It. Was. Awesome ... at least that's what EVERYBODY seems to be saying about the very first performance of the new Michael Jackson Cirque du Soleil show -- which kicked off in Montreal last night.
Several members of the Jackson family reportedly looked on ... along with more than 13,000 screaming fans ... as the Cirque people danced, contorted and acrobatted through tons of MJ's greatest hits.
The tour is set to roll through 47 cities -- before setting up shop in Vegas.

I am hoping to buy tickets for my whole family to go in December when it comes here. My grandkids love Michael, as do I, so it should be a great time!!
I was a little surprised by the number they posted...13,000 fans. Is that how many was at the first show? Doesn't that sound like a low number - or is it just me? When I attended a baseball game recently there were over 40,000 in attendance. Is the venue that this premiered at smaller? I'm just curious...

The Bell Centre in Montreal seating capacity is 15,000 for concerts. It is possible that CDS needed further space and further reduced the seating capacity.

Thank you so much! I'm sure this isn't the biggest venue in Montreal is it? It will be interesting to see if this is the normal size for shows or if some will be bigger? It sounds like a nice size as people won't be too far away to actually see the show.
