IINSOMNIA
January 15, 2010, 01:45:54 PM
I am just wondering if MJ really did suffer with insomnia? Also I wonder if he really sought medical experts in the field of sleep disorders? I understand he turned to doctors but I am just curious if he has ever sought help with sleep disorders specialist? I am still not over him and never will be until this whole thing is solved.

I know I'm starting to have serious insomnia due to all the MJ questions I have which has to be about 10% of what MJ dealt with every day so I believe he would have to have trouble sleeping.

Im also at a loss as to why a cardiologist was chosen to treat Michaels chronic insomnia, if that is indeed  what Dr Murrays purpose was. It doesn't make sense. Insomnia can be associated with other medical conditions. There's  condition known as congestive heart failure (the heart doesn't actually stop its but its is not strong enough to pump blood efficiently around the body), this condition can produce insomnia. I'm just trying to find a a connection between cardiac disorders and insomnia, if any.

Me too. I feel that we need to research this a bit more as it may shed light on some issues pertaining to MJ's insomnia? I mean that is why I brought up the point of a cardiologist treating a patien't insomnia? MJ had access I am sure to sleep specialist all over the world (and if he indeed suffered with insomnia, which I am sure he did) Why Murray? Remember Cheryl the nurse stating that she was asked by MJ for propofol? DOesn't make any sense. She gave an interview(don't know if any of u have saw it) where she said MJ told her that he was having trouble sleeping right? Ok i am assuming that your diet could have an effect on your sleep pattern? THe nurse claimed that MJ drank a lot of caffeine before bedtime, she even sat in his room overnight for a bit just to watch him sleep . SHe gave him various herbal teas? But she said after a few hours he would wake up frustrated. OK my thing is? Cardiologist do not treat sleep disorders so.....who does? WHat type of doctor general practioner? Certainly not a nutritionist right? Besides the point I am just trying to figure out (which makes me feel the hoax is valid) is why on earth would MJ choose Murray without trying to seek out the help of doctors trained in this are of sleep disorders? :?

His Lupus is believed to be the cause of the insomnia.  Many Dr.'s who have talked about symptoms of Lupus have discussed this issue.  I don't remember the percentage of Lupus patients that experience insomnia but it is greater than 50 percent I am sure.

Sometimes I wonder how much he actually did sleep anyways by this one quote from an interview with Chuck Dakota in summer of 2008, from the Prince website.

CD: Michael give me a typical day in your life?

MJ: Well.. It's very boring.. (laughter).. After i visit with the aliens (laughter) don't air that..I can see them writing that story now.... (laughter) ...I start the day around 6:30 or 7.. Take a shower, get my children up and we have breakfast... I fix them what they want and then I'll have a meeting or read while the children play and then it's about lunch time and we eat and spend the afternoon maybe playing a game or watching TV or a video and i get them ready for dinner and at night we might stay up late to go shopping or something fun for the children. I tuck them in, read them a story, and then I spend the rest of the night catching up on mail and stuff like that. Just a typical dad.

Michael did have insomnia, he hardly slept he;s had it for years even in the bad era, but thats not why he had murray, Murray was hired to look after him and make sure he was healthy, he wasn;t hired to treat his insomnia, he was hired as a doctor who would live with him and make sure he was okay , and to make sure he was eating right and taking the right vitamins. Personally i think he's a piece of shit, what kind of cardiologist takes care of a patient and doesn;t have a heart defibrillator, even my school has one, that's quite pathetic and what doctor does CPR on a bed , i took a ONE year course that lasted 2 months for CPR cause i worked in a hospital as a student and i had to learn it and they taught us NEVER do CPR on a bed it has to be a flat surface , this guy MUST have years worth of CPR training since any professional must update their CPR training EVERY year, yet he was fucking stupid to do CPR on a bed, get real this man is a fake he aint no fucking doctor, I'm only turning 20 and i know more about this shit then he does and i'm not even in training or anything.

I know that Murray wasn't hired to directly treat Michaels insomnia and he was more so needed to make sure that he was healthy. Michael said so himself that the success of TII relied on his body. Randy Philips quoted Michael as saying: "Look, this whole business revolves around me. I'm a machine, and we have to keep the machine well-oiled." From my understanding Murray is also a general practitioner  , put aside the fact that he specialises in cardiology for a sec, if you look at it that way then it doesn't seen so strange. In the UK consultants can switch between general practice (GP) and their own specialism, if any, is this system this the same in the USA? As Michaels GP, Murray should have referred Michael to a sleep specialist unless he thought the problem didn't not require a specialist in this area. If Murray had refused to give Michael propofol would he have been fired- i wonder?

I think the whole point of Murray's specialty (cardiologist) and the fact he was hired for completely different reasons was done on purpose...to make us confused, to make us ask questions. I think MJ is testing us in a way...to see if we believe what the media says happened to him.
MJ is a smart guy and I seriously do not think that ANYONE would hire a cardiologist to look after your overall health....thats what a general practitioner is for.
Who seriously would think of turning to a heart doctor for general health issues?

That would be like going to the gynocologist for a heart murmur...cmon!!
