Title: American Idol
Post by: OneLove on February 24, 2010, 10:53:11 PM
Tonight on American Idol, this contestant Jermaine Sellers sang, and then at the end Ryan asked him if he's forgiven Michael or something like that. He was like 'what?!' Then the pianist, i think went on the stage. Jermaine was like 'oh i thought you meant man in the mirror.' He sang MITM at the auditions and had a fallout with the pianist Michael.
Anyway, just the MJ moment of the day.

After that statement they made a point of making that everyone knew "which Michael" they were referring to. I thought that was a little overboard on their part.

Well since they believe he's gone, it shouldn't have been much of a mystery. For us, it would have been possible! except i doubt that would be the way he reveals.

  I noticed it too and loved the look of   on his face when Ryan asked that....it felt like time stopped for a few seconds (which of course means I am waaaayyy to involved in the hoax!)   This might sound strange but I really like Jermaine Sellers...he sorta reminds me of Michael when he was young.  Not sure why....oh, and the fact that his name is "Jermaine".....way too many MJ connections in that American Idol moment

I found it strange
1) The way they kept saying THIS IS IT during the show especially the contestant who wrote it in huge letters on her writing pad and they focused on it.
2) Who gave them the rights to use Man In The Mirror - someone would have had to clear it - and what a big advertisement for the song when at least a third of the boys sang it during hollywood week.
3) Who gave them the rights to the Beatles songs in the live round. Even that MJ or the estate would have had to sanction.

The estate is definitely on a roll.

In the UK, there is an advert using All You Need is Love - I thought about MJ having to give permission to use that song (although it wasn't being sung by the Beatles).

Yesterday i was shopping and i bought this book called Michael Jackson Man in the Mirror. It was only 12.99! It's beautiful, a lot of pictures. I haven't read it yet but, it was made after June 25, because it has a rehearsal picture in it. Also, the O2. Can't wait to read it!

I have the new Michael Jackson Man In The Mirror by Tim Hill and the pics are awesome. Even the O2 pics - large high quality - and they are real MJ - no skin glove.
