Michael Jackson's Publicist Still Fighting For Her Millions

By Joe Ciarallo on Apr 20, 2010 02:27 PM

Raymone Bain, Michael Jackson's former publicist, is still fighting to get a big paycheck from Jackson's estate.

However, yesterday TMZ.com reported that the Jackson estate rejected Bain's $44 million creditor's claims for back wages and profit sharing.
Not so fast, said Bain's lawyers. In an email today, Willie E. Gary of Gary, Williams, Finney, Lewis, Watson & Sperando, P.L. said, "Reports that Ms. Bain has been defeated in her lawsuit against the Estate are erroneous. Our lawsuit is alive and well."
Bain originally sued Jackson in May 2009. Read the full email after the jump.

"By law, Creditor Claims had to be filed on behalf of Raymone Bain in the State of California as a matter of Probate procedure.
"We expected the claims to be rejected by the Estate as there is still pending litigation in the Federal District Court.

Jacko's Flack Sues for $44 Million
By Jason Chupick on May 07, 2009 02:06 PM

[Raymone Bain via the Washtington Post's "Keeper Of the Famed"]

Michael Jackson's on-again, off-again turned General Manager Raymone Bain is suing the King of Pop for $44 million, claiming he didn't live up to his end of the deal.

Bain apparently negotiated the 50-date string of concerts in London expected to bring in $400 million, of which her cut is 10%.

TMZ has her video statement, which she closes with kind words and "no regrets".

Regarding Jackson's media personae, Bain said in a Geraldo interview last year, "Don't believe 90% of what you read because 9 times out of 10 it isn't true." Sort of begs the question, how much did Bain really help his image? Staying out of prison for molestation is a pretty big achievement, if she helped sway the court of public opinion.

A Washington Post profile from 2006 has by far the most detailed information on Bain and her career from the Carter administration to her deal to return to Jackson as GM.

Remember what Michael said in the interview with Geraldo, who is the absolute truth. 8-)

Ramone brokered the loan deal.  If she didn't already get her money for that she's due that.  For some reason last year, I thought she hadn't.
