MJ Was On the Hunt For The Perfect Anesthesiologist
2/17/2011 1:00 AM PST by TMZ Staff

Michael Jackson was such a hard-core drug addict ... he actually interviewed an anesthesiologist  to follow him to London to "take care of him."

Jackson -- who had a well-documented Propofol addiction for years before his death -- tried recruiting Dr. David Adams, a Las Vegas anesthesiologist, to go on tour with him in 2009.

We've learned Dr. Adams told LAPD investigators that several months before MJ's death ... Dr. Conrad Murray and Michael met with Dr. Adams and said, "We think it would be great to have an anesthesiologist go on the [This Is It] tour."

Turns out Dr. Adams had a history with Michael ... he had put MJ under with Propofol 4 times in 2 years for various procedures.

Adams thought about it and texted Murray, "I'd like to be on board.  Let's talk about it."  But MJ and Murray never contacted him again.

Murray's defense team spokesperson Miranda Sevcik says, "Dr. Murray did not know David Adams."  But Sevcik did say the defense has subpoenaed Dr. Adams for the trial

OK........If Michael was indeed a propofol addict for many years than his body must have been really resistant.
I wonder why TMZ is bringing up the addiction issue again........preparing us for what's going to be in the trial?

I don't understand why defense is so concerned and focused in proving that Michael was/is  drug addict? Even if he was/is drug addict, if there is assume no hoax, doctor still neglected to provide reasonable medical care, for that reason his atcivities are manslaughter. Even in case if Michael drank the propofol, it does not relief Conrad from liability. Because the standard of care states that doctors must keep safe drug addict patients, not feed with more drugs.

"Murray's defense team spokesperson Miranda Sevcik says, "Dr. Murray did not know David Adams." But Sevcik did say the defense has subpoenaed Dr. Adams for the trial
Bazaar   If Murray does not want to recall Adams, why would defense subpoena him?

"Michael Jackson was such a hard-core drug addict..."
Others say he was so very careful with his food and everything....
My conclusion is that there's no chance to find out the truth about Michael Jackson. All his life looks like a series of hoaxes.

MissG

The only scenario I can think about is, either an advanced addiction for surgery (BDD- Body Dimorphic Disorder)or the need of "anaesthesia" as morphine used to treat severe pain.

Michael pls come back

"Why a four-year-old child could understand this hoax. Run out and find me a four-year-old child. I can't make head nor tail out of it"

I reckon TMZ keeps bringing all this stuff up so it will be less shocking when Conrad Murray gets let off, they're not making Michael out to be a bad guy, they're just trying to justify to us the reasons why Murray is going to escape this. This is a hoax afterall, no-one died, so no-one is going to jail, but they need reasons for him to get away with the "death", otherwise it won't work.  :D

This story goes far yet! I'm just waiting for this trial and see how it goes!
Sometimes gives the impression that never get anywhere!
Michael never left us knowing anything about your life! This story seems that has been repeated with his death!
Just theories, speculation and uncertainty!
Even when there is so much controversy and no response? :?

Please please someone who really knows about propofol tell me if a person can in fact get addicted to it or not. I've even asked my own medical doctors about this and they tell me it's not an addictive drug, that someone may want to just feel numb, that they might use it for that reason like to just escape from being awake due to pain, health issues etc....but addiction NO. If this is the case then I sure am fed up with the constant press saying Michael was addicted to propofol.

Quote
the defense has subpoenaed Dr. Adams for the trial

Subpoena processSubpoenas are usually issued by the clerk of the court (see below) in the name of the judge presiding over the case. Additionally, court rules may permit lawyers to issue subpoenas themselves in their capacity as officers of the court.  Typically subpoenas are issued "in blank" and it is the responsibility of the lawyer representing the plaintiff or defendant on whose behalf the testimony is to be given to serve the subpoena on the witness.

The subpoena will usually be on the letterhead of the court where the case is filed, name the parties to the case, and be addressed by name to the person whose testimony is being sought. It will contain the language "You are hereby commanded to report in person to the clerk of this court" or similar, describing the specific location, scheduled date and time of the appearance. Some issuing jurisdictions include an admonishment advising the subject of the criminal penalty for failure to comply with a subpoena, and reminding him or her not to leave the court facilities until excused by a competent authority. In some situations the person is paid.

Pro se litigants who represent themselves, unlike lawyers, must ask a court clerk to officially issue them subpoena forms when they need to call witnesses by phone or in person, or when they need to officially request documents to be sent to them and/or directly to court[4] (any documents that have not been subpoenaed to court or verified by a witness can be dismissed by the opposite party as hearsay).

Some states (as is the case in Florida) require the subpoenaing party to first file a Notice of Intent to Serve Subpoena, or a Notice of Production from Non-Party 10 days prior to issuing the subpoena, so that the other party may have ample time to file any objections.

We should keep in mind that all the sudden out of the blue story's of "witnesses", true or not, will be shown to us in the news in the next month. It's part of the media circus. Public speculation will follow, we must be aware!

There is not evidence, Nefari!
I've heard in psychological dependence, particularly in cases of chronic pain in terminal patients.
If this whole business of death is real, then Michael may have acquired a psychological dependence on it. since he was certainly under the effect of propofol on several occasions during the plastic surgeries and saw it was a potent drug to make him sleep!
The most important thing is to check the autopsy reports that he showed no trace organic chemical dependency!
I'm saying this, just considering that there is not a  hoax, right?
I think that we're alone now and that things can get tense ... then we must think of all possibilities to not have a much greater shock!

Peace and big hug!

And there are 91 defense witnesses, and 107 witnesses for the prosecution, so there's plenty to go at!

Conrad Murray A Liar, Dr. Claims
8/25/2009 8:50 a.m. PDT by TMZ Staff

A Las Vegas doctor says Dr. Conrad Murray was lying when he told LAPD detectives he watched the Vegas doc administer Propofol to Michael Jackson earlier this year.

Liborius Agwara, the lawyer repping Dr. David Adams , tells TMZ his client never administered Propofol to Michael Jackson in a cosmetologist's office. According to the search warrant affidavit, Dr. Murray told LAPD detectives he was present when Dr. Adams administered the drug "sometime between March and April of this year."

Agwara would not say if Dr. Adams has ever administered Propofol to Jackson.

Jackson Died from Lethal Levels of Propofol
8/24/2009 10:45 PM PDT by TMZ Staff

Michael Jackson had lethal levels of Propofol in his system when he died, this according to a search warrant affidavit filed in Houston.

Dr. Conrad Murray told cops he had been treating Jackson for 6 weeks for insomnia -- giving him 50 milligrams of Propofol every night through an IV.

Murray told cops he feared Jackson was getting addicted so he reduced the dosage to 25 mg.

The morning Jackson died, Dr. Murray gave Jackson valium at 1:30 AM. Murray said the valium didn't work so he gave the singer an IV injection of lorazepam -- an anti-anxiety drug. Murray told cops Jackson was still awake, so he then gave him midazolam -- a sedative.

Murray gave Jackson more drugs. He says at 10:40 AM, he administered 25 mg of Propofol. Dr. Murray told cops Jackson repeatedly demanded the drug.

As we first reported, cops found 8 bottles of Propofol in Jackson's house after he died, but they do not know where it was purchased.

Cops also found Valium, Tamsulosin, Lorazepam, Temazepam, Clonazepam, Trazodone and Tizanidine, along with the Propofol.

The various drugs were prescribed by Dr. Murray, Dr. Arnold Klein and Dr. Allan Metzger.

Dr. Murray reportedly told cops 10 minutes after administering Propofol ... he "left Jackson's side to go to the restroom and relieve himself. Murray stated he was out of the room for about 2 minutes maximum. Upon his return, Murray noticed that Jackson was no longer breathing."

Dr. Murray says he began CPR and at some point ran downstairs and asked the chef to send up Prince Jackson, the eldest son, then Murray continued performing CPR.

Dr. Murray says he noticed that Jackson wasn't breathing at around 11 AM. He was then on the cell phone for 47 minutes with 3 separate calls, from 11:18 to 12:05. The 911 call came in at 12:21 PM .... a much longer delay than originally reported.

Dr. Murray told cops other docs had administered Propofol to Jackson, including Las Vegas Dr. David Adams. Dr. Murray said he was at a cosmetologist's office where Dr. Adams gave Jackson Propofol.

Interestingly, according to the warrant, Dr. Murray refused to sign the death certificate at the UCLA Medical Center.

UPDATE: If Dr. Murray is charged with a crime, there's a statement in the affidavit that could be evidence of a consciousness of guilt. The document also states both "UCLA doctors and L.A. Fire Dept. paramedics stated that Dr. Murray had only disclosed that he had given the medication Lorazepam [Ativan] to Jackson prior to his medical emergency." Dr. Murray did not disclose that he had given Jackson Propofol.
