They were actually going to do a follow up episode with the Leon character and instead of Michael voicing him, it was going to be Prince. Can't remember why it never happened though

So Michael sang it for the Simpsons? not for Lisa Presley? I thought it was for Lisa Presley ;)

Love is animals
Love is the answer
Love is respect
Love is Michael
Love is my message!!

yeah, it sounds like it was written specifically for The Simpsons, and maybe just dedicated to LMP.

No, I think it really is Michael. That song was originally for LMP, right?

Well, actually the original did not make onto the show.  I know Michael wrote it and sang it, but the one on the show was sung by someone who sounds a lot like him, or so I've been told.
Here is the link to the original

Michael did the voice of the character "Michael" in the episode but the singing was done by someone else as he didnt sign to sing on it    ...honestly. lol... i think his name appeared on the credits as John Smith. (:

I was wondering when did they tape this episode.  I noticed the newspaper on the table, then it dawned on me that they couldn't have made this episode this year, right?.  But this episode has been showing in YT and others related to Michael.

I have a question.  I don't really follow Simpsons, but when was this episode shown? Did the newpaper with the HOAX in it was also shown then? Or is it just inserted now for YT viewers

This is the first episode from Season 3 and first aired in the US - September 19, 1991. The hoax newspaper is in the original episode and is not a new insert.

It was written specifically for that episode, as Michael was a big fan of the Simpsons. He did the speaking part for the character Leon Kompowsky and Kipp Lennon did the singing part during the episode. Michael was creditied as John Jay Smith in the closing credits, because of a contractual obligations.

Yes, that's true. The episode is called "Stark Raving Dad" and you can watch it here:
