I found this guy on facebook. A youtube vid (which I can not watch) claimed that he is the O2 guy and had an 45min interview....
I really don't know what to make out of it. IF he is the impersonator/body double/whatever who is the real MJ??? I am very confused right know.

Good grief... this person is going to every extent that he possibly can to make people believe this about this Barry Shaw guy... (I'm talking about the maker of that video). The interview he uses is Michael talking about his looks (I think from the Bashir interview) when he had scars and all that on his face from acne. It is not an interview on the radio like he claims it to be. :/ I just don't understand why this guy is pushing this so hard. Maybe to see if the hoax believers will believe anything? :/
P.S. I'm saying he's going to every extent possible because he contacted me several times on my youtube account trying to get me to believe this story and I asked if this Barry had come out publicly in an interview and if it was online to view and now he has this..... lol

Hi I just had a fight with this Barry Shaw guy trying to convince people he is MJ.. I wrote on my facebook I did not believe him and then everyone started following me.. I dont like these trolls trying to convince people that they are someone who they are not and I cannot believe his alot of his followers believe he is a MJ double, He has used the pics from the MJ site and also claims he was Mj at the 2006 World Music Awards.. when you can see that he is MJ.. and he had some videos on his facebook saying it was him as well when you clearly see it is MJ.. This guy is a lunatic.. then he has deleted me and now you cant even go into his account.. He wrote this on my wall

I don't belive this Berry, I think like most of you, that he is a troll. Okay lets pretend that he was Michaels body double. If he now can go out with that information in public, then why not post some pictures or videos of him self? I'm sorry but I don't find this as proof that this person is real. That radio interview is only audio and sounds too much like Michael when he was talking about his acne years. The Facebook is a little more strange but I don't know how people can see that as being legit if they don't think 5 Brothers entertainment, llc is legit. For me, I'll need to see better evidence before I'll believe this story. Sorry...

Maybe we'll get more evidence that MJ really USED a double. I'm sure he did , otherwise it would have been almost impossible to live but it's hard to demonstrate this. My question would be : is there here who could be 100% sure that the man we used to consider MJ was the real MJ?

Nobody has to believe in the tarot I do, but this 'Barry Shaw' is 'made up' - the person is lying. I think its a terrible thing to do to open facebooks and pretend you are someone else. I have totally dismissed this persons myspace and facebook because this is NOT the way to treat Michaels fans . It is good to see people here are not going to be led by the nose and be treated as though they are unintelligent.

"Barry" is not really married, that "marriage" is just for fun - a request from a fan. They don't really know each other.
I talked to him for quite a while - don't worry, I did not give out personal information. But, I will say one thing, he seems very professional and nice. I understand the concern and the fact that it's unlikely he's telling the truth. But, what if he is? I mean, we've all talked about doubles forever now, and the pictures he's posted are all pics that we've argued about whether or not it's Michael. He said he lived at Neverland for quite some time. He told me that the Jackson family isn't as close as they seem. He said one time Randy came to see Michael, and Michael sent him out to talk to him and Randy knew right away and said "go get my brother". He said the family knew about him and most of the time they didn't know the difference.
Questions about the hoax he doesn't answer, but he doesn't shoot them down either.
I've also entertained the idea that this could be Michael trying to communicate with his fans without revealing anything yet. He could get a feel for what people believe and also be able to answer questions about himself without being too obvious, because a double would know a lot of things about him too.
And either way, I wouldn't take the name "Barry Shaw" too seriously. I think the name itself would have to be made up no matter the circumstances. You're not going to find any information on this guy. Because he's either a fake or he's telling the truth and looks nothing like the person he used to be.
He said he had extensive plastic surgery and he also said it is not impossible to get a voice to sound very much like someone elses (through some kind of procedure I'm assuming).
Just thought I'd share what I've learned so far.

If you believe there IS an "02 guy" - as in, it was NOT Michael - then it might be logical to consider that "Barry" might BE the 02 guy. Because afterall, if the 02 guy was not Michael, and Michael "died" - wouldn't the other guy still be around? And even if Michael did not die, wouldn't the double(s) still exist?
OR - what if the double was the one who died? Whether or not his real name is Barry Shaw or not I don't think really matters. And what if this is Michael trying to 1)honor and give credit to someone who helped him for years and 2)get to know some of his fans in a way he's never been able to before while getting a feel for the general beliefs about the hoax.
I'm just tossing out ideas. I do not know any more than anyone else does. I'm just sort of surprised that people are so quick to write someone off. Especially those who believe in the doubles theory. We're talking about DOUBLES here, not impersonators. It would be a person who was literally MADE to be as close of a duplicate as possible of the original.
Either way - please be careful when talking to him. Just as he will not disclose too much information about himself, we shouldn't disclose too much about ourselves either.
Things are not always what they appear to be... he could be a fake, but he could be telling the truth too. Or he could be both if you think about it.

