'Michael Jackson drank Propofol moments before he died'

'Michael Jackson drank Propofol moments before he died': Shock new claim could turn Conrad Murray's trial upside down

Dr Conrad Murray's manslaughter trial is expected to get under way later this month.

But if a controversial new claim is to believed, prosecutors may have their work cut out in order to prove he is responsible for Michael Jackson's death.

According to a new report, the King Of Pop had become so addicted to the intravenous anaesthetic Propofol, that he drank it moments before his death.

The defence team for Dr Murray, 58, who was Jackson's personal physician, will make the disturbing claim during his televised trial, the UK's Daily Mirror reports.

Shocking: Dr Conrad Murray's defence team will claim Michael Jackson drank the intravenous drug Propofol

The Mirror says that an autopsy report confirmed that he had the injectable sedative, which he called his 'milk', inside of his stomach hours after he died.

A source close to the case went on to tell the paper: 'Conrad Murray’s team can’t understand how Propofol got into the stomach.

'It does not make sense unless Michael drank it. To them that will show the world how much of an addict he was. Michael was acting crazy in his last few hours, demanding drugs to help him sleep.

'He was always playing with the bottles, who knows what he did.'

Opening statements are scheduled to begin in the case the week of September 26, but there are already questions surrounding at least one key prosecution witness.

Pharmacist Tim Lopez, who claimed he sent large amounts of a powerful anaesthetic drug to Dr. Murray's girlfriend in the weeks before Jackson's death in June 2009, has left the U.S.

Lopez moved to Thailand, without telling the authorities and now prosecutors want to use his testimony at an earlier hearing as part of their involuntary manslaughter case against Dr Murray.

Potent: The anaesthetic Propofol is to be administered intravenously, but a new report claims Michael Jackson may have drank it

The unusual development was revealed last week in the Los Angeles courtroom of Judge Michael Pastor, who will make a decision about Lopez's testimony in the next few days.

Lopez's friends and family have either been unable or unwilling to shed light on his disappearance, according to the website TMZ.

Lopez had testified in January that Dr Murray bought 255 vials of Propofol in the three months before the singer died from a lethal combination of the drug and other sedatives.

Dr Conrad Murray purchased four shipments between April 6 and June 10, 2009 said Lopez, owner of Applied Pharmacy Services in Las Vegas, where Murray has a clinic.

Murray bought 130 vials of Propofol in 100 millilitre doses and another 125 vials in the smaller dose of 20 millilitres, said Lopez.

A coroner's investigator previously testified that 12 vials of Propofol were found in the bedroom and closet of the singer's rented mansion after his death.

Lopez said Murray asked him to ship some of the Propofol to an address in Santa Monica. The address belongs to the doctor's girlfriend, although Lopez testified that Murray told him it was one of his clinics.

Murray also bought other sedatives from Lopez, according to the testimony.

What really happened?: Michael Jackson was found dead on June 25, 2009

Murray's legal team filed documents earlier this month, asking the judge to make an order to keep the jury in isolation during the trial over fears they could be influenced by media coverage, in particular by the views of opinionated TV pundits.

But the judge said that those who serve on the involuntary manslaughter trial will already be making tremendous sacrifices - and locking them up would be cruel.

He said studies have shown that sequestered jurors often describe themselves as feeling like inmates.

'Jurors have lives,' Pastor said. 'We remove them from their lives in these horrific economic times.'

Pastor said he was confident that jurors would follow his instructions to avoid exposure to publicity, but he rebuffed a defence argument to rescind a decision to televise the trial.

Defence attorney Ed Chernoff said the television coverage would feed an army of commentators who would supply their own interpretation of what went on in court.

Chernoff, referring to widespread media coverage of the Casey Anthony trial, called the commentary 'a problem'.

The doctor could face up to four years in prison if convicted.

I would need to find and read again the AR, but what I remember is that what was found in the stomach was a dark fluid and left overs of some pills.

Do any of ou remember that?

the way it keeps getting suggested that sequestering the jury would be cruel tends to make me think there is some point trying to be made from it. :-\  it always makes my mind go to where they showed that michael would be put if found guilty. don't know why just the way my mind works i guess. lolol/
or maybe it is a comparison to the way michael had to live his life , sort of imprisoned by his own fame.  ;)

which sort brings me to that crazy place i go back to time and again.

Why not just tell people I'm an alien from Mars? Tell them I eat live chickens and do a voodoo dance at midnight. They'll believe anything you say, because you're a reporter. But if I, Michael Jackson, were to say, "I'm an alien from Mars and I eat live chickens and do a voodoo dance at midnight," people would say, "Oh, man, that Michael Jackson is nuts. He's cracked up. You can't believe a single word that comes out of his mouth."

Found propofol in his stomach hours after he died? So is that why it was Demerol that 'killed' him until a few weeks later and they decided they prefered propofol - make your mind up.

Ehm.... it has already been said that you can't drink Propofol... well it's not impossible but you would throw up and it would not cause this fatal reaction. So why do they keep saying it?

BTW: does anyone else find it really strange that the trial will be televised? The 2005 wasn't being televised, there were no camera's allowed...

I don't find it strange. If we think that this is a real life Thriller, a movie, the Greatest Show on earth, I do believe that it has to be televised for the world to witness it.

