Memorial Circle Dance

When I first saw the dance around Jennifer Hudson, there was something oddly familiar about it. Then I remembered-- it reminded me of this miniature statue of the Circle of Friends terracotta. In the center is a place for a candle. Maybe that's why Jennifer wore white. I don't know... just a thought... Here's a link for a picture of the terracotta:

The circle represent an ancient pre-Columbian ceremonial dance symbolizing the unbroken circle of friendship.
