I just found back a video with an interview with Tyler Perry.
He tells Janet was on the movieset when the news came in that Michael was rushed to the hospital.

Well we all saw the interview with Janet where she told she was in New York at her house when she heard the news.
This is really crazy.
Why did she lie about where she was?
I can't imagine Tyler Perry lied about it.

IMHO, it's not that she doesn't really care. Of all the siblings, I believe he was closest to Janet. I believe they love each other very much and that he trusted her. It's also my opinion that she would do anything to protect Michael. I think it's all part of the bigger picture. All the siblings have changed their stories about that day, it's to add to the confusion.

I know Tyler Perry wouldn't lie about Janet being on the set when her brother passed away. Janet's stories do contradict each other. She was acting strange during that interview I'm sorry. Apologizing for laughing during the interview due to her pain. I'm sorry but when I've mourned someone's death or seen someone really sick that I care about I don't laugh about it because there's nothing funny about it. I go into serious mode. I think she was laughing cause she know something and she felt uncomfortable during the interview. I think she would do anything to protect her brother too. If she is covering for him I wouldn't blame her or be mad because I would do the same for my family if they were in danger or harming themselves. If Micheal did hoax his death I would not be mad because I think that's the only way he could really get help if he needed it.

It is all of the inconsistencies that keep me believing that MJ is alive.
If you look back, Janet also did an interview with Harpers Bizarre Magazing. In that article it states that she was on set when she heard of the news of MJ.....here is the article.

I know exactly where I was when I heard about MJ....getting my nails done in a salon and someone announced that "Michael Jackson died"....I ran out of the salon and started calling people that I knew. I drove home at a million miles an hour to see the coverage! All of these "stories" that people have been telling about there whereabouts, what happened on the day, change all of the time and that is why I WILL NEVER BELIEVE MJ IS REALLY GONE.

It's indeed so confusing.
I just don't understand why she lied about this.
The only logical explanation I can think of is that this must be a clue for the fans that he's alive. Otherwise it's to crazy for words, because I'm sure she knows where she was at that moment, she's not 80 ore 90 years old ... ;)
She also doens't ware black all the time as she promised to do for 1 year while she is mourning.
So Janet is simply telling lies and I think they are ment as clues.
I dont think she doens't care about Michael, not at all.
Michael please come back today, it's my birthday, so come on ... :D
These little things make me still believe he's alive, more than the big stories like NWO for instance.

There's no way she would not remember exactly where she was, no matter how emotionally distraught she was. I remember exactly where I was when those close to me have passed on. For some it's been over 20 years and I still remember. I wasn't a big follower of MJ's before his death but I can tell you exactly where I was, what I was doing, my thoughts, and what I did when I got the news via CNN Breaking News on my email. I also Remember Elvis' death vividly and Princess Diana's. No - either Janet was confused by the question or there is more to this story. I also found LaToya's comments disturbing. She said she pulled over and begged someone to take her to the hospital because she was too weak to drive herself. I don't know -if it were me, I'd waste no time getting to Michael's side. But, that's just me and we deal with tragedy differently.

Exactly, she couldn't be in two places at one time. It's not like Atlanta and New York are a few miles away from each other. Either she was in New York Or Atlanta. So there's no way she could have been home and gone to the set that fast.

May I ask where you read or heard that Janet heard the news in the morning? I question how she would have heard the news in the morning since she was on the east coast, 3 hours ahead of California. It's my understanding that she heard the news sometime after Michael had been taken to the hospital, which was around 1pm, pacific standard time. Which would mean that it was 4pm on the east coast. Long after the morning hours.

Maybe she only meant the state NY, not the city. So Atlanta in NY.
But it doesn't fit that she heard it in the morning.

It's definitely strange that her story keeps changing....If I can remember where i was, I KNOW she should remember...I was at work when my coworker who had just clocked out and left called and told us that it's all over the news that MJ had passed....i remember my heart sinking so fast....

Because when you lie it's hard to remember who you told what to and what you told them.

I remember where I was when the news of Princess Di broke. When my grandmother died. How could she make a mistake about her brother who she was once close to? Because she's covering someone or something. It's obvious they all are. You can tell from their hesitation, the slightest hint of trepidation when they are talking (especially Marlon, Tito). Jermain is better at acting. So is LaToya. Joe Jackson is a bit confused about the whole thing.

Didn't we discuss lying on the post about Why Did Michael Lie? Everybody lies and Janet is no respect of persons. Just think about it for moment. Does it sound better to say that you were in your NY apartment and just felt something strange but just didn't know what rather than say you were on a movie set somewhere? I am sure she does care a great deal about MJ. But let's face it MJ had banned his family away from him in his last days before he exited. He didn't want much to do with them beyond the little he did. I just believe that since 2005 MJ was coming into knowing his true self. MJ and Janet were close in the early years. It's normal for siblings to grow apart as they get older. Janet was doing on her thing. After two failed marriages she resolved to shacking with Jermaine Dupree. I am not so sure that set well with MJ. Afterall, their family's faith base was Jehovah Witness. Keep the Faith!
