'Idol' Reject Yoji Pop -- I CAN Dance Like MJ!
January 20, 2011, 09:57:35 AM
Years before the "American Idol" judges kicked him to the curb last night ...Yoji "Pop" Asano was impersonating Michael Jackson back home in Japan ... and he wasn't that bad!

TMZ obtained footage of Yoji busting out the moves to MJ's "Dangerous" in Osaka back in 2008.

As for last night -- Yoji tells us he's pissed about the way he was portrayed ... or not ... we really had a hard time understanding what he was trying to say on the phone.

If he wanted to enter the contest of dancing he should have been in Live to dance with Paula Abdul and Travis. Last night was American Idol you need to have a good voice, not good moves. His voice was so so.. If I was the judge I wouldn't have taken him either.
There were better singers than him. Blessings.

I'm happy to be alive, I'm happy to be who I am.

Sorry, but I'm thinking how funny would be if Michael were to American Idol disguised... impersonating himself! Man... that would be epic

I thought the opening part of American Idol was a lot like the beginning part of Breaking News. There were also 2 other people that had on one sequined glove.

Your true character is how you act when no one is looking.

With all the talk on the board about green man, I think it's funny that in that dancing video Yoji appears to be green.

It's also amazing how quickly a media source can come up with a video of some "random" MJ dancing wannabe that was taken years ago.
