Re: Islam Existed Before Muhammad Was Born

Hello Everyone.  Interesting info.  Thanks.

Because of Malcolm X, I named my daughter Mecca - mostly because I like the name.  I was thinking about Medina but Mecca won the day.  She is a wonderful young lady, sweet, bright and caring.  Needless to say, I would lay down my life for her.

I found the below piece interesting.

I know that was MJ's laugh at the end of Jae-R & O-Bee's song "A Toast." If it wasn't MJ's, it was Omer's, and he sounds just like MJ.  The beginning of the laugh, when this machine gun sounding laugh happens, it reminds me of MJ's laugh on the Brotherly Fun video when Tito told Marlon that if he kept riding his Moped the way he did, he was going to fly right over a mountain.  Little Mikey cracked up at that and made that sound. lolol/

Maybe it's just me, but that was MJ's idea.  A Toast to continue commencing the HOAX.  I love the gulping sound of the drink being poured into a glass (more like a foot tub).  It is really something else.  There is a video with the lyrics - and one lyric has that Dr. O cut a throat (and I got the anecdote - hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm - like BAM) - or something along those lines.  So we have DOC Murray - DOC X & DOC O.  Wowser.

I also wonder if Jae-R & O-Bee's song "Under Pressure" was written by MJ.  The song refers to them keeping somebody Under Pressure.  No one can do it like Michael Jackson.  Those two (Jae-R & O-Bee) have a good flow and clean rapping ability.

Chris Tucker was the Master of Ceremonies.  Lol  "Throw down for the peoplez."

By the way, Diana's Ross's last Official Tour was titled - This Is It.  Then she came back with her "Blue" CD (probably was feeling blue with the trial) with the cover pic of her looking just like MJ's Invincible cover pic.  That same year, "I Love You" was released.  Bless her heart.  She probably went thru hell praying for MJ during the trial - and on verdict day - my God!  I bet she could hardly breathe.

Happy week everyone, and cheers.  A Toast - to you.

I didn't read the entire links you gave but I'm a Muslim myself and the title you made is definitely NOT true. Nation of Islam call themselves Muslims but I don't really understand why. They believe a book they wrote themselves, they do not believe Quran. They have their own rules and they believe their own prophet. Islam was born with Muhammad and this is what is believed in Islam.

I was born into a Christian family, but it was never forced on me by my parents. I find it better when children aren't told only one side of the story just so they are more likely to find their own individual path. I'm going to start reading the Qur'an pretty soon after I finish my current book. I've been very curious about it for awhile so I can't wait.

i have gained a curiosity about the Qur'an also since (virtually)  meeting muslims here in the forum. i have thought that i might begin to read it . i think it would be wise to have the same knowledge of it that i have with the bible ( in as not to allow anyone else to interprete for me what it says) but i have to wonder if it has been translated , how do i know that is what it really said to begin with? :?

Why not just tell people I'm an alien from Mars? Tell them I eat live chickens and do a voodoo dance at midnight. They'll believe anything you say, because you're a reporter. But if I, Michael Jackson, were to say, "I'm an alien from Mars and I eat live chickens and do a voodoo dance at midnight," people would say, "Oh, man, that Michael Jackson is nuts. He's cracked up. You can't believe a single word that comes out of his mouth."

I have the Qur'an A Guide and Mercy, Translated by Abdullah Yusuf Ali. I did some research before getting it and it says its the most popular translation with English speaking Muslims in the world and is the most reliable. Off topic, I'm also going to read what is said to be the most accurate book of the Buddha's teachings from the Pali Canon (since the Buddha never wrote his teachings down) by Bhikkhu Bodhi. Out of all religions, I find Buddhism to be the most natural for me because it says that God is inward not outward and that if you seek the Buddha, you are the Buddha :). I have read both Old and New Testaments and would like to read the Torah and about the Hindu Gods, and the Bahai Faith is beautiful, too. I think thats where MJ got the words "turn our swords into plowshares" which was said by Baha'u'llah, the leader of Bahai Faith (which believes in the unity of all religions and people). Currently, I'm reading a book about Sioux Indian culture and religion. I have a lot to read   but I find it so important to know things for yourself before any judgement is made. The people and the research on this site have really strengthened that belief of mine, too.

