Dang! MJ had the hots for her!!! WOw That is soooo funny she would tell that story. No wonder when she was on Larry King she kept smiling and laughing. Why would he want to take her with him to the shows? Well because he had the hots for her. If Michael wasn't getting any, I would think anything would start looking like a possibility after a while.  She in the kitchen throwing stuff in the blender, the motors purring, and his imagination going boing, boing, boink :lol:   I hope she didn't think she was the only one who was turning his head.  Sorry Kai.  You were just another tempting dish on the menu in the restaurant that he passed up.  I hardly think Michael would have taken that liberty with the help.

OK am I just crazy or....... during the Larry King interview Kai stated what happened to MJ during June 25th? I do see that she was unusually happy! i mean smiling, like she was doing a cover girl commercial or something. :roll:  Anywayss wasn't there an interview that Kai did with Access Hollywood where she state "We prayed for MJ to be alright.......and he was alright" Am I wrong. Because I am going to tell you guys something. Her stories conflict of course but also she was just waaaaaay to happy on Larry king!!! Just like Jermaine was waaaaaaaaaay to happy on Larry King!

I thought she seemed happy because she was there promoting her new cookbook.

If she works in Hospitality ,she is an actress ,I am a Captain for a catering CO I have waited on and supervised private functions for a lot of country music stars .And you have to be somewhat of an actress in this BIz . So it would probably be easy for her to act .People can be rude as hell ,but you got to keep that smile ,and make sure your eyes and facial expressions don't give away that you may feel annoyed  or pressured . It takes practice, but I am way different at work than I am outside of work .

As far as SHE is concerned, I didnt see her on LKL but what I have seen of her, she does seem a little nonchalant about the whole thing....as everyone else does too.
This is Michael Jackson we are talking about here...........I dont recall ANYONE showing any kind of severe grief at the thought of his death...people that SHOULD have broken down in uncontrollable sadness while being interviewed...

Rebranding? Then why go thru the hassle of planning everything? The memorial? The burial? Why wouldnt MJ just re-work and re-emerge out of hiding and make a statement as such?
"I, Michael Jackson, no longer wish to be known as the king of pop. It will forever be my legacy, but I am embarking on newer and bigger projects and plan on re-inventing myself...stay tuned.."

Something like that? Having someone "die" to rebrand themsleves seems a little extreme to me.

MJ is a "pioneer". "Dying" is an original way to renew MJ's image in the world of entertainment. Prince changed his name to release his records (I believe Prince had record company problems so it was a way of getting his work out). MJ is doing something that has not been done before. At least I hope this is the case.

I agree that dying seems extreme.  I'm just trying to think outside the box because I know his death was staged, but I can't understand what went on exactly.  I suppose that Michael Jackson was not selling as early as 1999, 2000??  I don't have the facts or figures, I am just surmising.  The man obviously  knows everything there is to know about marketing and the entertainment business.  He tried everything.  So he promised fans their favourite songs (02 conference) and one last show (TII).  
Joe Jackson said that the king of pop had to be celebrated in a special way (little groups of light, the Memorial).  Do you think Joe Jackson dreamed this up himself??  Come on. Do you think Katherine dreamed up the  memorial and the burial? No way.  There are too many symbols, too many clues for the people that know Michael.
I don't know....I am just trying to think at his level.

death is not rebranding. its the death nail in your career. its the end it is not the start.

he fought hard to be known as the king of pop, why would he want to lose that, money can't buy that branding achievement.

a direction change could have been done at any time he had time since 2006 when he was moving around, but from what i can see he was looking at new music.

there was so much he could have done, i would have loved a lego ps3 thriller game, so cool that would have been.
