Re: something on his skin...

I remember the 30th and him covering his mouth and thought it odd..like he was self consiounce. I loved his smile the way it was I dunno what he did. As far as a mask goes,I heard somewher that he did wear one, think it was after June 25th. It was my mom who had heard on the news that when they took it off,he had many many small scarss on his face. I was thinking, if this was true, that it may have been due too the sever acne that he had as a teen...then would'nt his "supposed" addiction to plastic surgeries fix that? I honestly don't know. Also I never found the mask story.
We know he hated looking in mirror-hated it. He hated his looks...why I will never know. However he made himself feel more presentable...well it was his heartache, and he had so many I just don't really want to know.

I cant see anything peeling off his skin in the first picture-it looks like a shadow to me. Now the lips have looked differant for a while-more so in the last couple of years.

Agree! Its just a light falling on his chin, look at his neck, same type of light falling on it.
ANd his nose was shot at a different angle.
Stop it guys, its him on both pictures and he looks fanfreakingtastic on both shots!

First of all, I did not read every posting which are made here. As I saw the picture and the speculation about wearing a mask or something like that. I think that he might just put (or let) put a Camouflage-Make-up which is often used for artists to cover skeen diseases or unregular parts in the skin. So it could be just like that and nothing strange about it, because we know that Michael has a vitiligo..Just an idea

Actually, to me, neither photo appears to be MJ but it's mostly a feeling I get although the things you point out in each photo make the face looked masked.  I also notice the  hair alot.  MJ clearly used very expenses weaves or wigs.  The wigs in this photo look like a much cheaper grade of hair.  Makes sense because why would MJ spend as much money on the hair of a double as he would his own hair?

I think that both photos are of the same impersonator.  The differences might be that the make-up/mask can't be applied exactly the same way each time and maybe different make-up artists were used.  For sure, the O2 guy (on right) has a much longer chin than MJ and it differs from the photo on the left as well.

I think 'the thing' on his skin is just make-up, if you use lots of it, you get a pancake effect. I don't know...

I noticed when i watched the 30th anniversary concert, that he kept covering his mouth, when using both mics, i can't help wondering if he was having surgery on his lips and didn't want to be seen close up, the odd glimpe i did catch his lips looked painful to me... like inflamed??
yeah i saw that too. I think he had a surgery on his lips. Because when you watch you rock my world (was not long before 30th ann.) he has also kinda weird lips. So I think that yeah.

I read somewhere that he wouldn't cover his mouth, he would actually cover the mic which helped to control the way he wanted himself to sound on the mic.  something like insulating the sound...  if you look at various concert footage, MJ has done that alot by covering the mic.   that said, he did look quite different at the 30th anniversary -- as if he wasn't feeling well.

yep they use this on the theatre like stage makeup.. they slap it on big time cos of the lights..

i think they are both Michael.. always have..  :D

and the 30th anniversary my partner asked why round his mouth was all red and puffy.. i just said it was cos he keeps putting his hand there and he's sweaty and some of his makeup has come off.. didn't know what else to say..  :?
