You know what's funny about all of this?
Michael always asked "What happened to the wonderment in the world?"
and now all of a sudden, everyone (even conglomerate companies, cough* Sony) are speaking so mysteriously..
I think Michael is doing a little bit of marketing here

It could mean a number of thing's, including Michael marketing himself or Sony taking advantage of his passing financially.

The latter is more convincing to me but whatever the truth is, I don't think it's far from being broadcast.

This is a major global company, the company is bigger than any one person, and they would not risk the potential of being sued for fraud.

Just one thing I've noticed (I didn't want to create another thread for this):
At the sonymusic.com page, Michael's picture is displayed amongst all the other artists in a slideshow. If you didn't know he was dead, you would think he's just another artist at Sony. And when you click at his picture, it leads you to his website, where various awards and positive news are listed.
