neverland vs. Carolwood mailbox
December 26, 2014, 04:16:43 PM
I'm not sure how much of this has been talked about on here or if it has been talked about at all but I find this interesting and wondering about the ownership of Carolwood.

Here is a pic of the original mailbox from Neverland that went to auction back in 2009:

Here is the original mailbox at Carolwood that a tour bus backed into and it was sold at auction in 2011:

Now here is the mailbox that is currently at Carolwood (this replaced the mailbox that got hit in 2010):

Now here is where it gets interesting. The mailbox from Neverland is the same mailbox that is currently at Carolwood!!!!!!!

I took the pic of the Carolwood mailbox when I was there in 2012. I have marked all of the areas that are the same. The only difference is that the original Neverland mailbox is framed in white.

How could this be the same mailbox? Out of thousands of mailboxes to pick from, the owner of Carolwood just happens to replace a knocked down mailbox with one that looks just like the one from Neverland? The Neverland mailbox was auctioned in 2009 and the new look-a-alike mailbox was placed at Carolwood in 2010.

Coincidence, or is there more to this?

Love you Michael!

That is a little interesting, doesn't seem to be a very common mailbox. I don't know what the significance would be though.

Thanks for the link to the mailboxes!

It looks like not only do they have decorative mailboxes but plain ones as well which just made me think of something.

Why not just order the same mailbox that was knocked down?

And Carolwood had not been sold to its new owners yet in 2010 that happened in 2012.

Just for the kicks of it, I googled ownership just now and Carolwood sold last October. I had no idea it was up for sale again.

I decided to see if other realty sites had this information as well, but I can't find any that do.

I did however run across something odd. Not sure if I had seen this before and didn't think anything of it or I never saw it.

Carolwood is actually a business that was formed in Sept. of 2012 - right before it was sold in November.

The seller was 100 N Carolwood Dr Llc

I looked it up on the CA secretary of state site:

Entity Name: 100 N. CAROLWOOD DR. LLC
Entity Number: 201226810087
Date Filed: 09/21/2012
Status: ACTIVE
Jurisdiction: CALIFORNIA
Entity Address: 8680 HAYDEN PL
Entity City, State, Zip: CULVER CITY CA 90232
Agent for Service of Process: NORMA ARREOLA
Agent Address: 419 N CHALBURN AVE
Agent City, State, Zip: WEST COVINA CA 91790

Maybe it has to do with the house being in a Trust from the previous owners, but why was it only formed right before the house sold?
