No, an empty tomb should not require any guards! I guess they've just realized that but we knew it all along!

 :o  :o  :o  :o I'm speechless
-
Wow so does this mean the fans could go in to visit? Very good find. But is it a good source??
-
Yes about ten to fifteen fans. Imagine the lines. Or not.
-
So what is stopping one of the crazy fan's from opening it up and looking in? If there is a body in there, it's been in there too long to look like a person, so would a real crazy person take a bone?? Oh my TMZ don't get any ideas.
-
If this is true, then I think we're near the end of all this :)
-

Maybe they are hoping someone opens it haha.
-
If this really is true, for me it confirms that whether his is dead or alive... he is not in that place. FL is just a decoy.
-
UNGUARDED ?? OF COURSE ! THERE'S NOTHING TO GUARD IN THERE !!!!!!!!
So where was all this fuss with Jackson family who didn't allowed to FL to give details
about the tomb and only very few people had access in there ?????
OMG! So many good news today :D :D :D
( and it's just 10 of March) heehheee!!!!!!!
-

piece, by piece, by piece...
-
piece by piece michael is revealed :D :D
-
I hope fans see that the grave is so fake! No name on it. `No where!!! You would think the name of the person who died would be on the grave right/
-
piece by piece michael is revealed :D :D
I totally agree. I do believe there's a body there, but not MJ's.

no name, nobody buried...
-
It doesn't matter wether there is a body or not. Nobody can open the casket anyway, I have believed Michael has been alive all this time, so it does not take news like this to convince me he is alive.
-
Yes about ten to fifteen fans. Imagine the lines. Or not.
THE 12-15 VISITORS THAT THE ARTICLE MENTIONED IS REFERRING TO THE FAMILY MEMBERS THAT ARE ON THE LIST OK'D TO GO IN. IT DOESNT MEAN 12-15 FANS LOL
-
WHAT IS THE POINT IN GUARDING THE TOMB ,WHEN THERE IS NO ONE THERE... ;)
-
Hello did it occur to anyone that the Jacksons heard the complaints of fans so decided to relax security for Mj's fans ?
-

There's a clue, when you mention no name, nobody buried. I am thinking about the song MJ was going to release "A place with no name."

There is a simple way to see if there's something in the grave without invading it. Mobile X-Ray camera.

is that going to go through the marble or granite and the casket?
-
and then what
there may be a body in there the chopped up double - that was so faithful to mike he gave his life for (not)
-
suppose its mike dummy - how are you going to tell the dummy and a person?
-
Well.. you cant get into Forest Lawn so i dont see why it needs guarding anyways.
-

My thoughts as well. If he's alive, he obviously isn't in the cemetery and if he is really dead, he isn't in FL. There were a lot of news that Jackson family has received letters from crazed people who claimed to do anything to get and keep Mj's remains.
-
Well let me put on my big surpise face. There's no need to waste money and have security waste their time guarding absoultely nothing.

Well said, Mr. Green  ! I am going to see the King! ;) MJ Lives! ;)

LOL Nows the time to email FL again and get this clarified.....
-
i don't think no one knows where Michael (is supposed to be) he's not at Forest Lawn that's for sure!
"Because Michael is Alive! and He's here Forever!" ;)
-
No one guards Elvis grave, or John Lennon, or Princess Diana... doesnt mean they are alive and the graves are empty.
Sorry... not being a party pooper, but you got to look at the other side too.
Forest Lawn is a secure, closed morseleum anyways.. dont see why they would need a guard.

exactly! so the whole thing with the guards was a show off from the start. just for intimidation, so nobody would even dare try and go in. now, all of a sudden, they decide it not being necessary anymore, although there are still flocks of fans at the cemetary's gates?
honestly, i don't think the comparisons here are quite fitting. elvis is buried in his own museum, lennon i don't know, and princess diana is buried on a secluded island in the middle of a lake. but they are all in places were also fans have an opportunity to visit. contrary to michael jackson's 'final resting place', where his fans are excluded. an entertainer buried and no fans can pay their respects? very weird...since the family also said: 'michael always said his family is first and his fans are second'. so, the second most important group of people is not allowed to pay respects to their idol? very, very weird...like any of michael's fans would damage the tomb in any way? they think that bad of michael's fans? :?
and if michael were intombed there, then there would be no way for anyone to even get to the casket, cuz the sucker would be covered under a heavy-a$$ marble plate the size of a pool table! and then you have to manage to open up a sealed, bronze casket cover from the top, weighing another half ton, cuz you couldn't get it off from the side with the marble casing still around the sides of the coffin. now, who in their right mind would go through that to ravage a grave? and do all that unnoticed, too? and if they were so scared that anyone would do damage, they could have just put the whole thing behind some bullet-proof glass. it's not that they couldn' pay for that, too.
plus a mausoleum is usually locked anyway, all you need is a security cam and an alarm system. i reckon that forest lawn cemeteries have such devices in this day and age. anyone act funny in there, the facility locks down, police alarm is forwarded and you got a catch. especially with all the celebs buried there. well, except one...
edit: it is said that yoko ono kept john lennon's ashes. he has a memorial in central park.
-
Did they ever get around to putting his name over the crypt like every other soul resting there? Or is it still barren?

