yea they say that it wasnt done but when they show how the number would have looked with the red smoke from the stage, they do show mike on the stage in the silver jacket..... so it must have been done.

It was definitely rehearsed, as fans who were outside during rehearsals heard him practising it. There were youtube videos of them stood outside listening to it and u can clearly hear him singing it. So god knows why Kenny says they never got to rehearse it?!

Well, he didnt have time to rehearse all of them, did he? Rehearsals cut short, remember? Thats why there is only one piece of footage for Billie Jean.
Ive never seen the "Plane Exit" thing before.. how odd! :shock:
Also.. in regards to the neck scars... could it be possible that MJ was covering them with make up? Karen Faye would know the answer to that one... :?
This is my fave pic from TII. I know he looks thin in this pic, but there is something about his eyes in this pic that i love.. and the pose with the head tilted back looks so bad boy, like he is thugging it up!!

no, no because he's telling the story where the bed stands on the stage and the "dirty diana" is supposed to be in the bed. And he ( Michael Bearden) asked Michael where he's supposed to be then. and Michael answered "Where do you think I'm supposed to be? I'll be in bed :D" and so on. So Michael was there rehearsing Dirty Diana. But Dirty Diana was supposed to be rehearsed on June 25th....so how could it be possible? ;)

to me it looks like Orianthi...but it is fact, that dirty diana was rehearsed, although someone said that DD was supposed to be rehearsed at June 25th ( was it Kenny in an interview?)

hey guys i spotted something interesting while i was watching my TII DVD. Everything red pants Michael was on the screen he seemed to be a using autocue. anyone else think thats odd? Maybe Michael just needed reminding of his lyrics. Apologies if this has already been discussed. x

From what i have seen- yes but, i could be wrong. I think i need to analyze my TII DVD more.

Of course Micahel would need lyric assistance. He was going to perform almost 20 songs, most artists use those promoters, you just don't see them due to camera angle.

I'm not sure whether the presence of the autocue (teleprompter) means that doubles where used in TII. I think it's an interesting observation and I'm surprised nobody noticed it (if so -sorry). It's interesting that Kenny decided to put this shot in the film because we can blatantly see the autocue - there was an another camera pointed at Michael (from the front) why not use the shots from this angle?

The footage is chopped up between earlier rehearsal footage and later rehearsal footage so just because he isn't looking down in one clip and kinds looks down an another clip doesn't mean it is a double. There is NO PROOF that there are doubles in the movie. No matter how many screen shots someone can take showing him at different angles looking different, there is no proof.
It was Michael's show, his master piece, i doubt he would get a bunch of doubles to do something he was still way capable of doing.

Well in the DVD they did mention that they were going to use a Double for the Live Performance, But only for Dirty Diana, at the end, so that Mike could get changed and Begin Beat It.
They probably asked Navi to do this as he is the only Good MJ Impersonator in the UK, but Navi looks wise, is more like mike in the early 90's, but the audience wouldnt be able to see his face as the Bed would be in "Flames"
He used doubles before but only for this Reason... he Done it in Dangerous At the End of Thriller to get Ready and in Place for Beat It

If anyone bothered to watch the special features it will show you and tell you that MJ had a stunt double for Smooth Criminal. They didn't want Michael jumping out of the window.
The picture where Michael is looking at the stage, the circled person is one of the dancers, the one with the hair covering one eye. He is wearing the same outfit during The Way You Make Me Feel.
During the Thriller segment filming, Michael is right there with the red jacket (which i want btw) and not anywhere else. Micheal was the one one performing in This Is It. It was his masterpiece. Doubles would have been used live on the stage during the actual concert for Transitions and long shots where you wouldn't really see Michael's face.
If anyone is wondering why they filmed the rehearsals, it says so in the beginning of the movie, for Michael's personal collection. Look on Youtube and you will find videos of Michael rehearsing for the Bad, Dangerous and there are a couple of videos from the HIStory tour.

No it doesn't. If people remember correctly, the media reported that Joe Jackson said that there were doubles in the movie. You just can't choose what the media says and believe one thing while outcasting the others.
I guess since there were doubles used in the HIStory tour, that is all apart of the hoax too? Many artist used doubles in their concerts, they used them to fill time while in between sets to change and to catch their breath a bit, it is nothing new.

Whats Autocue?
Auto cue is what artist use while rehearsing to remember the lyrics to the songs. Notice Michael doesn't sing most of the songs in their entirety, he sings a verse, the chorus and then the bridge to the songs. It helps with putting the lyrics on monitor during the songs since beats are changed and parts of the song are left out. A lot of artist use it so they don't forget.
