After Bec's post about the problems with the funeral pics, I found another thing that is odd. The first pic that bec posted: You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login is supposed to be the one of the cover of Liberian girl, but when compared to that cover pic, something didn't seem right. I put the original cover as a transparent layer over the funeral pic, but I could NOT get a perfect match. I could match the eyes, nose and mouth, which means  it is the same person, but the rest of the photo is off. I have made 6 shots. layer with a 0% capacity, 20%, 40%, 60%, 80% and 100%, so you can see the face (at least the eyes, nose and mouth) matches. If you have photoshop yourself, I challenge you to match it.

So what's the Big Friggin' Difference?! To me one looks older, and the nostrils of the 'older' one are clearly bigger and his face is wider. Like to hear your thoughts  8-)

Isn't it possible it's just the same pic edited with photoshop or some other similar stuff?

The 'younger' one is from the official cover, and in the 80's we didn't have the photoshop we have now. Also, I can't match the hair either, and the eyebrows are different as well. It's just not a perfect match and believe me, I've tried...

Right, I wanted to know if you knew the date release  ;) ok, so if one is from the 80's no way it could have been photoshopped, so ... they are different

Entire picture not just the face/body is lightened can do that with anything from Paint shop pro to Gimp to Photoshop.

Can blend/smooth/blur with any of them also.

What exactly don't you think is a 'match'? The chin? They smoothed out the cleft and the age lines.. i can do it to the picture right now if you want?  There's no hiding the fact that just about every professional/staged/photoshoot pictures of Michael is in some way retouched or changed.. it's airbrushing just like models get in Playboy and for swim suit pictorials.

Don't get me wrong, I know how it works.

That doesn't explain why the pictures are different. If I match the clothes, the face is in the wrong position. blending, bluring, lighting, sharpen ok, but putting the head in another position? Why?
And if the ýounger one is shopped, how come the eyebrows of the 'older' one look slimmer and shopped, but on the 'shopped' photo they don't... Get what I'm saying 'cause I have the feeling I make no sense

I have aligned markings around the photo and this is what I have come up with. It looks to me as if we have two similar photos from the same photoshoot. Probably taken within a second of each other. It appears as if Michael tilts his head back or forth slightly. Just enough to change the shape of his face, alter the position of the edges of his hair, and move the position of his right shoulder.
However, one of the photos (the 'younger' one) has been smoothed over dramatically in the face and brightened to emphasise the hair strands.. And, the other 'older' photo has had the contrast altered to give the hair a darker appearance, and less hair strands show. I also noticed on the 'older' face photo that there's an inconsistency on the jawline below his left ear, and there are neck lines.

How is this significant?
