"King of the Mountain" - Interesting connections

  • on: December 17, 2010, 12:10:41 AM
Lyrics to a song Kate Bush released in 2005,
references (obvious or uncertain) to Elvis Presley, Citizen Kane, William Hearst... maybe MJ?

"King Of The Mountain" by Kate Bush
(2005 - Aerial)

Could you see the aisles of women?
Could you see them screaming and weeping?
Could you see the storm rising?
Could you see the guy who was driving?
Could you climb higher and higher?
Could you climb right over the top?
Why does a multi-millionaire
Fill up his home with priceless junk?

The wind is whistling
The wind is whistling
Through the house

Elvis are you out there somewhere
Looking like a happy man?
In the snow with Rosebud
And king of the mountain

Another Hollywood waitress
Is telling us she's having your baby
And there's a rumour that you're on ice
And you will rise again someday
And that there's a photograph
Where you're dancing on your grave

The wind is whistling
The wind is whistling
Through the house

Elvis are you out there somewhere
Looking like a happy man?
In the snow with Rosebud
And king of the mountain

The wind it blows
The wind it blows the door closed.

[center:7ekdhh8c]Leave Me Alone
By Michael Jackson

I Don't Care What You Talkin'
'Bout Baby
I Don't Care What You Say
Don't You Come Walkin'
Beggin' Back Mama
I Don't Care Anyway
Time After Time I Gave You All Of My Money
No Excuses To Make
Ain't No Mountain That I
Can't Climb Baby

All Is Going My Way[/center:7ekdhh8c]

We don't know when exactly Michael Jackson started the hoax. But if he started it waaayyy back in time when he made the song "Leave Me Alone", then doesn't the bolded part of the song* mean he is going to climb back up. Take the seat of a king once more?
