Dr. Conrad Murray's attorney Ed Chernoff cited a TMZ story this morning during his cross-examination of LAPD Detective Scott Smith -- a story about how Murray screwed himself over by talking to police.

In the story "Jackson Doc Talks Himself into a Corner" -- published on July 16th, 2009 -- we reported Murray raised red flags with the LAPD during his infamous 2-hour police interview ... after making several incriminating disclosures about his involvement in MJ's death.

Chernoff started referring to numerous stories with "anonymous law enforcement sources" -- but prosecutor David Walgren quickly objected ... and Judge Pastor sustained.

That reminds me of Michael who always was open about his relationships with kids and in the Bashir documentary he openly said on camera he slept with children in his bed. He was comfortable revealing that because he didn't do anything wrong with them and that sealed his faith in the sense that he faced major charges and trail but in the end was acquitted. Now Murray gave cops an interview that sealed his faith in the sense he is facing major charges against him and he is facing trial but in the end he was.... to be followed...    Weird!!

Being so used to hear about TMZ in the last 2 years, I wasn't even surprised.

Sorry, can't find anything on the new site. Anyway - in Murray's statement to the police he says Michael was at his worse "on set" after coming from Dr Klein's office.  On set? Not at rehearsals?
