On the Wendy Williams show one of her hot topics today was the remake of We are the World song. There were over a hundred people involved with the recording but none of the original members are singing in the remake. She said that Barbara Streisand was singing Diana Ross part. They also have a weird line up of people singing in the song even actors like Vince Vaughn and Jeff Bridges? :?: Also rappers involved like LL Cool J and Kanye West and Mr. Bently who's known for holding diddy's umbrella what? :lol: This reminds me of Liberian girl video with all the different types of hollywood stars in it. She said they asked Lady Gaga to sing in the song and she refused to be a part of it. Wow we have discussed Lady Gaga in relation to MJ on here before. Also another interesting fact the video is going to premiere at some event in Vancouver and guess what it's gonna be in 3D. We all know MJ was really into the 3D stuff.

As much as people want to connect MJ to Gaga...I dont like her, but in her defense I may dare to believe that maybe:
1. she was busy
2. she think it was unnecessary to remake the song if it was for helping Haiti...why not promote the original song for Haiti's benefit?
3. She believes they are butchering a beautiful legacy, especially by not adding the original MJ vocals in it...
I really dont know there could be many reasons...I've been asking myself, also

they are butchering it lol i dont really find any of the artists they chose can live up to that song, they should have just stuck with the old ne it has twice the better artists on it singing, and you cant remaake a michael jackson classic , you cant remake any of his music, thats whats so special about it, is that the affect is so much greater when the original is played because michael messages were always so powerful, so how can you remake his songs, the message wont be the same when his songs are remade, its like listenning to someone else try and sing his songs its never going to have the affectt the original had :(

Amen, Doctor! Yeah, why mess with perfection! This remaking has upset me very much this week. There is no We Are The World without my beloved MJ! I love the original the way it is! I am tired of people are remaking old school things because they have run out of ideas! :x

Okay good.... I'm not the only one that feels that this song will be messed up somehow.
It will be like when those contestants on American Idol try and sing Michael's songs... it doesn't work, it sounds horrible, like shut my tv off horrible. I don't like this idea at all.

Yeah I saw a clip of the new version today. They are not doing justice to that song. People need to leave the classics alone. That's fine if all these singers want to do a song for Haiti but why can't they come up with something new and leave MJ's song alone. Like Kirk Franklin he made a beautiful song with other artists as a tribute to Haiti. If they wanted the use this song they should have just remastered the old version and re released it. That's my opinion. The old version would probably generate more money too.
