CNN/UCLA statement?!
January 20, 2010, 08:45:44 PM
I'm aware that this is an old video and there's an interview with Sheryl crow in the beginning but around 1:44 they say they have an official statement from UCLA about Michael's death! I thouhgt there wasn't an official statement from them or is it just Jermanine's statement?! Please can someone inform me  :?

I have no idea how this works. I dont know if Jermaine's statement could be considered an official statement but I kinda think so since it is his brother doing a public live conference about it. To the media anyway it could probably be enough to call it an "offical statement", a sales pitch or something.

No need to worry, this is exactly word by word Jermaine's statement he delivered in UCLA.... ;)

Transcript for the Jermaine Jackson Statement About Death of Michael
by Paul Cashmere - June 27 2009

Jermaine Jackson, the brother of Michael Jackson, was the family spokesperson given the chore of announcing to the world about the death of his brother Michael.

This is a transcript of the statement:

My brother, the legendary king of pop Michael Jackson, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2009 at 2:26 p.m. It is believed he suffered cardiac arrest in his home. However, the cause of his death is unknown until results of the autopsy are done.

His personal physician, who was with him at the time, attempted to resuscitate my brother. As did the paramedics who transmitted him to Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. Upon arriving at the hospital at approximately 1:14 p.m., a team of doctors including emergency physicians and cardiologists, attempted to resuscitate him for a period of more than one hour and they were unsuccessful.

Our family requests that the media please respect our privacy during this tough time.

We all loved being with you Michael, always. We love you.

NO NEED TO WORRY.  UCLA HAS STAYED COMPLETELY OUT OF THIS HOAX LEGALLY!

THIS IS THEIR WEBSITE AND THIS IS THEIR STATEMENT.... :D  :D

On their newrooms link, they say...."The family of Michael Jackson made this brief statement available on June 25, 2009..."

They are completely legally in the clear!    :D

Right - it was very interesting.  On the hospital website they don't say that they acknowledge his death, they say he died at the hospital as given in statement by the family.  They didn't list the physicians or nurses that attended to him and none of them appeared at the news conference to answer any questions (like "yes, he really is dead"). They said a lot about the fans and media that gathered outside but said all returned to normal the next day.  Hmm...this was too casual of a statement.  There was no official condolences offered to the family of Michael Jackson on behalf of the hospital.  I find that strange, don't you?

Ok thanks guys for clearing that up  :)  And yes I do find it very strange that no official from UCLA has offered condolonces to the Jackson family. Do they usually do that when someone famous dies though?

I'd also like to know why Dr Thomme announced Jermaine to the press (instead of Frank Dileo) and Dr Thomme was introduced as Michael's personal physician.  We all know he wasn't - they had him confused with Dr Murray (who we know disappeared at the hospital).  Also, Frank Dileo was supposedly the first at the hospital and you would think he'd speak to Jermaine and the family about the plans to make an announcement to the media.  That obviously didn't happen.  In closing, how did Frand Dileo hear about Michael?  Did Joe or Jermaine call him? And why was he there exactly...?

oops - I meant how did Dr Thomme hear about Michael? Did Joe or Jermaine call him?  I can understand Frank Dileo being there as Michael's manager, but Dr Thomme? Thanks.

Me too!  And where are these "fans"?  Why haven't they come forward and confirmed this, given interviews or something??

exactly! I don't understand why noone has had anything to say, it's Michael jackson we're talking about! Something just isn't right but we just can't put our finger on what it really is, highly frustrating...