I've read that it's being televised in the US, but what about the rest of the world?  Any ideas if and how the rest of us are going to be able to access the coverage?

Yes, then it ain't strange... but what if you don't believe in the hoax? Isn't it strange then? I really start to believe this trial will be the Greatest show on earth, because this is the final part... the last thing that will happen...

This trial will be televised because we'll all be witnesses of what really happens
Exactly, in 2005 we were 'informed' by the media and now we can watch the trial live with our own eyes, get direct information and we'll be the judge individually /judge/ . A lot less media influence  ;D

No one can make me believe that Michaerl was so out of his mind that he would entertain the idea of taking a drug that says straight out on the label for intravenious use only.  Michael loves his children.  No matter how down and out they are telling us he was, he would not do anything to possibly take him out of his children’s lives.  Even if I weren’t a true fan, or  believer, that much I would just know.  I hope the jury can think on their own and not allow them to spoonfeed this ignorance.

In all this drinking propofol story, is it mentioned anywhere that there was vomit on his person?  Did the autopsy report with all of its detailing say ahywhere that his throat showed signs of being burned or irritated?  I cannot find my copy but I don’t remember that being a part of the results.  Since Conrad was “only a few feet away” has he ever said that he heard Michael coughing or gagging as he surely would have been doing?  This is total in the face bullshit.  Even if they in their own sweet way prove to their satisfaction that he did it, it still will not convince me.   I certainly hope that some of those jurors are taking notes before the trial.  I hope they are reading this forum! I’m just saying… don’t go in there totally ignorant to what’s going on.

This story is so funny, how can people believe in it? IDK
hesouttamylife here is what i could find in the AR regarding throat.
And the funniest thing is that Michael supposedly first drank Lidocaine, you know so that it won't hurt and only after that he drank Propofol. Good one Michael, still can't stop laughing every time i hear this story!

Thank you Kristina  /bravo/  Do they think they are dealing with a bunch of ignorant fools?  IN THE STOMACH IS .13 MG OF PROPOFOL.  If this were real, I would be more apt to believe that Conrad tried to pour a little bit down his throat, unsuccessfully.  They’d better ask somebody  lolol/ Please

  So right RK.

By the way drinking propofol it burns your vocal cords, and why would he want to have his vocal cords burned.. It also perforates the intestines.. This was explained by my doctor friend.. So in the autopsy did Michael have perforated intestines? No La Toya said he had so much fluid in his stomach enough to kill an elephant... My doctor friend laughed his head off.. They should know their facts before talking to the public..  lolol/

This is so insulting..
drinking Propofol??
anybody with a pinch of intellect following this 'case' can see its all a fraud/hoax.
Just read the AR and see all the errors and contradictions between the AR and statements on what happened by the paramedics, etc.
Everything that has come to light about what Murry did or did not do is a slap in the face to anyone in the healthcare field. I am working on getting my RN and planning to become a CRNA. Healthcare professionals have a code of ethics do no harm, protect the patient. So reading these stories are sickening.
I just HATE  how they are trying to sell the idea that MJ committed suicide in such an impossible and ridiculous manner. I mean if MJ was sooo depressed and stressed out why try to fall asleep for 9 hours that morning of june 25 so he could get up and go to work the next afternoon then say at 10 am.."oh to hell with it i'm done i'll kill myself"?
Why go through all of that? He could have thrown himself down the steps or taken one of the bodyguards guns and put one through his temple..or hell, the good ole slit his writsts.
I think MJ is trying to make a point about the corruption in the medical field because there is no way all of this madness is real..
as Michael said, "you've got many doctors that aren't so sure"
truly Michael..i can imagine how you have been burned over the years by "doctors" who aren't so sure.

The media is being fooled this time around...and they are the ones gobbling up all the do-do lol...hook, line and sinker.  They are being played (and beaten) at their own game....right in front of our eyes.  That's one 'layer'.

Another (deeper) 'layer' could be that Mike 'symbolically' went to sleep on June 25th, 2009 (and maybe needed a sleeping bag  ).  The world was snoring--and loudly--pre-June 25th...while Mike got no sleep at all.  The alarm clock went off on June 25th...for US.

Gives RIP a whole new meaning  ;)

I cannot wait until they re-visit the fact that Murray wanted to leave UCLA, go back to the house to retrieve this “embarrassing cream” because if they are thinking logically, this will blow this drank propofol theory to hell. /cook/  It was no cream that was embarrassing to MJ that Murray wanted to get but the lidocaine that Blount testified he saw Murray picking up.  What’s interesting to me is that Blount said that Lidocane was used for the heart.  I thought in fact that Lidocaine was an anesthesic ointment that prepared the skin for the propofol injections because they are painful.  I think this is the cream Murray wanted to get back to remove when he left UCLA.  Not any vitiligo cream.  Not that MJ didn’t want anyone to know he “uses” it, but to cover Murray’s own ass for having used 3 tubes of it (obviously recently) indicating that he was loading Michael up with propofol.  If they found 3 tubes that would certainly suggest he’d injected him with more that the 25 ml he indicates he gave him. That would have to be the most incriminating piece of evidence  in the whole case to blow this Michael drank propofol theory out of the water.  I wonder will they go back to that scenario again.    /cook/