very good point, i'm thinking the same. also, there are many court pics on this profile page and when mike was somewhere with his kids (like the studio session). i HIGHLY doubt that mike would send a double to court when his life depends on the outcome of that and i also HIGHLY doubt that mike would have sent a double to accompany his kids overseas. no. effin'. way.
if this is not another one of mike's aliases (which i doubt, but a prankster will be a prankster), this 'barry shaw' guy is playin'! he might have worked as a double but the events he was supposedly at were way too important for mike's image to risk that it could go wrong, plus the legal issue. you just cannot send a double to court. period. not buying!

And even if it was to protect this double story, do you think Michael woudl have face justice and risk to go to jail for the rest of his life, for something his double might have done ?
I mean, if there was really a double on Neverland, I think cops would have heard of it, would have checked contract...isn't ther a finger print identification for people accused of such things ? They would have noticed. And Michael's family or friend would have talked about this man, who was exact copy of Michael and could be with children pretending to be Michael. I would speak about it if I knew it and that my friend or family member was in danger to go to jail for life.

BTW the 3 random people will be people from his facebook friends list, that have requested to be randomly chosen to see him on webcam (he is going to draw their names out of hat).

My response to my critics
Hello everyone! God bless all of you out there, and thank you all for the INCREDIBLE amount of support; I am truly humbled. I think that it is very important for me to answer some questions that have been raised by my critics. So I am going to try to respond to most of the major questions that have been raised by my critics.
Please note: I get (it seems) about 25-50 messages on facebook every hour. It is simply IMPOSSIBLE to respond to everyone. Please do not get upset at me, I am trying very hard to stay up to date.
Ok so here we are with the most asked questions/comments from my critics.
-Barry Shaw is just doing all of this for attention. My response: I did NOT (AT ALL) advertise around the internet seeking out friends/fans/haters. YOU all found me. So if YOU all found me, how can I be doing this for attention? I opened my facebook account up a few months ago, and what is written in the box about me being Mike's body double since '91 has been there all along. This is no new thing, or me gaining attention. Furthermore, if I was seeking attention, and I was not who I say I am-- what (honestly) would be the point of that? I would not be receiving any attention on who I really am? So (to me) that seems a bit farfetched.
-Barry only posts pictures of Michael Jackson that he gets from online. Why don't he get some of himself? My response: ALL my facebook pictures are of me-- now this may blow your mind a bit, and if so, I apologize in advance. My job was to PLAY MICHAEL JACKSON TO HIS FANS. This means that I look 99.9% like Michael, I sound 90% like Michael, and I act 95% like Michael. With such high numbers, it's no wonder I was Michael's full time body double from 1991-2004 and after and no one ever knew I existed. There have been times when people suspected Michael was someone else (examples: phone call with Geraldo Rivera, WMA 2006).
-Why am I coming out now? My repsonse: two very simple answers. 1) I had a contract with Michael Jackson signed 1991 that I would not ever publicly announce my profession and my work as Michael Jackon for as long as Michael Jackson was alive. (hence now I am allowed to do so.) 2) Now with Michael gone, I felt it would be important to help give the FANS information about MICHAEL. -Why doesn't Barry take pictures of himself and post it online? My response: well, quite honestly there is a simple answer to this also. Now my answer may not be acceptable, in fact it may even be controversial, but it is the truth. I have neither the equipment to take a photo of myself, nor the desire to. I am a very strong perfectionist, and I do not look into mirrors unless I am about to go out and do a venue as Michael Jackson. I do not like the way that I look, and it somewhat angers me whenever I look into a mirror.

The family knew of my existance. To them, and most people around the world, it's neither odd, nor controversial for a man like me to exist. Stalin had a me, and other world leaders I am told. Michael Jackson was the #1 most famous man in the world, it is impossible for him to do all the things needed to do to maintain this spot on the world scale without a double. For the family to come out and call my name out would give no positive affect to them nor Michael. Joseph Jackson has spoken about me in numerous occasions, he simply did not use my name. La Toya Jackson has spoken/written about me. Jermaine Jackson has referenced to me. Randy Jackson has referenced to me.
-Barry has a photo of the court day, but claims it is him. Did he stand trial for Jackson? My response: Of course not. Yes it was me. I and Michael both went to the trial, here is how it worked, and why: Michael was told there was going to be a rioting crowd, and that the people were going to be obnoxious on his walk into the courthouse. So for safety reasons, I walked into the front door with his family and supporters, and Mike slipped in the back door. This type of "clandestine" work happened very often.
I hope you all better understand me now. All that I ask is, I know it's probably just easiest to be skepticle. But just have an open mind when thinking of me, the truth will previal. And if you decide to no believe, that is fine. All that I ask is please just stay off my page and let me live. I did not come searching for you, you came searching for me. So if you don't believe me, I am ok with that, just leave me alone!!!

