Dr. Conrad Murray can chill til September -- his trial for Michael Jackson's death just got pushed back.

Judge Michael Pastor announced the postponement this morning in the manslaughter trial -- opening statements were set to begin next week.
Murray's attorneys asked for the delay so they could prepare for new witnesses the prosecution plans to call.

The long-awaited trial of the doctor charged in Michael Jackson's drug death was delayed Monday for four months, with a judge saying defense lawyers needed additional preparation time to effectively represent their client.
Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor said he was more concerned with justice for Dr. Conrad Murray than with the speed of the proceedings.
Murray, who had insisted on a speedy trial, waived that right and agreed to start jury selection anew on Sept. 8. Lawyers estimated opening statements would begin Sept. 20.
Attorneys for Murray filed a motion Sunday complaining about the last-minute addition of expert witnesses to the prosecution case and saying they needed at least two weeks to find experts of their own and have them prepare reports.
They also are trying to get raw footage from Jackson's posthumous concert movie, "This Is It." Prosecutors plan to use clips to show Jackson was in good health just before he died.
Pastor said he did not think two weeks was sufficient for the defense to accomplish its goals
So the judge gave them more time..way beyond the 2 weeks they ask for. Looks like our team is needing more time for "their witnesses" :).
Prospective jurors who filled out questionnaires and were to return to court Tuesday will be thanked and told their services are no longer needed, the judge said.
Couldn't find jurors, then the ones they DID find, they now let go!!
"The court is very mindful of judicial efficiency and the expense that has occurred in this case," Pastor said. "But first and foremost is justice ... The continuance in this case is absolutely essential."

Pastor said he didn't like the idea of picking a new jury but said it was "preferable to having this continuing drama."

Deputy District Attorney David Walgren said he had no objection to a delay. He had been urging a later start date all along.
Murray has pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter. He is accused of negligence in administering the hospital anesthetic propofol to Jackson in his home. The superstar singer died June 25, 2009, of an overdose of propofol coupled with other sedatives.
The Murray defense has posed the theory that Jackson, who was desperate for sleep, swallowed more propofol than the doctor gave him. The drug normally is administered intravenously.
The prosecution presented new reports last week from two experts who say it's impossible to overdose by taking the drug orally because it would not be absorbed into the intestines.
Murray, who had been adamant about wanting a trial within 60 days of his preliminary hearing, was asked by the judge if he was giving up that right to allow his lawyers to effectively represent him.
"Yes," Murray said. "I believe it's in the best interest of all parties."
And we can just now guess who all his interested parties are!!
"But do you feel it is in your best interest?" asked the judge.
"Yes," said the defendant.
Pastor said he planned to keep the case "on a short leash" and set a progress hearing on June 3.

michael is NOT coming back in July if the trail is pushed September and i wouldn't be surprised if he never came back, and i dont believe he will ever come back. Delaying trails are normal it happens all the time, but this trail you hoax believers are assuming is fake so how come they're delaying the trail?

What if they postponing the trial cause it never meant to be happen.....It seems quite that, how much time did they need to accuse Murray in the first place? More than a year, if i remember right, but please help me out if i'm wrong here. And since the beginning he plays the totally innnocent guy, walking around and even working freely and happily.... I'm looking forward to this July or summer anyway, not too much cause it can happen nothing on Earth again....Then we have to wait September out and who knows how much more so..... confused/

But it's not like WE ARE THE REASON THE TRIAL WAS DELAYED, but i think there is a little something to it.I remember TS saying somewhere that during trial he will not be bothering us with all his questions and theories to debunk, because we'll have much important things to follow and talk about. And when today he gave us a new puzzle to solve "The Sting" even though we didn't have any solid conclusions on previous levels, I thought that something is wrong. Because trial was supposed to be on May 9th, in less than a week, sure it's not enough time to solve all these unanswered questions of his. And when i saw the delay of trial, i was not even a little bit surprised, i knew that something was going to happen. suspicious// It sounds VERY CRAZY even in my own head, but that was my first thought.

