Michael Jackson Estate
Huge Financial Gains Revealed

9 minutes ago BY TMZ STAFF

New documents reveal ... Michael Jackson was in such debt at the time he died, his Beatles catalog was almost valueless, but the Estate has worked nothing less than a financial miracle to right the ship.

The docs -- obtained by TMZ -- show that at the time Michael died, his net worth was around $50 million.  Shockingly, the AT Publishing Trust -- the Beatles catalog -- was valued at only $474,544.  We're told the reason it was so low was because Jackson had borrowed around $300 million against it.

Now, fast forward to October, 2010 -- 15 months after MJ's death.  The net value of MJ's estate -- under the leadership of the Executors -- swelled to $218,964,000.  And get this ... that figure doesn't include $185 million the Estate paid out for loans, family allowances, interest, paying off the Havenhurst mortgage, etc.

There are no figures for the current value of the Estate, but sources say it's worth much more than the valuation in October, 2010.

Short story -- Michael could be entering Elvis territory.

Elvis connection again? MJ worth 50 million? What a joke! Talking to Bashir he said he had more than a billion, and in a 2009 media catch, MJ says good news doesn't sell, and that he had just signed a cheque for $500 million. So TMZ is setting the public up for something alright. Plus I'll bet MJ's money is invested in many millions all over the planet, especially in technologies, which will all come together for the BAM extravaganza! For hoax purposes everything Michael is being downplayed, to make the comeback a bigger shock! MJ is beyond genius!

Oh bull honkey!  What about that huge hotel he owns on that island?  What about the $900 Million in art he made?   What about HIS own music publishing?  Who knows how much Michael owns or how much he is worth?  They are just looking for ways to defame his Mother...and make HIM looks bad again.  They are still making money off Michael stories !

LOL, I call BS. They 'Beatles Catalogue' as everyone calls it, does not only include the Beatles, but many many many many many artists. That cataloque is worth much more, even with a loan against it of 300 million, which I do not even believe is the case.

Aside from that, there is property all over the world he owns, his own catalogue, and I bet there is much we don't even know. This story can NOT be true, because it makes no sense at all.

MJ at time of 'death' worth 50 million?

And Harve, back it up and show us the docs!

I just think of La Toya talking about how they (the Jackson kids) didn't really understand the value of money and the concept of saving but I ALSO remember Michael telling Bashir how he would get $200,000 checks in the mail, take some out for candy and save the rest :). I think MJ has been made out to be this frivolous spender. Not to mention the many lawsuits against him for some of the craziest reasons. I do believe that Michael plans ahead on EVERYTHING in his life. Yes, money included.

I don't believe this story either.
But the Estate is booming! All in time, Michael will be back for the people!
He loves us too much!  ::P

  • To die would be an awfully big adventure.
I don't believe this story. It's plain BS. But Elvis connection is out there again. And it is for sure that Michael entered Elvis territory with the hoax. Elvis is the first who faked his death.

This immediately reminded me what BACK said about this.

On the other hand, I wonder what's the purpose of TMZ by writing bullshit

Anna, nice find-- this is plainly and openly saying he is Michael, and that he's hidden the money in places even the smartest accountants will never find. Whoo-hoo!!

Just wanted to add that Trump said this and more below about MJ.   Finances is just another realm where MJ desired to learn from a master at making money--Donald Trump.  For the months MJ lived in Trump Tower, I'm sure he got a lot of good advice. On an aside, we had talked on another thread about Back saying he had lived at the intersection where the old Stardust was. Well I was watching the Bashir interview and when MJ went to his 7 floors in his hotel in Las Vegas, when the camera panned outside you could clearly see --Frontier, Stardust, (and the large pyramid hotel that Paris mentions seeing from the hotel rooftop).
Quote

Michael was reportedly millions of dollars in debt before he died, but despite that, Trump says he was business savvy. “He was actually a very, very smart businessman,” the billionaire told Larry King on Monday. “He’d come into my apartment and we’d talk a lot about business.”

After hard work on the movie sets, Elvis came back to the stage. This recording is from August, 24 1969 in Las Vegas. It's a great show, with Elvis in a good mood and high spirits.

On this night, he sang two original Beetle songs....Hey Jude, and Yesterday.........

Interesting coincidence don't you think ??

Nice one 2good2btrue!  Coincidence indeed.

I'm wondering when/if TMZ will say anything about Frank Dileo, their silence is most noted.
