Hi all,
I just heard on the news here in LA that Michael's family is preparing for a benefit concert! They said the family included his mother, the brothers and Latoya. They did say what the concert was to benefit but I was so caught off guard that I don't remember what it would benefit. They did not give a date. They may have mentioned Janet but as I said I was so caught off guard that I don't remember hearing her name.
And this is why I was caught off guard, they said that the family promises that it will be "A Thriller of An Event!!! afraid/
I am getting ready for work now and if I hear any more I will post it later today. It's 7:20 a.m. LA time. Please those of you here in the states keep an ear open and post please! Thank You!

Update!
Here is a link to a page that doesn't say much more than already said. It does say "The concert, which has been called a “thriller of a show” in a press release from the Jackson family, will benefit charities in both the U.S. and U.K. and more details will be revealed in a press conference in Los Angeles on Monday." That next week as the article is dated with today's date.

The alleged tribute would be fake because MJ isn't dead. A fake tribute to a fake death is not a fraud. I bet it never happens in any case.

I would be more worried if they aall agreed, and the tribute went ahead.
Otherwise, we would presume he was really dead. IMO.

But the announcement exposed a major rift among members of the Jackson family, especially with Jackson brothers Jermaine and Randy, who did not attend the news conference. They objected to the show because it's scheduled to happen during the criminal trial of the doctor accused in Michael Jackson's death.
"We want to make clear that this does not reflect the position of the entire family," the two brothers said in a joint statement. "While we wholeheartedly support the spirit of a tribute that honors our brother, we find it impossible to support an event that is due to take place during the criminal trial surrounding Michael's death," they said.
While the head of the British company promoting the show, Global Events Live, hinted it could include a Jackson brothers reunion, the statement from Jermaine and Randy Jackson on Monday indicated that would not happen.
"In light of this, we feel it is inappropriate to be involved with such an ill-timed event and its promoter, Global Live," Randy and Jermaine Jackson said.
Their statement said the idea of the October concert was presented to the entire family in April "as an idea already in its advanced stages." The decision to go ahead with it "disrespects opinions and wishes expressed in the strongest terms" by some members of the Jackson family, they said.
La Toya Jackson said the "tribute will be something that's spectacular" and is "far, far, well overdue.'
The Jacksons' mother called it "a show fit for a king,"

Executors for the late pop singer's estate were unaware of the planned tribute, estate spokesman Jim Bates told CNN.
"The estate has not been contacted and is not involved with Global Live Events in the UK tribute concert announced today," he said.
The show will "feature the world's most amazing music performers," according to the head of British promoter Global Live. The roster will be revealed online one act at a time over the next two weeks, starting Tuesday, Chris Hunt said. All profits from the show would go to several U.S. and British charities, including a cancer group created by the prince of Wales, Hunt said.
The October 8 show, in the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff, Wales, would be at least four hours long, Hunt said. The venue will seat up to 75,000 people, he said.
"I know my brother would be very, very proud to see all the artists that he admired and respected so much coming together for this event," Tito Jackson said.
Hunt presented the Jackson family with a $100,000 check that will go to a trust fund for Michael Jackson's three children, which they can access when they turn 21. The children, Katherine Jackson and unidentified charities are the sole beneficiaries of Jackson's wealthy estate.

Between the concert and the trail, I would cast my vote that neither one of them will occur on October 8th. If I remember right, Anna Nicole Smith's trial of her suppliers began 3 years after her death (2007) in August 2010, and she was actually dead! Once again we are in a wait and see mode!
I take my hat off to the Jackson clan!! They are all playing their roles to the tee! Oscars for all of you!! ;D

No one said the press conference didn't happen. I said it was fake... and it may well be... as in, it really did take place, but it's to announce something they know will never happen and it only exists to create clues and controversy. There will be no tribute, in my opinion; ultimately it will be canceled for some reason or another... probably due to copyright claim by the estate... because this is part of the script. This is all for show and dramatic effect. So yes... I believe it was a fake press conference.

And the tag lines says, "Just when you thought that was it" lines up very well with Jermaine's statement at the This Is It premiere, "But this is not really it!" Loving it!

Fiji water contains fluoride (=poison) and silica (=abrasive) plus it's environmentally unfriendly because it contains twice the amount of plastic per bottle than other bottled waters, plus to make 1 bottle, 7 times the amount of water is used of what is actually bottled. I don't see how this would be a choice of the Jacksons, so it must be a reference to Barnum/Fiji Mermaid.

Fiji water contains fluoride (=poison) and silica (=abrasive) plus it's environmentally unfriendly because it contains twice the amount of plastic per bottle than other bottled waters, plus to make 1 bottle, 7 times the amount of water is used of what is actually bottled. I don't see how this would be a choice of the Jacksons, so it must be a reference to Barnum/Fiji Mermaid.

According to La Toya's question and answer today, she is the one who came up with Michael's style of old period jackets with crests and rhinestones so I would assume that she would be the one who came up with the leaf patterns as well?

That tribute video is very odd - the clips they chose to use, etc.
The other thing that I think about is the location. Yes, Cardiff with the connection to the greatest hoax, etc. But, Wales also has a connection to Princess Diana. Wales and Princess Diana make me think of the statue of Michael that was erected outside of that stadium a few months ago. Another connection to the great hoax (creating a replica?)...I mean, that statue was not very realistic to what Michael looks like and we were questioning why it was put up.
The Jacket is too much to ignore. I guess we should look at what TS said again about the leaf...

TS mentioned that the location and timing of the tribute is not a coincidence. Michael's timing has never been less than perfect. One thing that strikes me is that the annual Draconid meteor shower will occur on Oct. 8. It's supposed to generate over 750 shooting stars and is predicted to be the first major outburst since 1998 and the last until 2032. The easiest place to watch it will be in Europe. Seems it just might look like the Fourth of July over the Millennium Stadium that night.
