I think everyone has made valid points but I want to put things in another perspective for objectivity's sake. There have been many rumors about Rihanna being associated with the Illuminati. She has made sarcastic comments about it, basically suggesting that these rumors are BS. I think she is doing the same in this video. She is boldly flaunting it for controversy and is saying, "Okay you think I'm in the Illuminati, well here...Okay you think I'm a slut...well here...Okay you think I'm gay...well here..." Like what Eminem rapped in his song, "I am whatever you say I am. If I wasn't, then why would I say I am? In the paper, in the news, every day I am." So it could be a big F.U. to the media. Just another way to look at it.

I've thought something along those lines too.  I've also thought that by putting those blatant Illuminati-type messages in videos the artist could be striking back at them (the "bad" guys), exposing them by getting viewers to take notice and perhaps look into what those images/words could mean.  And I've also thought that we're overloaded with these images because they want us to think they are more powerful than they really are, that they want us to think they control everything just because we see their symbols in a music video.  They don't want a resistance so they have to make themselves as imposing as possible, as scary as possible.  They want to create the illusion that they're in control because really, they're afraid of us, or at least our potential.

I realize I'm all over the place here but I like to consider as many angles as possible.

I understand what you mean and you make some great points as well. It's kinda like the Wiz. You think there is this big bad man that controls everything but then you look behind the curtain and you see a sad and insecure man who is really afraid of the people he controls. That is the illusion.

I totally get where you're coming from but if that was the case, shouldn't she have used anti-illuminati images or moves instead of writing "princess of illuminati"? We all know Michael's Black Panther video, right? He was throwing things and destroying illuminati symbols. But on the contrary Rihanna looks like she's making an illuminati commercial.

This is so so sad. Our youngs are watching these videos and these devil worshippers are their role models. Their pure and innocent brains are washed by these. If I had kids, I wouldn't allow them to watch these kind of videos.

As a mother I find it depressing that this is the norm these days, some of my daughter's friends who are only 13 years old go on Facebook and the explicit, suggestive things they say would make a sinner blush.  I have honestly been totally shocked at the things they are aware of at such a young age and how much graphic detail they can go into, they are still children for goodness sake.  They grow up too fast as it is, and people like Rihanna just reinforce the idea that they should act like sexual objects.  With regards to the Facebook posts it's not the boys I'm talking about here, it's the girls.  Some even brag about their "tally" of boys and are proud to be far from virgins at their age.  Sure when I was young there were a couple of girls who had babies at 14 years old but back then it was shocking.  The rest of us had no idea they were sexually active already, we certainly weren't.  But the way kids nowadays talk freely about such things and think they're ready for it is beyond sad and disturbing.  The media has SO much to answer for in all its forms.

Michael was robbed of his childhood because he was out working to support his family at a young age but our children are being robbed of their childhood by the sexualization of children through advertising and popular culture in general. This is too big of a deal to allow them to be robbed of carefree and innocent formative years. I once read you can tell the health of a community by how they treat the most vulnerable such as the young and the sick and elderly. By those standards, we as a society are on the precipice of no return unless something miraculous happens. I guess there is no gain in ranting if I don't do anything about it, so I'm going to write and email Rihana's record company and tell them she will be banned in our household because of the message she is projecting. $$$'s talk and that's the only thing they will understand.

I can but shake my head wondering what´s going on each time I listen to girls on that age, 12 to 14, talk about their "experiences".

Disturbing somehow that those girls end up being pregnant at 14. They know how to perform but they have no idea how to take the pill. Some think that the pill should be ingested just 5 minutes before having sex!!
Sure 20 years ago were a lot of unwanted pregnancies, but the info about precaution was not there as it is today, yet unwanted pregnancies happen an it is because the pre-teens and teens can´t process the info given to them in subliminal form, such as in music videos among others.

Hopefully, parents are awared of their kids idols and can intervene and give them advice of what is "normal" or not according to their age and emotional and cognitive development.
