Title: Tiger Woods parallel to MJ
Post by: MJonmind on April 08, 2010, 02:04:36 PM
I don't know if anyone has noted this, why TMZ is so focused on Tiger Woods.
I included a pic of Tiger getting one of his prized green jackets. My daughter had the tv on and the ads talked about tmz's news about Tiger Woods and some of the wording seems to parallel Michael. Like, "World's greatest golfer", "the come-back", and along with Jesse James and David Letterman the words "damage control", "full disclosure". There's Tiger's big public confession, "I am so sorry. I had affairs." (12 of them). He's a sex addict. But then supposedly with MJ's porn mags maybe there's something there, only Michael's addiction was just in his thoughts what Tiger acted in real life. Wiki said that in 2008 Tiger was world's highest paid professional athelete, that he was a child prodigy starting golfing at age 2.  I believe there's something very important here that we are supposed to figure out. It seems beyond me though, but maybe others out there could brainstorm. I've been seeing Tiger in newspapers, TV, everywhere and there's something... :?  And a funny pic too.

if hiding porn mags under his bed links MJ to Tiger then i guess all men in the world are linked by this too

there s nothing amazing in buying porn mags...just look at the high sales of them to figure out MJ wasnt the only one buying

and on to why TMZ keeps talking bout Tiger? well scandal sells. Jesse james and TIger making headlines sells..plus Tiger is playing in Augusta right now so not talking bout him would be even stranger no?

I am sorry i dont see the point...maybe i misunderstood you tho....

I don't think it's related to MJ.  But there's something disturbing about this whole Tiger Woods case.  Why is he not permitted to speak on a cell phone in public??  His every move is being watched by a security team of 90 guards.  Isn't that a bit excessive?  It seems that they aren't trying to protect him, but to keep him from having contact with anyone outside of his circle. Elin beat him in the head with a golf club so badly that he needed reconstructive plastic surgery... that's spousal abuse. People have condemned Tiger for adultery, but why has no one questioned Elin's behavior?  Tiger's behavior was overblown.  It's not a good thing to cheat on your wife, but a lot of people do.  Many of our married politician and businessmen have as many sexual partners as Tiger, why are they never found out?  Why are so many acting like adultery is unique to Tiger?

imo the only person to blame for this is tiger himself. until tiger decides to stand up like a man and defend himself i think he deserves everything that is happening to him. he needs to let the press know that he did not invent cheating and whatever is going on in his house is his business. and just like someone else said his wife has some issues as well but i guess spousal abuse is ok so long as the man is being abused. imo tiger and michael have nothing in common because michael always stand up for what he believes in. tiger on the other hand is just a little lost puppy who is confused about himself and life.

i think what the poster is trying to get at is that Michael and tiger are alike in the sense that they had both good clean images and then scandal broke out and the media are over it like a rash..... i think the comparrison is to do with the way that the media are dealing with this...

Yeah I don't really see any parallels between them; but last time I checked whatever is going on is between him and his wife.  The Media is always in someone else business.

I always thought that Tiger Woods was in the hoax, but I never said it because people will find me crazier, lol! But if you know about the site: www.lookin.biz (http://www.lookin.biz), and if you were there on november 27 (I always thought this site was really reliable, cause I've read a lot of times "Dancing the dream", and it was really the style of writing and stories of Michael). That day, he had a particular story about luxure, and then, right after that in the same day, TMZ broke the story about Tiger Woods! I was like "Oh! My God"! What a coincidence! And then this story turned crazier and crazier. And everytime we have a big news coming out about Michael, we get another big news concerning Tiger... And this week, Tiger's dad resurrection into a commercial?!

For my part, yes I do think it is related!  :D

Is it really anything to do with anyone else apart from his wife, if Tiger Woods had/has an extra marital affair ? Good heavens the Media will print when we go to the toilet next!

I don't think there's a link to Mj and Tiger other than they are both rich, attractive, successful, household names who have women chasing them all over the world. Aside from that they have nothing in common.

Tiger behaved the way that any red-blooded human would have behaved if given the opportunity. He is not an addict. He is simply a regular guy who was presented with a lot of options and he took advantage of what was presented to him. Talk to your neighbor, co-worker, classmates or family member. Those men would have done the same... if... they could.

I think they are connected in the fact that both were started by their fathers to preform at a very young age... controlling their lives at such a young age to end up as "the World's Greatest".

Just thinking about that Nike commercial of Tiger's father speaking ... can you imagine a Sony commercial with Poppa Joe speaking!!!

I personally feel that African American male celebrities are criticized and attacked more in the media when they are accused of something.  I'm not trying to play the race card or be biased but I believe that it does make a difference when the celebrity male is rich, black, powerful, and famous.  David Letterman, David Dacovany, Jessie James, John Edwards all cheated but Tiger has been in the press non stop.  Jessie James is getting some criticism but not as much as Tiger.  David Letterman just got a slap on the wrist and some laughs for cheating with staff members on his wife.  Personally that pissed me off that Letterman thinks he did something noble by exposing himself on his tv show that he cheated.  The only reason he did it because he was about to get busted out.  In the cases of the white male celebrity their scandals tends to dissapear from the spotlight faster.  Charlie Sheen, Robert Downey Jr. and Sean Penn have also been wrapped up in scandal and they have never been criticized as much in the media as Tiger or MJ.  So in that sense I can see the connection with MJ and Tiger.  I by no means think that it was acceptable for Tiger to cheat on his wife but people in the media need to let it go and focus their attention on something more important.  I think that the media needs to treat all celebrities fairly regardless especially if they are proven innocent like MJ.

First, I would like to say how TIRED I am of hearing about Tiger, day after day. Yeah, he cheated, it's wrong. But he admitted it, he apologized for it, he paid the price. But his wife forgave him, his fans forgave him, he's still golfing, so I say DROP IT ALREADY. The parallel to MJ I see, it a very successful African American man is accused of something bad & bashed in the media left & right, day in & day out. To try to ruin them, I suppose. The difference is though, Tiger is actually guilty & MJ was completely innocent. I really feel they need to leave Tiger the heck alone now though. Enough is enough. Yes, he is famous, he got himself into the spotlight, the business, whatever. But I think the media has dragged him through the mud & back enough now. It's getting on my nerves. He got the therapy he needed & did what he needed to get past this. & beside that, cheating on your spouse & marriage problems, are nobody's concern or business. Why people have so much interest in this is beyond me.