I get what your saying but the Jackson family were the one's that said they needed the tomb to be guarded because they feared body snatcher's. If that is the case then what has changed that the tomb doesn't need to be guarded now? And Elvis is buried at Graceland he was moved there because someone tired to steal his body from Forest Hill Cemetery in Memphis. I'm not an Elvis fan so I shouldn't know that. I'm not sure about John Lennon and Princess Diana.
-
Not to sound morbidly grose, but maybe if there is a corpse, decomposition is so advanced now, nobody would know if it really was Michael or not if they did try stealing the body? :? :?
-

but didn't the family say that he was embalmed anf frozen and then had a half dozen people do his make up 2 months later and that he looked so great, 'like he was ready to go on stage'? he should be pretty concealed and still 'fresh' with all that treatment and then being sealed in a cold marble tomb...
if anyone is even buried there (which i don't think) that body should look like a regular concealed mummy.

Hey hey... I love it! Which brings us back around to the mummy in Liberian Girl!
Or......maybe if Michael needs more time, family will clain someone stole the body (that was never there) and hold for ransom! It will be major news on all the stations!

Yeah true but those celebrities died a long time ago too. MJ is recent.

elvis is at graceland - bet there is security
diana is in a remote island on her family estate - bet there is general security
mike - i think that there is not the interest that hoaxers assume there is, plus Fl as alot of celes there anyway
but i dont know - what is the policy for general entry to FL? what does MJJcommunity do - just turn up and head there and leave flowers, they dont go in - security intervenes.
so if i wanted to go - what do i do apart from join MJJcommunity?
-
In the beginning Jacksons said they bought 12 laps on the cemetary, so even the worker wouldn't know where he was burried .
But why they bought 12 laps if he's supposed to be burried inside the mausoleum :?

they purchased these cabinet type holes in the wall out of his estate?

I think FL is usually under strict vigilance so I see no need to extra protection for the tomb of Michael.

*guffaw*
I could just see through it with ma superpowers. DUHH!
I highly doubt he's in the grave anyways, so there's nothing to protect IMO.

Wonder if they will reintroduce the guard now that James Brown's body is missing from his tomb!

Just think if they go to MJs tomb if Dr Murray wants more evidence? Its an interesting thought!
:? :o

There does seem to be something going on here. The timing of MJ's tomb being unguarded and James Brown's body going missing and Murray is linked to both of them and his case coming up in few weeks.
I think things could be about to unfold. Too many coincidences again....
-
It could be the investigators hope to catch the individuals that were also behind the stealing of JB's body. If there is a connection, those individuals might also attempt to open MJ's tomb. To stop guarding the tomb might be a bait. Let's hope they will be caught, it would mean a HUGE progress in this case.
Furthermore...IF MJ is in a WPP because he needed official protection from those individuals and they can be caught and brought to justice...
-
I wonder if the Jacksons will put a guard back out there in light of James Brown's body being stolen? Interesting to see what happens.

probably not - who will pay for that now

at the time those other celebs died, there was still not that kind of action going on, not that i remember. i was 15 when john lennon was shot, so i remember that well enough.

And besides, Michael's death is an open case, it's considered a murder case and it would be a shame, when something would happen to the grave/the body.

Err.. maybe. I'm not sure. I thought after the body "defrosted" it deteriorates rapidly :? :? For a body to remain a certain way, they usually do a "top-up" embalment (something like that) I think mummified remains are prepared and preserved differently (not that I know and I can't rely on the "Mummy Returns" movie as a guide either.  )
-
I've talked to a couple of funeral directors and have been told that embalming preserves the body. Of course, some deterioration will take place over time. Abraham Lincoln was exhumed 30 years following his death, and his body was still recognizable. Bodies that are kept in inclosures where the temperature is constant will hold up better than those that are subject to freezing, thawing, and temperature changes.

Thanks for that. I just remembered theres another member on the other forum that worked in a funeral home for over 10 years. I'll ask her since she's done it as a living. I have read where they have exhumed 3 year old corpses and there has been minial deterioration. But I think their circumstances were different (they were put in and out of the freezer a few times like MJ. I read others where bodies have decomposed very quickly.
Morbid subject, but interesting anyway. I'll PM her and ask her these questions.

You still can't get in if you are not the list approved ny the family, guards or not.Just leave your flowers and teddybears at the front desk, they'll make sure he gets them,I guess.

Due to Karen Fayes money making antics at Forest Lawn, its been totally locked down now. No one can go in without an approved family member.

Dear Sabrina *************,
Thank you for your inquiry, your patience is appreciated.
Mr. Michael Jackson was entombed in a private area of our Glendale location. The family has decided to keep his location private and is off limits to the public. At Forest Lawn, we honor the wishes of all families we serve and respect the privacy of all decedents interred in our Memorial-Parks.
If you wish to purchase flowers you may order from the Forest Lawn Flower Shop located within the park grounds, or purchase from another florist. Flowers ordered from the Forest Lawn Flower Shop will be delivered to Mr. Jackson's resting place. All outside florists are instructed to deliver flowers to the Holly Terrace entrance of the Great Mausoleum. All notes and letters delivered to Mr. Jackson's resting place are being mailed to Mrs. Katherine Jackson on a regular basis.
I hope that this may answer any questions you may have. Thank you for your patience and understanding. It was a pleasure to be of service.