I understand where the skepticism comes from and I can't say that I am sure one way or the other who this person is. But, I can say that I don't have any proof that he ISN'T who he says he is, therefore I cannot say that he's not.
I think he's worth keeping an eye on and hearing out what he has to say. That doesn't mean putting your life in danger though. Please be careful when talking to ANYONE you don't know on the internet. Just as we have to be careful when talking to each other... we have no idea who we are communicating with half the time here on the forum. That's the thing about this virtual world we call the internet. You just never know.
If this Barry Shaw gives me any reason to believe he's a bad guy, I will be the first to come here and inform you all of my educated opinion. But so far, he has only shown love to everyone. There are still good people left in the world, and he could just as easily be one of them as he could be an internet predator.
Keep an open mind. The truth will reveal itself. Always does.

Yes, I investigate very thoroughly. And that's what I am doing by following this person claiming to be Mike's double.
We do not have anything for sure, as I said.
All I'm saying is... there's no proof one way or the other.
And if/when Michael returns... I'm starting to wonder if people will believe it's him. But yet they believe it was him as Dave Dave...
Just saying - it's interesting what people choose to believe and how quick they are to write off other things. Doesn't make sense to me.
For the record, I do believe it was Michael as Dave on LKL. And I do believe he will return. I also believe Michael had at least one double. And since I believe that, I am going to continue to follow this person claiming to be that double. He could very likely be fake, yes. But I can't prove that.

What I think might be stupid and not logical for you here, but I think (MAYBE) they invented this person "Barry Shaw" to protect Michael - I mean Michael could be seen somewhere and the world thinks: OH no this is not the real MJ, the real MJ is dead this is "Barry Shaw" the double who worked for him for so long and looks 99% like him. This is just my theory, which for myself is weak but you never know.

Lady J you have made some good points. The reason I am here is to investigate every possible scenario, and look at it from all different angles. We all know for a fact that MJ had to have doubles just to divert the attention of the media and the fans ,so he could just do some normal things for a while.
This theory is not that incredible to believe. It's a fact. Even family and staff have confirmed this. Whether Barry Shaw is the one, that is something we need to prove.
Hey, if you had told me 10mths ago that MJ is still alive, I would have also just laughed it off. But now, after 11mths of investigating, I have a more open mind to more theories.

One thing I don't quite understand about your little webcam session scenario is why you took the picture with a cell phone camera. You quite clearly had a screencap up in an untitled MSPaint window, so wouldn't it have just been easier to save it from there and upload it? Umm yeah some could say I'm nit-picking here I suppose but come on. You don't seem real credible. You seem about as credible as Barry Shaw (which is actually not credible at ALL).

There are many impersonator, double, lookalike...of Michael. They all say they exist, show pictures or video of themselves. They all say Michael is the best, the greatest...
None of them ever claimed they were a 100% (or 99%) looking like Michael, and using MICHAEL's pictures to proove it. And you know why ? Because of respect...We all know there is no chance a double look completely like another guy, because of bones structures and everything...and just because of what's inside...
If BS (let me call him BS :mrgreen: ) really is such a double, I don't like the way he does it. I don't know how to explain in English. To me he is talking about "love" but in fact he is "self-important" (satisfied of himself, google tells me "sufficious" but I'm not sure)
He is so sure to be the best double, that he can allow himself to use MJ pictures to proove it, he can tell us, we are the bad people bothering him, and most of it, he's showing fans that Michael fooled them, sending a double to them (because he says he was double for private life, not performing). How fans would feel knowing they only met a double, thinking the dream of their life came true and that it was Michael's will to fool them ? I mean, he's just destroying Michael's image of kindness, to turn him into a manipulator who never cared of his fans and sent doubles to deal with it.

There are many impersonator, double, lookalike...of Michael. They all say they exist, show pictures or video of themselves. They all say Michael is the best, the greatest...
None of them ever claimed they were a 100% (or 99%) looking like Michael, and using MICHAEL's pictures to proove it. And you know why ? Because of respect...We all know there is no chance a double look completely like another guy, because of bones structures and everything...and just because of what's inside...

