I don't know enough about California law.  However, everything she says makes perfect sense.  I wonder how she got the documents.....can anyone just walk in and ask for them?  Odd....I will have to look into that  suspicious//
If what she says is true...it's great.  Michael, not the estate, still owns those properties.  I am sure the renovations are going well!

I don't like Pearl too much, but regardless this, if someone knows how this works, can you give me a helping hand in this?

I don't understand how these things work, I am not in US and I have no idea how this Insurance Policy works there. So basicly she says she has the documents in her hands that show what? I understand that the properties' owner is listed as Michael J. Jackson, still now. So after someone dies the property has to pass to someone you trust or to the Estate, which I know and understand. The deceased one can't be listed anymore as the owner of the property.


But what about the Insurance Policy? Can someone help please? What does it mean to have a paid policy or a not-paid policy and what's in Michael's case? And what do both cases mean? If I sound idiot sorry, but I have no idea about this kind of things and I want to understand.

If Michael died, and the property was listed with LaToya Jackson, don’t matter what the will says, she now owns half interest in it and Michael’s children owns half equally distributed  among each of them when they become of age held in trust, because they are his legal children and listed as his beneficiaries. If something happens to LaToya, God forbid, the children become sole owners.  The same for Michael’s catalogues.  What ever his interest in them, cannot be transferred to the estate, no matter who the will designates as estate agents.  Whatever Michael’s share becomes the property of his beneficiaries and cannot be touched.  The rest it appears that SONY owns.  If the estate EVER sells any portion of those shares belonging to them without their approval  (which they cannot get until they become of age) they have a viable lawsuit. TODs are ONLY advantageous when there is only ONE owner, at which time the Estate overseers can go to Probate and get a court order transferring ownership to them with the authority to handle it as they see fit.  If Michael “died", he was wise in that he obviously had a revocable trust with joint tenancy and beneficiary designations, meaning that even if he was sole owner, his property was owned under a trust.  The trust is comprised of all the names attached under his as his beneficiaries, and all property would be automatically be administered in the name of the trust allowing control to remain within the family.  The Estate managers can with the approval of the beneficiaries, their counsel, and guardian of minor children (who actually own it), make financial decisions, but they cannot do it without them.  That’s the good thing.  Surely Katherine and LaToya knows that by now. lolol/
