Title: Photobucket problems--help?
Post by: MJonmind on November 28, 2011, 04:33:36 AM

Does anybody know how I can fix this problem I'm having with my photobucket account?

A couple of days ago suddenly ALL pictures that I put on the forum have switched to this sign that says:

Upgrade to pro today
Bandwidth exceeded
photobucket

I tried deleting about 40 pics from my account, but it still puts that sign everywhere I put pics on any of my threads.

Help, please?   /overreacting/

I believe I've found the answer....

Looks like you may have to delete the photos taking up the most bandwidth... :S

Thanks for responding SpeedDemon1987!

My stats tells me its not the amount of pics I have stored, but rather its the usage on sites (mostly all this one) probably my signature pic, which I took off.  It's telling me also to clear browser cache. I don't understand the phrase.  If I clear it all, doesn't that mean ALL pictures that I've ever posted on this site will be removed?  I don't want that.  It also tells me that on the same day as I register, each month the band width adjusts with the usage. Does that mean if I wait till then, my pics here will be restored.  Now I'm scared to put anymore pics up.  Maybe that's why so few people on the forum have signature pics. I took mine off.  I'm so clueless with understanding the whys of these things.

Has anyone else experienced this?

If anyone has more info to help, I'd appreciate it.

Depending what kind of browser you use, cache cleaning may differ, but generally you should have the option in your top menu bar to clear cache

I am using Firefox (mac version), in my case it is in preferences ----> advanced ----> clear now (button close to info on how much storage is used)

In addition, some antivirus programs have the function to clear your cache and cookies, but I am not sure what software you use.

I hope it helps.

Thanks ForstAMoon.  I think I use Windows for software.  geek/  I'm sorry I'm so clueless.
I don't want to "clear cache" if it means all my pics on this site will be removed, so I guess I'll wait till next month when Photobucket reviews my status again.

I guess it's type only for now for me unless it's a pic from online.
