At the same day you could see on the official homepage of lax airport that all flights at this time were cancelled!!!
There were also posts in the forum!

The MJ AIR is how the concert would end each night. The 3d plane would come into view, the dancers would walk up a flight of stairs that were on the stage and enter the planes door(a door was incorporated on the stage to make it seem as though they were going in the plane) followed my mj who was to wave goodbye to his audience. The door would shut and the 3d plane would be shown taxi-ing down the run way where it eventually takes off over the crowd. It would have been so cool!