I'm a Muslim myself but I'm interested in all religions. I read some Bible too and I found out that they're actually similar at some points. There're some basic things which are the same like, we both believe in God, his angels and his prophets. Here is what I found on a web-page about the differences btw Islam and Christianity. Maybe this helps you to learn some about Islam. Blessings to you all. :)

-Christians believe in the Trinity; Muslims believe God is indivisible.

-Christians believe that as a member of the Trinity, Jesus is the Son of God. Muslims believe that Jesus was conceived by an act of God and though not the Son of God, is like Muhammad, a highly respected Prophet.

-Christians believe Adam is guilty of disobeying God and that we all bear this Original Sin when we are born. We can be saved from this, and other sins, through accepting Jesus Christ's atonement. Christians believe that Jesus was crucified on a cross to atone for man's sins. Muslims believe Adam was faultless (some refer to him as a Prophet). They believe Jesus did not die on the cross and consequently there is no atonement. Muslims believe that each person is born sin-less and must take responsibility for maintaining this state throughout life.

-Christians believe that when we die, we are immediately judged and sent to heaven or hell (or Purgatory in the Catholic faith, where Christian souls can do penance to prepare for heaven and non-Christians can languish until the final Judgment Day). Muslims believe in barzakh, an interim afterlife similar to Purgatory, where spirits wait Judgment Day.

-Many Bible stories are repeated in the Qur'an but some of the details differ. Not all of these differences can be explained by translation errors.

-Christians have a more relaxed view about what foods may be eaten. Muslims, being conscious that God created man, consider it wrong to defile such a creation with certain food and drink. Muslims may not, for example, eat pork or drink alcohol.

-It is mandatory for Muslims to face Mecca and recite a prescribed liturgy (salat) at five specific times every day. Christians have no such obligation.

As I was flipping thru the pages of the Qur'an, I was thinking 'this is so similar to the Bible. I don't see HATE in this book. I will definitely read it to get a better understanding, it sounds like a truly beautiful religion. I hate the horrors I see in the Middle East and pray for those people, ecspecially those beautiful children who can't understand why they are hated :(.

Why would there be HATE in Quran? It is all about love. It teaches how to love and share. I know that, it is what you were asked to believe about Islam. The terrorists are Muslims, they start the wars always but this is actually what they want you to believe and accept. To create the Christian and Muslim war. And unfortunately I do believe the NWO and illuminati has a huge role in the war going on in Middle East right now. They're using poor people for their own benefit and do not care how many innocent people die. That is Pure Evil and has nothing to do with Islam.

Are you an American? Because in the USA, a large population believe that the Muslim religion is evil. I am not a racist or a bigot of any nature, so I've never bought into that. I have known vaguely about the Muslim faith before 9/11 (I was about 13 around 9/11/2001) and couldn't understand why all of a sudden it was the most hated religion in the world (according to US Govmt and Society). But Christian radicals and Muslim radicals are one in the same, there is no difference. Christian extremism has proven to be much more dangerous throughout history than any other religion by far. You should watch a docu called Jesus Camp and you may become a little worried what they teach our children.  afraid/ Not all Christians, I am referring to radicals so please no one take offense to this.

from what i have gathered just from conversation with muslims here that there seem to be certain, i guess you would call them harmonies of the bible and Qur'an . that being why i wouldn't mind looking into it a tad more deeply.

Because in the USA, a large population believe that the Muslim religion is evil.

Yep, that's what I meant in my previous post. They want you to believe that all Muslims are evil, cruel terrorists who kill innocent people. There're of course pure evil Muslims but I do not believe this has something to do with religion. There are evil born people from all religions, and all races. We can't classify people according to their religions. Hope I didn't offend you with my post. I was trying to explain how hard the US Government is trying to  put Islam in a bad light and show them all evil.

Let me know if you can understand this video please! This is what you see a lot in the US. In this video, there are two types of McCain supporters: Muslim and Christian. It makes me feel sick to my stomach when I see this type of bigoted ignorant blind hatred.
Oh, and I didn't take any offense to your post :D I have felt this way for a long time about many of my own country men. I wish they would wake up, but the whole world has their problems :( but I see USA as a successful country with many blessings, and yet most will continue to selfishly keep it all for themselves. I can't live that way!

Christians have no such obligation.

from what i have gathered just from conversation with muslims here that there seem to be certain, i guess you would call them harmonies of the bible and Qur'an . that being why i wouldn't mind looking into it a tad more deeply.
