - State file: 7307; Reg no: 289
Divorce – State file: 664652; Dissolution case no: 716055
It has been confirmed by an insider that Dr Janet Phillips, now a Clinical Psychologist working at a practice in Torrance, is indeed Randy Phillips’s sister.
Does this provide a link between the “mysterious” Dr Tohme and AEG Live boss Randy Phillips? Did AEG live play any part in manipulating and isolating MJ? Was Dr Tohme on AEG lives payroll? The plot thickens…….
I found a couple of links

ARE YOU FOR FREAKING REAL! OMG -wow it is not like we have heard that from ANYBODY-WOW
-
Yes, this is true. Dr. Tohme Tohme was married to Randy Phillips sister. This is too weird. What is going on? I will try to find more info.
-
People on other MJ communities have been talking about the connection between Tohme and Phillips for months. It's hard to find much more information other than that they were related by that marriage.
-
I didn't know about the marrige, but I knew Jermaine brought Thome to Michael and Thome brought AEG, yes. Wasn't Thome who bought Neverland? He was trying to recover his investment....
-
yup already heard about that "related by marriage"
what i found strange is an interview with Randy Philips, not in a magazine but on tape,
where he's talking about how the TII concerts came about. He was saying that he met with MJ in a hotel somewhere to discuss everything and the interviewer asks if it was just the ttwo of them and Randy says no, there was also a gentleman present by the name of Thome
now i'm not saying he should have said my former brother in law was there too but
i did get the feeling he used the term a gentleman as if to distance himself from Thome,
to make it seem he did'nt know him prior to meeting him there on that day...
Also if i remember correctly was'nt Martin Bashits brother someones chauffeur?I can't remember if it was Randy Philips driver or someone elses though, i'll need to look that up

Tohme didn't buy Neveralnd. Colony Capital did in 2008...though Tohme is a "business associate" of Colony Capital.

Thome Thome is JERMAINE JACKSONS WIFE's brother... its true!
-
and the plot thickens...Dr Tohme Tohme (not a real doctor) was married to Randy Phillips' sister (who is a doctor). Dr Tohme Tohme's sister is now married to Jermaine Jackson. Dr Tohme Tohme was supposed to have been fired by Michael as his business manager (even though Michael had his business card in his bathroom) and I think he was the one with Jermaine at the hospital when Michael's passing was announced, right?

I read that Martin Bashir's brother was Tommy Mottola's Chaauffeur. But I couldn't find more information on Bashir's brother.

Something interesting about Randy Phillips...
I was reading an article dated 2/9/2009. He said he once managed Lionel Richie (a close friend to Michael). It's really of no relevance, just a small world, I guess. However, wasn't Michael in talks with AEG in January about his concerts? If so, it doesn't sound like Randy had much confidence in Michael's ability to draw a crowd. The article is rather interesting - they are a shrewd bunch.
http://www.forbes.com/2009/02/09/aeg-li ... 9_aeg.html (http://www.forbes.com/2009/02/09/aeg-live-nation-ticketmaster-business-media-0209_aeg.html)
At an investor conference in January, Live Nation announced that they lost about 4% on tickets, made about 15% of their revenues on ticket fees, about 40% on ancillaries, about 20% on sponsorships and about 20% on other areas. Does AEG Live have a similar revenue breakdown?
We don't lose money on anything. We're a business. We're not a publicly traded company; we're not about press releases or manipulating the stock price. We're about making money.
So you don't see tickets as loss-leaders?
The two words "loss leader" did not exist in my handbook when I took this job.
Then what are the challenges for the next five to 10 years?
In 2009 and 2010, our biggest challenge is the economy. I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop. I put two tours on this year--Britney Spears and Taylor Swift--and they both blew out. However, at some point this massive unemployment is going to bite us. I think it's going to happen around June or July, when we start to put tickets on sale for the summer. We're trying to determine what level of staffing and overhead we need for a decreased business model. That's the biggest short-term challenge.

I did read this months ago (Tohme and Phillips) but forgot about it - it was posted on the old forum but, again, no-one really went with it.

I've heard about it, but I haven't seen any proof. Do you have a link or something?

Ive heard it on the grapevine.. Jermaine Jacksons wife is a bit shady in herself, very little info on her except she is of Afghan origin. But the word is that Thome Thome is Jermaines brother-in-law.
