Title: Michael's second grave. What does it mean?
Post by: TheFosterKid on July 21, 2014, 09:54:54 PM
Michael Jackson, born Aug 29 1958, died June 25, 2009 has two graves.

1. Forest Lawn
2. Woodlawn Cemetery, Michigan

Wikipedia says the Michigan one is a Cenotaph but has the hoax community come up with any theories about it?

It's not really a grave; "someone" (who could that be, eh? ha ha )historically minded, possibly formerly affiliated with Motown wanted a memorial nearby where it started (with Motown). The sunflowers and especially the Halloween garland is a  ;) whimsical touch on the tombstone, with the jacko-lanterns and ghosts...but apparently two caskets below are filled with tokens of love, left by fans in Michigan at the old Motown address property, which no one knew what to do with. Remember hearing about those? I thought they were donated to some children, but maybe just the ones which were stuffed animals. There were LOTS. Why they only buried two coffins of them is, I think, purposefully intriguing. I can think of a couple of songs' lyrics about 'telling (someone, something) twice'.... :icon_e_surprised:  :icon_eek:

I tried to copy a photo of the stone and inscription (Maybe someone else can), but it crashed on me and I can't reload it! Everybody looking at once, there?   :affraid:  :Michael_Jackson_dancing_smile

Rosa Parks is interred there, btw.

Also interesting that the cemetery is across from the old FAIR GROUNDS...hmmm WHAT could that mean?????? I can't speak for the Hoax community. What are YOU thinking it means? More?

No, I don't think we've discussed it before, this is the first I've heard of it.

EDIT: Apparently we have! See RK's post below. (Thanks RK)

Sorry, tried to post some pics, but it doesn't work for me either (they show up in the 'Quick Reply' box, but not when I actually post it)

It got a mention or two in the early days. Here is one example from the archives on a thread about Liz Taylor and where she was buried. Sorry I don't have time to hunt out more at present.

Yeah! This picture is the one with the Halloween garland, too. Thank you for finding it, RK,  :icon_e_biggrin: that's it!

@Curls, wow, I didn't imagine all of this would still be out there! I think I saw just a quick piece on the nightly news. Good sleuthing, Curls!  :beerchug:
