I'm missing something here... Michael and Prince weren't rivals? And why would he know about the hoax, what is the point?  :geek:

What if this article is just a tabloid article? No hidden message?
I bet TMZ is having fun now.

I bet they had a lot of fun because they are following this site and I can think of no other site funnier for the time being.

Yes indeed TMZ is having fun now lolol/
Just because it is a pointless tabloid article from TMZ, this article is copied&pasted by dozens of tabloid sites saying nothing, from what I've seen.

Each "story" is only a couple lines long...there's no real point to them, I think they're just poking fun or whatever.  But they don't mean anything.  Although I do find it interesting they paired Janet and Prince together.

I agree with you.  Janet's and Prince's hair are very similar in the pictures they posted.  On an unrelated note, it was really nice to see an 80's picture of George Michael again.  I had such a crush on him back then!  What memories!  :D

Why not just tell people I'm an alien from Mars? Tell them I eat live chickens and do a voodoo dance at midnight. They'll believe anything you say, because you're a reporter. But if I, Michael Jackson, were to say, "I'm an alien from Mars and I eat live chickens and do a voodoo dance at midnight," people would say, "Oh, man, that Michael Jackson is nuts. He's cracked up. You can't believe a single word that comes out of his mouth."

I'm sure there are a lot of people who enjoy these stories.  Some folks just love gossip and love to poke fun at other people.  Personally, I can't stand TMZ, although I must confess that it was nice to see that picture of George Michael.

A tabloid is a tabloid regardless the intentions. The hair style seems to be for both sexes, kind of "androgyne".
What news!!!! Hope next time they talk about toe nails  fresse/

They do this with a lot of celebrities so I don't think there is a clue there...also whether they are doing this just to get some satisfaction of a laugh is not surprising, tabloids don't have a heart and they don't just grow one, whether MJ is somehow involved with TMZ or not, it doesn't matter, they are still the media, they lie and deceive to sell stories.

Here's pop diva Janet Jackson at an amfAR event in Cannes on Thursday -- and music legend Prince at an awards show last year.

Unbeweaveable.

We're just sayin'.

Hi all, sorry to post on this thread at this time but I have been on vacation.

Yes, TMZ is poking fun at Janet. What you all have missed is the play on words. Noticed they said "unbeweaveable" and not "unbelieveable." What they are saying is that the head full of long flowing hair that Janet once had was a "weave," and just in case some of you may not know what a "weave" is, it is fake hair that is sewed into a person own hair to give them longer or a fuller head hair. How they can be so sure it was a weave is beyond me. But here again is a case of spreading rumors without knowing if it is true or not! But it's her head and she can put whatever she wants in it!

They probably used Prince's picture because of all the other celebs out there they feel she looks more like him now. Which is poking fun at her even further! But who cares what they feel, she's beautiful anyway you look at her, sideways, upside down, or cockeyed!!!

Personally, I see no difference in wearing a weave or wearing a wig. There are a lot of women out there doing one or the other, especially in the entertainment industry. And there have been many movie stars who had their on line of wigs! Heck, I've worn several weaves and wigs during my lifetime!

TMZ needs to quit it!!! They are scraping the bottom of the barrel now, and there's nothing at the bottom but SCUM! crash/  They need to start showing people some respect/ !!!!

Blessings,
OnTheWingsOfLove

and looking on the internet I found that is the title of a book

Date Reviewed:  Jul 26, 2010

Mariah Stevens has spent most of her career as a book reviewer for Spirit Magazine. The magazine is on a serious decline in sponsorships and advertisements, and the executives are threatening to close it down unless things change quickly. The problem is Mariah doesn’t believe anything will happen with the magazine as she plans to move up to editor-at-large, taking over the coveted position from the soon to retire Jasmine.

In UNBEWEAVEABLE, Mariah is so career driven she can’t see the handwriting on the wall about the closing of the magazine. She walks around swinging her weaved hair while continuing to belittle her staff and her maid because in her mind she is better, smarter and stronger than everyone becasue of her weave. Mariah will never give up her long hair weave, which makes her feel exceptionally beautiful and gives her incredible strength. Even after suffering the lost of her job, she continues to do all she can to keep her weave, which gives her power and gets ger attention with the constant admiration she receives. This kind of attention is something Mariah never got at home from her light-skinned mother, Beverly, who preferred her beautiful bi-racial sister. Beverly teaches Mariah to focus on her books since her looks will not get her anywhere.

Katrina Spencer shows how something as simple as putting your child down for her hair causes self-esteem issues. She demonstrates how harmful it is to make one child feel inept while focusing all your attention on another. UNBEWEAVEABLE shows how important something like hair can become your strength and power when you have nothing else like love and family.

Although the book started off slow, it soon picked up and I found myself enjoying it and rooting for this family to get themselves together. Spencer did a good job in bridging together how the length of hair can damage a person‘s relationships, self-esteem and attitude about others when it makes you feel inept. I enjoyed reading this book and recommend it to all, but especially those who rely on the length of their hair to make them feel fulfilled.
