Or should i say the HOAX project ??!!
Back in 2003 MJ did an interview with Geraldo ... at first when i heard the news that MJ is dead i thought immediately of this interview ... to be specific i thought of this particular part (00:24 - 1:00 ) :

Mj was talking mysteriously about a project that will take the medium to a new place !!
not the cinema not the music not tv .... but the whole medium(instrument, method,artistic technique)... !!!
Now ... if we ask ourself what could be that big ??
Movies ?
naaaaah !!
music videos ?? albums ???
I dont think so !!!
Then what could be the project that MJ was talking about ??
Well .. There is no direct answer to that questions but let me put it this way :
if u managed to put all what we have seen since 25-2-2009 up until now and what we will see in the future in one frame then we will be able to have a gleams about what could be the answer !!!
At that time of his life he knew that he must make something huge ... something that have the ability to impact the whole world .. MJ is not just another great artist ... he is by far the greatest ... his music reach the world literally ....humankind will never see anything like this ever agian...we are so blessed to wetness that magnificent creature ... i feel so sorry for future generations that will not live at his time ... i am from saudi arabia .. MJ is huge out here and all over the middle east ... we love him and respect him like no other artist ...alot of people here dont even heard of Elvis presley or the Beatles ... dont know who is Mdonna & lady gaga (no disrespect i have heard of them 8-) ) but we all know MJ very well ... there are people here who dance and sing on his music and they dont even know what is he saying .... thats what i call magic .
Any one who think that i am going to far on this dont know what Mj really means to us ... what kind of impact he has done to the world .... we all here think that this is a man who change the world like no other artist .
There for I think the project should be very powerful and beyond any imagination ... some thing the world have never seen before ... "documentaries..... movies .....music videos .... live shows" .... all of these are in the michael jackson project that will change the entertainment world forever ... taking the medium" to a new place !!
There is no other answer i could come up with other than that .

Completely agree. When you look at all the billing for TII the concert series and then later TII the movie, all the advertising makes more sense when applied as the hoax rather then an entertainment production.

Thank you. Such a great post. Agree with you. Michael wanted to do something that has never ever done before. A real life movie and that's what he's doing. Of course he had some other important reasons to make this but there's also a movie part of this hoax. By the way I've never seen that picture of Michael before. Do you know when it was from?

squall-lionheart - thanks so much for posting this video. I've watched it many times and love how mature, confident and natural MJ seems in it. It's great watching his body language talking about film, and taking it to a new place - like he knows and could say so much but won't let on right now! Surprises! It seems clear to me that he was well on in the planning stage at this point and that he'd left the old King of Pop stuff behind and was moving on with new career challenges. Love it!

TII is truly a project that is...."IT'S ALL FOR L.O.V.E. It is so much more than an artistic or entertainment work. FAR from this. Hahah funny thing: Actually if you look at the title of the movie it says: " Michael Jackson's This Is It " Just like in Peter Jackson's King Kong. Same thing you can see in "Michael Jackson's Thriller" and "Michael Jackson's Ghosts". Starting to light up?