DAMN! crash/ I do believe that there will be a trial and I do not believe he will be coming back with the CDS in 2012. Are we ever going to see him again? I don't know anything any more. All I know is, this is my last year with the hoax and then I'm done.

The judge told the jurors they finally did get that they were not needed. He then said new jury selection will begin I think, Sept. 8th.
Again. It will be even harder by that time to get a jury!! So be prepared for them to say they can't seat a jury.
Thus, no trial.

There will be no trial. Think of it this way......Seems like only the fans are paying attention to
all of this court stuff right?? I mean Its not even being shown on major news stations. My point is
that now that they know that the fans are figuring this out, why should they continue playing these
silly court games??? They know he is alive. We know he is alive.

I tend to agree. I think that, as it being a sting...why go through all that.
But, then, how to reveal this as a sting? It would have to come out "somehow". Wouldn't a court scene be a good way? Especially if this was rooted in the court system?
Can't you see it happening...a prosecution of someone tried for murder...and during the proceedings, it's slowly revealed..Michael was NOT a drug addict...Michael was NOT broke...Michael was NOT gay or a pedophile...on and on...
and....that there WAS a conspiracy to "harm" (as in now, commit homicide) a human, being, Michael. Fraudulently, by the Santa Barbara court system. The on going trial would be a metaphor to the previous and would exonerate Michael and place and open the blame on the SB system. But, also showing corruption even further, thus the need for the FBI.
But, that would be GREAT and GRAND and command attention in the world, and get eyes onto why Michael did this. And why the need to hoax at all.
But, I wonder...if they will be able to even find an impartial jury..if it will happen, if all this can be accomplished without the court. Will they just release a press conference.."we now interrupt your program"?

Ooh !! I think you said the magic words here "the corrupt courst system is in action" and because this is MJ, the prosecution is getting whatever they want and the Judge allows it. So this delay is not Michael's plan, it's this stinking system of things, but MJ the genius knew this would happen. A dead MJ is not enough and their dark and evil minds have this burning desire to crucify his name or just not take a manslaughter charge too seriously.

I am guessing it's September because it's the 10th Anniversary of Sept 11th. I am not sure if there's any connection but that was my first thought when I saw September. The media has been gearing up for this 10th anniversary for months with all these stories on airplane mishaps and then Osama is dead or "dead" or never existed (that's another story) and then Obama visits ground zero. It just seems like a build up to something but I am not sure what. I do find it interesting that Michael had his 30th Anniversary show at Madison Square Garden around 9/11 and now the trial case is being pushed back around 9/11. If Prince knew about 9/11 before that day, then I'm sure MJ probably knew and possibly had that show to tried to stop it through his show by raising consciousness with more love. Perhaps, he's trying to do the same with this? I am not sure how he could pull that off but that's my guess. I could be totally wrong but that's my thoughts on this.

The case has been delayed after Murray requested more time for his legal team to prepare for the new prosecution witnesses that will be called to testify. Due to the delay, Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor will be dismissing prospective jurors until the trial starts in September.
Murray has pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter in the June 2009 death of the King of Pop. The prosecution claims that Murray administered a lethal dose of the drug propofol to the singer and then attempted to cover up the overdose.
Murray's team, however, maintains that the singer self-administered the overdose of the drug when Murray left the room.

(RTTNews) - Dr. Conrad Murray's manslaughter trial for the death of Michael Jackson will be delayed until September.
The case has been delayed after Murray requested more time for his legal team to prepare for the new prosecution witnesses that will be called to testify. Due to the delay, Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor will be dismissing prospective jurors until the trial starts in September.
Murray has pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter in the June 2009 death of the King of Pop. The prosecution claims that Murray administered a lethal dose of the drug propofol to the singer and then attempted to cover up the overdose.
Murray's team, however, maintains that the singer self-administered the overdose of the drug when Murray left the room.
