Hi Everyone!

I am "beaming" in the latest uploaded/published videos from Doug @ The MicHEAL Project on YT (aka TMP).  They feature an inside look at the behind-the-scenes of the film that Michael was famously "beamed" into as Agent M.J., Miss Cast Away and the Island Girls (2004).  Please note that Doug uploaded these vids a full day (4/14/2012) BEFORE Tupac "beamed" into Coachella (4/15/2012)! Hmmm...

Andrea

Great videos, thanks for posting!

And  :icon_lol: :icon_lol: at Michael's "that's a wrap" at the end of the last video.

I saw Miss Castaway for the first time a few months ago, I actually saw it in a store so I snatched it up.  It was hilarious, very hokey but also VERY hoaxy!!  I took notes at the time, lol, but I have no idea where they are, I'm pretty sure I posted my thoughts on a thread in here somewhere too.  It's definitely a movie to see if you haven't already!

Hey! Thank You for posting Scotty!  :)
You are ABSOLUTELY right, as usual Doug (@Dmovie27) timing was just impeccable! But again this should not be a surprise to believers!  :icon_lol: :icon_lol:

The Island theme has been around for a while now and I think there is much more in this "BAD" movie than just a "BAD" movie! Why would Michael accept to be part of such a movie when we know how meticulous he is with his own productions?

Bryan Michael Stoller, the film director also directed the famous parody of the 1980s Pepsi commercial which features Michael. The parody, The Shadow of Michael, caught Michael's attention and he telephoned Stoller, a phone-call which launched a twenty-year friendship. Michael may possibly have wanted to show support to his friend, and INDEPENDENT Canadian Film maker, by taking part in the film but is it really it?

The film is a comedy that spoofs movies and television programs like Miss Congeniality, Planet of the Apes, Cast Away, Love Boat, Gilligan's Island, The Sixth Sense, Jurassic Park, Men in Black and more. Michael plays the role of Agent MJ. Michael's scenes were shot at his Neverland Ranch home. It is interesting that Michael's scenes were filmed in Neverland, Agent MJ was literally BEAMED into the film! Hmmm! And Agent MJ spoke his wisdom through his hologram: "The World is depending on You, I am depending on You"!
Maybe this is the same island Lindsay Lohan will be flying to, to ESCAPE THE GAME?

And Just to add that the 4/14 was a very interesting date in its own right! The 4/14/1982 was the start of the recording of THRILLER 30 Years ago! The first song to be recorded was the GIRL IS MINE with Paul McCartney.... And guess what Paul released the video for "MY VALENTINE" on 4/14/2012 exactly 30 years later!  And The 2 actors featured in the video are Natalie Portman and Johnny Depp...... Do I need to say more!  :icon_e_surprised: :woohoo2:

"Let us dream of tomorrow where
we can truly love from the soul, and
know love as the ultimate truth at
the heart of all creation."

Hi Andrea and TheRunningGirl, and thankyou kindly for your replies.

As Doug (Dmovie27) suggests, there might be more to this little "B" movie than meets the eye!

Andrea ~ I have not seen this film yet, but hope to very soon!

TheRunningGirl ~ Nice little Claudia Schiffer thing going on there!  You used to be married to David Copperfield the magician, didn't you?  Did he share any magical secrets with you? :)) 'Cos you always have such magical information to share!  Very interesting research.

Miss Cast Away and the Island Girls was due to be released in theaters in the summer of 2004, but Jackson's legal problems during that time made the movie's distributors wary of releasing the movie. Director Stoller explained in a news release: 'We've sort of had to put things on hold.  It's a shame because Jackson has an amazing vision.'  The movie release date was also put in doubt due to worries of executives at 20th Century Fox that the title was too close to Tom Hanks' hit film Cast Away.

The film was shown in three film festivals during 2004, was shown on television in Russia in 2005, and was finally released to DVD in the United States in July 2005.

In July 2011, it was announced in a press release that the film will have its world premiere on My Family TV, Retro Television Network and Tuff TV in Fall 2011, followed by a special limited DVD release featuring 20 minutes of unreleased footage of Jackson's involvement in the film.  Curiously, the press release did not mention the film by name, only that it was described falsely as 'Michael Jackson's last movie' (while this film was Jackson's last scripted appearance, his actual last movie was his concert film, Michael Jackson's This Is It, in 2009).  The press release only gave away the fact that it was Miss Cast Away and the Island Girls by its description:  'The film is a comedy that spoofs movies and television programs like Miss Congeniality, Planet of the Apes, Cast Away, Love Boat, Gilligan's Island, The Sixth Sense, Jurassic Park, Men in Black and more.  Michael Jackson plays the role of Agent MJ.  Jackson's scenes were shot at his Neverland Ranch home.

I'm wondering if anybody knows if these network tv premieres/dvd re-releases ever happened?  Here is the main part of the press release:

ValCom Taps Into Hidden Library Treasure With Michael Jackson's Last Film

CLEARWATER, Fla., July 27, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- As part of its ongoing strategy to monetize content from its film and audio library, ValCom, Inc. (VLCO.PK) announced today that it will be releasing Michael Jackson's last movie on Broadcast TV and DVD.

The movie will be broadcast to over 300 television stations this fall through the My Family TV, Retro TV, and TUFF TV television networks.  ValCom will be announcing the broadcast date for the movie in the near future.  In addition, ValCom will be releasing a special run of 10,000 limited edition DVDs that will be sold directly to the public.

'This is a golden opportunity for ValCom!  Michael Jackson is the number-one selling artist of all time with millions of fans around the world,' stated Vince Vellardita, President and CEO of ValCom.  'We're providing the chance for people to own rare and unreleased footage of Michael Jackson behind the scenes and at Neverland Ranch.'

The film is a comedy that spoofs movies and television programs like Miss Congeniality, Planet of the Apes, Cast Away, Love Boat, Gilligan's Island, The Sixth Sense, Jurassic Park, Men in Black and more.  Michael Jackson plays the role of Agent MJ.  Jackson's scenes were shot at his Neverland Ranch home.  The DVD includes 20 minutes of unreleased, never before seen Michael Jackson footage, not limited to interviews of the world's greatest entertainer.

Michael Jackson, one of the most widely beloved entertainers and profoundly influential artists of all time, leaves an indelible imprint on popular music and culture.  Five of Jackson's solo albums - 'Off the Wall,' 'Thriller,' 'Bad,' 'Dangerous' and 'HIStory,' are among the top sellers of all time, and 'Thriller' holds the distinction as the largest selling album worldwide in the history of the recording industry with more than 70 million units sold.  Additionally, singles released from the 'Thriller' album sold more than 100 million copies worldwide, another all time record.

During his extraordinary career, he sold an estimated 750 million records worldwide, released 13 No. 1 singles and became one of a handful of artists to be inducted twice into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.  The Guinness Book of World Records recognized Jackson as the Most Successful Entertainer of All Time and 'Thriller' as the Biggest Selling Album of All Time.  Jackson won 13 Grammy Awards and received the American Music Award's Artist of the Century Award.
