Michael Petrelis is a gay rights activist.

Here is the FBI's response to his request for the file on Michael Jackson:

What this all means who knows.  I would be interested in seeing the file. But I also wish people wouldn't keep digging into all of this.  I guess it is inevitable though.  John Lennon had a huge FBI file too.

Wonder what his interest is in MJ's file?

"Tuesday, August 18, 2009
FBI's Michael Jackson File = 591 Pages

When I submitted a Freedom of Information Act request to the Federal Bureau of Investigation for any records they may have in their archive on Michael Jackson, I expected the agency would reply saying they didn't locate any such records, or that there were only a handful on pages on the late entertainer. I was wrong.

A letter from the FBI yesterday informs me they've located close to 600 pages on him. As I've learned from years of filing these sort of FOIAs, it's going to be a while before anything is released, and, when pages are eventually provided to me, they could be quite mundane.

Here's the FBI letter on my Michael Jackson FOIA:"

The feds received another request from me in the summer when closeted gay singer Michael Jackson died, and in response the FBI said it had 600 pages on him, but didn't say when that file would be released.

I can't find this statement in his blog...is it at the end of the thread you linked.  I went all the way to the bottom and still couldn't find it.

FBI Has 3,000 Pages on Ted Kennedy

When a person dies, you can file a Freedom of Information Act request with the Federal Bureau of Investigation for any records on the deceased. My open government bone gets itchy many times when famous people pass away.

I experienced an episode of nosiness when homo-hating Sen. Jesse Helms died, I filed a FOIA, and the FBI soon revealed it had more than 1,000 pages on him. But more than a year after his demise, the feds still have not released a single page on the North Carolina politician.

The feds received another request from me in the summer when closeted gay singer Michael Jackson died, and in response the FBI said it had 600 pages on him, but didn't say when that file would be released.

(about half-way down or do a search for "Jackson")

Um, wait, this guy is actually entertaining the thought that MJ is secretly gay? What led him to this conclusion?

I read, that they did. I think, among other things they wiretaped a conversation between Michael and his lawyer(?) in a private jet.
It's month ago, that I read it - so I can't provide a link right now.