I understand where the skepticism comes from and I can't say that I am sure one way or the other who this person is. But, I can say that I don't have any proof that he ISN'T who he says he is, therefore I cannot say that he's not.
I think he's worth keeping an eye on and hearing out what he has to say. That doesn't mean putting your life in danger though. Please be careful when talking to ANYONE you don't know on the internet. Just as we have to be careful when talking to each other... we have no idea who we are communicating with half the time here on the forum. That's the thing about this virtual world we call the internet. You just never know.
If this Barry Shaw gives me any reason to believe he's a bad guy, I will be the first to come here and inform you all of my educated opinion. But so far, he has only shown love to everyone. There are still good people left in the world, and he could just as easily be one of them as he could be an internet predator.

Hello all. God bless each of you for your uniqueness and loveable sense of honesty. As you know, there has been an effort by those who are strongly against Michael Jackson and what he stood for to report my facebook account-- since it stood for love. This effort was led by "MJ impersonator" Michael Kiss. Normally, as all of you, I usually don't "fight fire with fire," but this was extremely low of this so called "impersonator" and he followers. I ask all of you supporters to please go to Michael Kiss's facebook profile page, and please report his page for the reason of Cyber Bullying. He was doing this to me, and I have done nothing to harm him, his name, or any of his followers (the MJ haters).
I want you all to know this: although I will not be able to be on Facebook now, which was the main way to connect with all of you lovely supporters-- I will remain here on MySpace, and I will keep posting my blog. I WILL KEEP SPREADING THE MESSAGE OF LOVE NO MATTER HOW MUCH MICHAEL KISS THE "IMPERSONATOR" TRIES TO HURT ME AND SAY HATEFUL THINGS TOWARDS ME.
I love you all so much. No one person could ever take this away, and you must realize that! I came to Facebook with the belief of connecting and sharing my stories about Michael Jackson and his personal life. As it turns out, most people weren't interested in Michael, rather they were interested in me-- something I thought was a big surprise.
And although I can't be with you there, I can do quick chat with you there, I am still around. I am still on MySpace-- I will continue to post these blogs, and share my message of love, courage, humility, and truth.

The missing link-- faith-- has been lost over the years, and in turn has made many turn away from their religious faith and look to atheism. If the proof isn't there, the people don't care to hear it. Let me tell you, NOT EVERYTHING IS BASED OF EVIDENCE! The most important things in life come by faith.
If one has strong faith, no matter what he/she chooses to believe in, the faith is stronger than any scientific evidence. Look around you, there is so much to be learned in this modern day world that is just unexplainable.
I am here for you all. I am not here for the haters. I want you all to know that I love you, and this isn't the end of me.. rather just the beginning.
When Michael died, I figured that I have seen the end of the hateful world I had been living in. I thought maybe if I reappeared on the seen, I would be welcomed back-- in fact-- I was, but the same hateful people were being hateful.
It's quite sad.. It really is. Michael Kiss, you are a poor person for doing this.

Like I stated in the beginning, this is all a distraction from the truth! We need to focus on justice for Michael Jackson! Many of us have confronted him with that evidence and he doesn't deny it, he just completely ignores it. We've also repeatedly asked for a picture like you described and his basic response has been "I DON'T NEED TO PROVE IT!!!! MY BELIEVERS BELIEVE ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" or, after the webcam incident where he explicitly asked beforehand that no pictures be taken - "if you look on my wall you will see a picture of me from the webcam session, I asked for no pictures because I think I'm ugly but John Harrison took the picture anyway, please go look at it!"
It was epic lols. I might even miss him a lil, just for the entertainment factor.

"Barry" before he closed his myspace page, the said that he had 2 girls, one called Andrómeda, by the way :roll: and the tip of the iceberg was to promote a cult in the name of Michael. Michael Kiss reacted against him, and many other MJs supporters, as myself, spammed the guy till dead for him to stop using people and promoting cults in the name of MJ. Finally he closed his myspace account for the sake of all.
He claimed to have the face of MJ so he was feeling bad bah blah blah.
I don´t judge him for him believing in his mind that he was MJ´s double but I do react when cults are promoted.
All those fakes have one agenda, create caos and spread hate. People must stay united to find the truth of what happened to MJ, to know him better and finally he will be able to R.I.P

My response to Christopher Gaspar's claims I stole his photo.

Unfortunately, this Earth is not one of love and peace-- rather -- it is of hatred and malice. I have considered how to approach this question for quite sometime, because no matter how compelling my answer is, someone always wants to argue. So I have created a challenge for you: the man/woman who believes I am fake, and that I copied Christopher's photo. Find me the copy of CG's photo that I copied, and show it to me. Why is it that NOT ONE PERSON, not even CG himself (who allegedly started these claims) is able to produce is a single photo that a "stole?" ...Because I did not.
Furthermore, I myself didn't even post the photo, so how does it get back that I am the one who took it? Because I knew this sort of thing would happen, I told the people I showed my webcam for NO PHOTOS ALLOWED.. Yet one person snuck it in.
MY FINAL REBUTTAL ABOUT CHRISTOPHER GASPAR.... Did you know that after the Jordan Chandler Vs. Michael Jackson legal trial, on French NATIONAL TELEVISION, Christopher Gaspar went on and played a skit portraying Michael Jackson as a pedophile? (If you don't believe me, ask Ben Jack'son, a superb French Jackson impersonator).
So think about what you are doing.... You are hurting me, and my friends, because someone who spread lies about Michael told you that I stole a picture (that he can't even find) ?
...Do the right thing... Christopher is jealous the spotlight is off from him. He is egotistical, and that is NOT what Michael was all about.

Christopher is a very sweet guy. I've talked to him one-on-one a little bit and he's just...got a good heart. You can tell. It radiates from him. I can also say the same about Michael Kiss. He's been sending me messages since Barry first popped up, he's always been very kind to me and thankful that people defend him.
I've never really been into impersonators/tribute artists. Most of them kinda creep me out honestly. But these two I'm quite okay with, because I know their hearts are at least in the right place. I'm grateful to have had the chance to speak with them :)

He already has, as John Harrison. I can't remember the username exactly but John Harrison's IP address was the same as Barry's so it's pretty safe to say, same person or close cohorts. He was posting here whining that we should believe Barry and neither of them are liars and blahblahBLAH.
The reason I'm suspicious he deactivated his own Facebook is because he was supposed to be "meeting fans" on the 5th at O'Hare International in Chicago.
I'm watching closely. Always watching. I'll do whatever is necessary to take him down and keep him down, don't worry. ;)

The fact that he showed a bunch of photos of MICHAEL claiming it was him in the photos (by the way he also showed some photos from the court in 2005 claiming it was him in the photos and not Michael, so he fooled also the judges! What a smartass, don't you think?) doesn't make it TRUE. And the fact that you hear a computerized voice doesn't mean that voice exists- it can be easily made on the computer with today's technology.

The Barry Shaw I'm thinking of, is a filmmaker who owns Barry shaw Productions. He and Dana Gedrick made a documentary Witnessing Headlines (2008) about the trial in 2005. Their focus was on the media's influence, instead of covering the trial, the fans, being part of the media hype and the media ratings. I haven't seen this documentary yet, but that's gonna change. I hope the documentary is still availabe. I think it's very interesting.
About the Documentary
Try to imagine two filmmakers taking their video cameras in hand to film the hoopla around a celebrity trial... the trial of none other than legendary pop star Michael Jackson. Even though Barry Shaw and Dana Gedrick knew this was no oridnary celebrity trial, it would prove to be far from anything the pair of them had expected to encounter.
For starters, they had not anticipated the fierce extent to which the fans' compassion would influence journalists and media covering the trial, nor had they forseen the extent to which the media's personal feelings and biases would enter into what would be presented to the public. The result was for Barry and Dana to realize that such strong personal feelings on the part of the media all but precluded the hope of presuming innocence.
Try to imagine, as well, that you are a staunch and devoted fan of a man despised by much of the world. Imagine that you are only a few against so many who've already condemned the defendant in their hearts. Your view may appear extreme to many, though to you, the fan, it is precisely the opposite; it is the others' views that are extreme.
It is true that opinions can obscure facts, but in this case, it is almost a given that media coverage would play a part in distorting facts to the point where a fair trial becomse almost impossible... especially when the accused has already been deemed guilty by a majority of the population. In Barry Shaw's opinion, there was something inherently wrong with using a high publicized child molestation trial to increase media ratiings. For Dana Gedrick, mother of three sons, it was more about keeping her personal feelings out of her work.
Together, the two filmmakers came up with the idea of turning the cameras around on the media.
While we all know that it is impossible to remain uninfluenced by what goes on around us, media coverage and personal opinions have the potential to shroud facts, and in the minds of some individuals, totally obliterate them. It was for these reasons that Barry and Dana decided to focus on the media's influence in the trial of Michael Jackson and allow their film to demonstrate just how impossible it is to remain untouched by that which we witness or become a part of.
